Eve's Garden Circus' 4th Anniversary!
Who: Everyone in Goldenrod who's interested
Where: Eve's Garden Circus, in Goldenrod
When: Open from May 5th all the way to May 31
Summary: It's the Circus' anniversary, and a special event has been added to the usual delight festivities!
Rating: E for Everyone
Log:
It's that time everyone's been waiting for! Time to put that ridiculous prom behind everyone. It's the Circus' anniversary!

Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular this last month or so, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today if you can't make it to a teleport pad!
And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a minuscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.
With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?
Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day on the weekend, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....
There's also the special Anniversary Event! During the week, all of Joker's Pokemon will be wandering or set up throughout the circus. If you come across one of them, they'll challenge you to a game or activity! If you or one of your Pokemon wins, then you'll get a prize! If it's one of Joker's "main team", then you'll win an even more special one! Certain Pokemon are hanging around different parts of the circus, too, so keep it in mind.
And of course... At the end of the day early on in the month, a special anniversary dinner has been set up for everyone who's been invited, including things for any Pokemon they bring.
It promises to be a fun month!

Games
There are your classics, of course. Maybe test your strength? There's a ring toss to play too! Maybe you can try your luck with Ducklett Pond, where you win a prize if you pick up a Ducklett with a lucky number! Of course, you can't always go wrong with throwing darts at balloons... Or balls into baskets, although the balls always seem to roll out, don't they...? If you win, you could get all sorts of neat prizes, like a giant stuffed Zebstrika plushie! Or maybe the stall owner will feel bad for you and give you a cheap plastic keychain... Better than nothing, right?
Of course, if those sort of games don't catch your interest, don't worry! There's a little retro arcade area, although the selection isn't really anything to scream about. (What do you think this is, the Game Corner?) You can win little prizes if you spend some time here, too! There are also things like trampoline areas to bounce on, and a funhouse to get confused in.

The games are obviously the first thing she spots, so she's there first. She darts around, planning to give just about everything a try. She tests out the ring toss, tries the Ducklett pond with little luck, gives the throwing darts and the basket ball games her best try, but she's really not getting out of it with anything bigger then a small plushie.
So for one reason or another, Rakka seems to have gotten it through her head that she should attempt the Test Your Strength game. And right now she's over there, straining to heft the hammer up with both hands. To anyone that's seen her doing this before, it's much of the same... except now she seems to be able to lift it, somewhat anyway. It's still pretty heavy.]

If you're around as the latest round of players disperses, she sidles up to you, hands behind her back and scuffing the ground with her boot.]
Mm...um...wanna play? Don't think y'can play alone...

[While Jinx has never been the best of shots she always counted on her magic to help her finish the job. It would be interesting to see here if her hand eye coordination was still on point.]
Yeah sure kid. Let's see if we can win something.

[She brightens up a little, even smiling. Yesss, someone to play with! Win or lose, it'll feel good to play regardless.
The game probably only costs P200 or so to play, but it might take some time before some passersby decide to join in. Thida sits on one of the stools in front of a water shooter, kicking her legs idly and looking at the other girl.]
Pink hair...real?
[She just wants to know if it's natural, like her own blue has become.]

Vendor Stalls
Perhaps you're more of a drinker... Don't worry. There's a stall vendor that has you covered with glasses. Just promise them you won't actually drink booze if you're not of age...
Or maybe you're looking for something more fashionable? Leggings and t-shirts of all shirts are for sale in more than a couple of stalls!
And of course... Knowing the Circus' reputation for having twenty Litleo and Pyroar together, it seems like there's a stall completely dedicated to having merch of them. From cookie cutters to artwork, they have you covered.

Not only does she have her arms full, she's got several of her 'mons out (the ones WITH arms, anyway) so they can carry her stuff too. She wanted absolutely everything, may just barrel past you to get even more goodies.
"Oooh, this is so cute! I gotta have it!"

The object in question was the last pair of leggings featuring dark type pokemon in a spooky yet stylish pattern. Matching earrings and necklaces were nearby but the leggings were the last set and both pink haired girls were racing for them trailing pokemon in their wake.
Attempting to try and help her trainer, Hex the Murkrow raced forward flapping confidently aiming to snatch the leggings before either girl.

"But those are just my size!" Draculaura couldn't help but whine. "And they match absolutely everything I own!"

Because come on! It sounded like a blast!
Wandering through the rows of stalls in the Vendor's Alley, Noctis was having a pretty good time checking everything out. He'd already gotten himself something to munch on--a Pikachu burger that he had taken a few pictures of with his gear to send to Ash--and was walking along with a couple of his Pokemon in tow. (Shepard had been overly interested in exploring, the Lycanroc darting about in her hat and cape while Carbuncle pranced along after her, doing her best to keep up but darting back to Noctis's side when she got too far away.)
The glint of jewelry gets the prince to pause and he starts to look over a few things, grinning at some of the earrings .
"I wonder if Prompto would wear these.."
Food
You got your usual snack food stalls that are all around, for one thing. Cotton candy is a must have for any self respecting circus, as are fried pickles and chocolate dipped bananas. Funnel cake and delicious ice cream can also be spotted!
If you're looking for something a bit more filling, that's fine too. Go to the main food area, and you'll find things like kebabs, hamburgers, fried or barbeque chicken, pizza... Considering it's Johto and their neighboring town is Ecruteak, you can also find yakitori, takoyaki, yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and grilled squid.
But it wouldn't be Johto if there wasn't a bunch of Poke-themed food too... desserts, drinks, and even bento! Can you resist these burgers?
As is only fitting, there are also large eating areas. Nothing fancy, just good old fashioned wooden tables and benches!
Anniversary Event
To participate, simply put in the subject line where your character is in the Circus, and you'll be RNG'd one of Joker's Pokemon to interact with for their particular challenge!
Outside the Big Top!

As Noctis wanders near the big top, it's easy to catch sight of a tall elegant Rapidash trotting her way carefully through the crowds around it. Not just easy because she is a flaming unicorn, but also because, wrapped around her throat, is a big sparkly red ribbon tied in the largest and most obnoxious bow possible.
Hanging from it is a clear sign that she makes sure to pause and show to people: Ride and win a prize.

On his shoulder, Carbuncle let out a happy little chirp which prompted Noctis to gently pick him up and hand him off to Shepard, the Lycanroc placing the smaller Pokemon on her head underneath her hat for the time being. Just as Noctis turned back to the Rapidash, the sneaky wolf managed to snag his Pokegear because this? This needed to be recorded.
Taking a deep breath Noctis slowly approached the pokemon, smiling in a slightly wary manner as he held a hand out to gently pet the unicorn's neck.
"Hey there...let's give this a go, okay?" he murmured, eyeing the flames warily before, assuming there's no fight, he's going to attempt to climb onto the thing's back.
Because he can't say no to a challenge.

Sneaking around the side of the big top.
But she still really wanted to see the show so with all the confidence of someone who knew what she was doing (Even though she really didn't) She slid around the side seeking a less direct entrance. Hopefully she wouldn't be caught sneaking in. She knew from experience circus folk could either be really relaxed about that sort of thing...or incredibly strict.]

In this case, it's a Luxray with x-ray vision, lounging around by the big top. Lightning the Luxray is one of Joker's top tier Pokemon- she was at the prom, too, and has been at every one before that. For the most part today, she has been content to just lounge around while the shows go on.
However.... Well. It was hard for her to ignore the sight of someone skulking around outside the tent. So very quickly, the bored feline began to stalk after her instead.
Now to see how long it would take to get caught.

Being monitored and stalked by a pokemon however puts her at a distinct disadvantage. She's good but she's not THAT good.]

Staff Area
It's mainly a place for them to all catch their breath, with some tented areas of their own with chairs and refreshments and such. Don't be lazing about too long- there is a circus to run, after all!
Of course, even people not working under the circus can get lost... Or maybe are visiting someone they know who works there? Well, either way, here you are.
Anniversary Dinner
The real Joker has been busy at work all day for something else entirely, and the results are seen when night falls and everyone who was invited to the dinner is escorted by one of his many Pokemon to the staff area. There's a nice big tent that's been set up, with plenty of room for everyone and their Pokemon. There's even enough room for Joker's fire types to laze about, warming up the place, and there are a few benches and other more pleasant sitting places that aren't at the table.
One hell of a feast has been prepared! Everyone's favorite food has been accounted for, along with more than a few others no one asked for but are mouth watering to look at anyway. All that butlering experience sure has come in handy!
Dig in! Relax! And inevitably, you'll find yourself visited by one of Joker's Pokemon to hand you a gift....
OTA
Forgive her if she's a little flabbergasted at the extent of the whole thing when she enters the tent, a bit shy at being invited at all and clearly floored by how much work Joker's put into this - but feel free to pull her into things or her Audino out of things.]

OTA
[There's something very comforting about a constant, and the circus is certainly that. It was here when she arrived, for god's sake. It's a monument to the fact that there is some manner of permanence here. A much needed reminder, really.]
[She's in an elegant green dress for the dinner, though her hair is still up in a high ponytail and her glittery stage makeup hasn't been removed. Guttle and Gilda - her Poplio - are with her, Guttle heavily made up in bright colors in honor of the circus. And she's sporting the cameo necklace from Joker already.]

[The crowd awww'd right up until he hurled one of the knives so hard that the assistant couldn't actually pull it out of the wood again.]
[Now he's back, the top half of the onesie trailing around his waist-- being under all those lights is sweaty work.]
[Other circus folk can find him ravenously tucking into a whole rotisserie chicken.]
[Yes, the whole thing.]
[Don't try and take a piece.]
[Just don't.]

OTA-- waiting in the wings!
[It's also the first time she's performed.]
[And she's had to re-lace her boots freakin five times now or something ridiculous like that, because her hands just won't stop shaking.]
[Beside her, Carousel whickers and lowers her great horned head down to nose at Heather's sleeve.]
Yeah, I know, I know, these fuckin' laces...
[She doesn't have to go on for another fifteen minutes or so, but HONESTLY, the waiting is kind of agonizing. How had she let herself get talked into this again? STUNT RIDING? WHO IS SHE KIDDING!!!!]
[Tightening the laces one last time, she straightens up with a sigh and takes the Rapidash's broad nose into her arms so that she can look her in the eye, very seriously.]
Girl, if I fall off?
You gotta promise to trample me to death as fast as possible.
No take-backs! This bargain is ride or die.
