So, uh... Has anyone ever ended up with more eggs than they expected while trying to breed?
[Bertolt shifts his camera around, angling it at a few neat little piles of eggs. There's thirteen in all, with one set being "guarded" by a Rhyhorn, though she's not so much as guarding them as she is trying to keep Bertolt's Aron from climbing between them to blend in. Try as he might to push by, all she has to do is lower her nose and let him run as fast as he can against her. It's some harmless playing, really!
...And it may or may not be how half of those eggs got there to begin with.]
See, I, uh... I only really meant to breed Marcel again, but I ended up with a bunch from Brunhilde too. A-And there's two more from my Tyranitar and Haxorus, but I can't keep those eggs. Raising Herja was scary enough while she was a Larvitar just from how she'd throw her weight around, so... I'd like to find some good homes for them. The Haxorus - Brandr, he's the father - he's... actually really gentle, so I think whatever hatches from the eggs'll have a really sweet disposition.
Marcel's the Arcanine I bred before, so all of the Growlithe should have the same temperament as their parents. A-And Brunhilde's really sweet too, but she can get kind of pushy, but I think that might just be a Rhyhorn thing? She's the only one I've dealt with personally.
[Seriously, the universe seems to think he's destined to have either really big and gentle things, or small and rammy ones. Thankfully it hasn't been the reverse yet, because Bertolt isn't sure what he'd do if his bigger Pokemon decided to have tantrums and the like.]
For the Growlithe, I, ah... If nobody takes them in, I'm going to see if the Police Academy here in Cerulean would like some for future cadets. They've already met Marcel and they've been really impressed with what he can do, so nobody has to worry too much about them, I think.
[ooc; The list of all of the eggs and their moves are over here!]

[Oh hello Bert, how are you doing today? That's what most people would lead with but not this guy.]

Have uh|
Have you had anything like them before?
[Text]
I've got a Gible and a Salazzle. I'll be fine.

Vid!
[ Hey Bert, it's Ash! He's grinning good-naturedly and takes a closer look at Brunhilde ] Oh, you got a Rhyhorn too? I got a friend with one He rides his around from time to time. They look so cool!
Vid!
[He's kidding, he's kidding, he wouldn't really bribe the police! ...Or would he?]
I've never tried to ride mine around yet, but I've seen people racing with them on TV. They've even got a junior league where kids race with them.
Re: Vid!
Oh wow, that's awesome! I've been wondering where to get one...but I mean, you've got eggs from her too, right? And she's not hostile or anything? I wouldn't try to hop on one right out the egg, that'd be a real dick move to the newborn, but they look really cool, and hardy.
Vid!
[Behind him, his Rhyhorn snorts and a loud clang, making Bertolt turn to look. His Aron is still trying to butt heads with her, but she's just taking it and acting as if it doesn't bother her in the least. Sighing to himself, Bertolt sets the gear down and lets himself flop onto his back so he can grab his Aron (albeit a little awkwardly) and sit back up to lightly bump his head against its nose and feign a motion as if he's going to bite. "Come on, leave her alone."
His Aron takes it as a playful gesture and squeaks, his own mouth opening as wide as it can, making Bertolt laugh and reach for his Gear.]
--Sorry, but yeah. She's... really patient too. I think if any of them had wilder personalities, it'd be because of this troublemaker. I thought I'd let them out together so they can play and maybe he'd chill out a little, but, uh...
[He left for half an hour and eggs happened.]

Opposites attracting huh? At least they didn't get into a bunch of fights with each other and actually did get along!
Here, how about I take one of the eggs? I'll pay ya for it of course. Even if it's a bit of trouble...well, I already got trouble on my team. Another one wouldn't do any harm!

A-Are you sure?
