I don't know much about Mareep, but are they supposed to be pink?

[Yayoi pans the device down at the Mareep who is affectionately rubbing at her leg and she rubs its head. It's a bright pink color, and its making soft trilling noises.]

The little guy just hatched a day ago, and I was kind of surprised at the color. That's significant right?

I was considering calling mine Miyuki when he hatched but it turned out to be a boy, so another friend of mine came up with the name Cotton Candy.

It's called a shiny Pokemon. I had to ask someone about it the other day.

[Noctis motions to the silver-colored Eevee currently perched on his shoulder that let's out a happy little twill in greeting.]

Carbuncle here hatched the other day and he doesn't look anything like the pictures in the Pokedex.

That would explain it. It's a little after my time so I figured that it was something to do with how it was born.

Apparently it's happened a few times over here. So if you end up with a random egg, best to assume it's going to be shiny, I guess.

There's minor stories of pokemon in my world. I have very basic experience with them, from beforehand.

Most Mareeps are indeed yellow instead of pink, but your new friend looks lovely. He came from the egg you received last month, I assume?

That's right, he definitely hatched from the egg I got. I'm really glad, and Draculaura suggested I call it Cotton Candy.

That's right! He's definitely sweet and affectionate, so it works in Cotton's favor.

Yeah it is, and I'm looking up it's evolution line already. So that's why I have this Megastone for a Pokemon I've just obtained.
