She's still lying here when she switches on the video, cheek pressed against the dry dirt and slightly muffling up her voice.]

[Holy moley, someone took the bait. Komasan tries his hardest not to get too excited.]

Where are you at, zura?! If you can just wait a little bit, I can send you one of my Pokemon, z-zura! She knows how to teleport, you can get here in no time, zura!

[He's failing.]

[He pauses.

Nope, can't do it. Pretending to be happy just isn't going to work.]

...I don't think I can relax, zura. I...I have a lot of things I need to take care of now, that's part of the reason why I had to come back, zura...

I'm on 30! Route 30!! [She raises her arms in the air; she's finally getting out of this endless expanse of grass. It's seriously endless. She's been walking for days and there is zero signs of civilization for miles to come.] Can you make rolled omelettes?!

[Okay, getting a little too worked up now. Why is he crying? Because he can still cook for people this way? He'll take it, it's all that matters. He'll make a million omelettes if he has to.

...Okay, but first it's time to make math happen. Route 30 is pretty far away, and Pokemon can only travel so fast. Komasan forces himself to calm down for about two seconds just so he can explain how this is all going to go down.]

Ah, right...so my Pokemon have to reach you before they can teleport you, so that might take...awhile, zura.

[24 hours give or take, but like hell he can figure out the exact time.]

If you can just hold on tight and camp out for a little while longer, all you gotta do is watch out for my Pokemon, Murasaki, zura. He's a mongee~ huge balloon Pokemon, so you can't miss him, zura! He'll give you the ball to my other one who'll bring you over here, zura.

[A pause.]

...I know it's a long wait, but it's way shorter than getting here on foot, zura.

[Especially with all those roadblocks...]

[This person is a saint. is the only thing running through Mafuyu's head. Unparalleled kindness coupled with the ability to cook, never in a million years would she have thought she's meet this combination in a single person. If she were to cry right now, it'd be tears of joy and relief because she's finally getting rescued.]

[She rolls over on her back with her arms stretched out to the sky so she can hold the Pokegear up and keep an eye out for large balloons at the same time. Honestly, she's just tired and was thinking of taking a rest anyways, so she'll take a legitimate excuse to lie down.]

This is great...! I'm saved...!! I thought I was going to die out here!! I owe you my life!!!

[Komasan stops and soaks that in, surprised to hear someone say that to him. Flashbacks of his first days in Johto flood his head, his overwhelming gratitude when someone helped him and saved his life. He always dreamed about returning the favor in some way, to be that person for someone else.

He just never expected it to happen so soon, Komasan doesn't feel like he's experienced enough to gain such an honor. It's not even winter yet.

But no, he heard her, she said it. He did it.

So he nods.]

I'll tell Murasaki to move as fast as he can, zura! If...If you ever get bored or need someone to talk to while you wait, my 'gear's always on, zura.

[That seems like something a reasonable Helper Person™ would offer. Wow, he can't believe how mature he feels all of a sudden.]

[Seeing as she's been making nothing but trouble for most of the people she's come across so far, thank goodness for kind souls like Komasan out there. Hearing the news, Mafuyu rolls over onto her stomach, forgetting about watching the skies in favor of something that requires her full, undivided attention: a conversation. With a person. Her, talking with a person. Sort of like they're friends. She's so lucky, she's practically glowing.]

Let's talk! I want to know about you! What's your name? Your favorite thing to eat? What do you like to cook? Can I stay with you forever?!

[It takes all her restraint from slamming a fist into the dirt because somebody who can cook!!!!]

[It takes everything in Komasan not to get dizzy from the sudden onslaught of questions, although his head does wibble slightly. It's mostly his fault though, he could've at least told her his name before he started making plans.]

M-Me? I'm just Komasan, zura... [He scratches his cheek a little, he's no one particularly fancy.] And my favorite thing to eat is definitely soft cream, zura.

[There's no hesitating there, he even smiles a little as his gaze drifts off to the side. Just thinking about ice cream causes a drop of drool to peek out from the corner of his mouth, before he snaps back into reality and wipes it away. Whoops, got a little distracted there.]

Um...what else... I like to cook just about anything, I-I used to cook for my little brother all the time back when we were living together, zura. I dunno if I could live with myself if I let him go hungry, everyone should be eating at least one good meal a day, zura.

[But just before he can go any further into explaining why food is good, you can almost hear the record scratch going off in his head.]

You know I probably should, I just sent her a package yesterday, but I've completely forgot by now. What can I say, I'm a busy guy, gotta lot of things on my mind.

Nobody should have to ask to get roads fixed, they should just be fixed. That's what government is for. That's what taxes are for, public servants. Civilians shouldn't have to be clawing their way out from under natural disasters, it's just...it's barbaric.

Huh? What kind of things?

I'd totally visit you if I was in the area, Komasan! Buuut, y'know, if the invitation's still extended by the time I reach Goldenrod...
