10th Run // Storming Stampede
[ The video shows Ash on cycling road, as the rain is pelting down and he's stopped to duck under a tree for a moment. His loaned bike lies against the trunk and he is sopping wet. Water is visibly dripping from his clothes and hair and he's trying to wring out his jacket. Amalthea, his Ponyta, is shaking herself over and snorting while Crash, his Rhyhorn he squinting up at the sky. Shockmau5 is pacing around the tree, still working off the excess energy he'd gotten from the growing charge in the air. ]
Holy shit guys...this is the kind of rain we'd get back home. I almost panicked cos I didn't have a coat, and the rain back home can be acidic! Was this on the weather report? I thought it'd just be sun, especially with how hot it's been. [ He sighed. But as he kept talking, his Pokemon suddenly started upright, turning to look up the path. ] Ah well. I'm halfway on Cycling Road, in Kanto!, but there's nowhere to really stop and wait it out. Which, kinda sucks. The brakes suck when it's wet. Dunno if I can make it to Fuschia City before it ends or before I get soaked through.
[ Shockmau5 gave a frightened squeak, running to Ash and jumping onto him, tugging on him. Ash turned and looked up the path, What he saw made him sharply intake his breath. He lowered the Gear and turned it, giving a lopsided view of a stampede. There was a massive, electricifying stampede of Blitzle and Zebstrika that took up the entire road, leaving no place to hide or dodge the incoming herd. And they were racing towards him and his Pokemon, extremely fast.
Amalthea took charge with a whinny, rearing up and stomping her hooves. She whinnied at Crash, turning and started to run. Crash answered her with a roar, tossing Ash onto his back and charging. Ash nearly dropped the gear and thunder cracked over the sky. The last shot the Gear caught before it blacked out due to the immense static electricity from the incoming stampede was the bike getting trampled to bits under their hooves, as they continued to gain rapidly- ]
(( OOC: Ash will answer his Gear tomorrow, once he's not dead/re-enacting another scene from the Lion King ))

Video to sort of action;
[That had... not looked good. Not good at all. For the next hour or so Armin keeps nervously checking his messages, keeps trying to connect with Ash, but it's only his voicemail each and every time.
(A voice mail which by now has more than a few nervous sounding Armin messages on there)
Once the hour is up though, he can't just sit still anymore. Maybe Ash is perfectly fine and has simply lost his gear. And Ash does have several very strong and capable pokemon to take care of him, not to mention his own (occasionally dubious) wits, but that is hardly enough to calm Armin's nerves.
Of course heading out into the storm himself is not a realistic option. He wants to help Ash, wants to make certain he is all right, but there is little he can do for him if he gets stuck or injured somewhere out there himself. Besides, if Ash is on the Cycling Road, it would take him several days to reach him, even longer to find him along the days long route. And with the storm knocking out all electricity, he can hardly call for any help.
Which leaves his pokemon.
His first instinct is Amadeus. As his starter, the Noctowl is still one of his most trusted pokemon. His fingers skim of Amadeus' pokeball, stilling when they fall on where Hilde is nesting on his bed, her head tucked underneath one of her wings. She'd been taking Eren's departure pretty hard, but she is also quicker than Amadeus could ever hope to be. He really doesn't want to push her, but if Ash is injured somewhere out there, he'll need help as quick as possible.
It doesn't take much time to explain the situation to Hilde, and by the time Armin is done she is letting out her customary metal-screechy warks, rubbing her beak on his hair. Yes, of course she will go. Her first egg went away and that is sad. But she has a new egg now and if he needs her help, she's going to do it.
Which is all a lot of text to explain why in a few hours of time, Ash can expect a thoroughly soaked Skarmory, carrying a small first aid kit to circle overhead until she spots him, after which she will attempt to land on him, shoving the first aid kit into his face. ARE YOU INJURED, SIR? SHE IS HERE FOR YOU.
And if you weren't injured before, you are probably injured now from having a metal chicken land on you.]

But his Gear was fried. He really hoped he could get it fixed up. Oh, and the bike he'd borrowed was smashed. Technically he shouldn't be on cycling road without a bike but...he'd settled for riding Crash through. He sighed as they trod down the path. He'd given Crash a Poffin or two for saving his arse. He'd need to thank Amalthea too, as she'd led the way.
Still soaked through, he definitely didn't expect a metal bird to swoop upon him. He yelled as Hilde shoved her beak in his face- which set Crash off. Mistakeningly thinking Ash was in danger from Hilde, he did the completely sensible thing...and started charging down the road again.

Hilde had finally managed to find the man Armin had shown her. Or so she thought so at least. Honestly, humans looked very same-y to her, but there weren't a lot of them out here (probably most were more sensible and holed up in their nests like pokemon did during these storms) and he had the right colours. He was brownish like her first egg had been (her new egg was small and yellow, needed feeding up to become big) but both bigger and more brown.
Before she could take a closer look though, the rhyhorn started charging ahead again, which earned him an affronted (but muffled with the first aid kit in her beak) wark.
With a frown, she sped up ahead to hover out on the road in front of the rhyhorn, her wings beating hard in the rain, trying to use her feet to keep him at bay while also presenting the med kit.
(The med kit with a note inside from her new egg. To explain things)

"Ur. Hey." He accepted the medkit and looked it over, finally finding the note. Wiping water out of his eyes he read it over. Oh! Armin had sent her! That explained a lot! He felt bad that he couldn't text him to assure him he was alright. He'd have to call him the moment he got his shit fixed.
"So you're Hilde yeah?" Crash, now with time to look at Hilde and realise she wasn't trying to grab Ash and fly off with him, gave a snorting hello to her.

Another flash of lightening and a roll of thunder has her peering up, letting out a soft screech in response. This is not a very good place to stay in this storm.

"Hey Hilde, come on. Crash, to the shelter." He pointed the way to Crash, who gave a snort and trotted towards it. It was just a cover, a bit like a bus stop, but large enough for a couple of people to set up a tent and certainly enough to get them out of the rain. Once under it, Ash took off his jacket and wrung it out as best he could.

"Christ on a bike. hey, Armin wasn't out on a road when this hit, was he?" He asked Hilde. Him being out here kinda sucked. It'd be way worse if Armin was getting drenched too and had a distance to get to the next town as well. That and the thunder that sounded was really weird; he counted the seconds between flashes of light and the booming sound, but it seemed like the storm couldn't decide if it was coming or going.

The flashes of lightning and thunder had her poking up her head headwards, as If she was listening before letting out a sharp screech. No travelling through that. If Ash had any plans too, he was going to get sat on by a metal chicken.

"Hey!" He pouted under her, trying to roll out from her weight. "I gotta get to Fuchsia, I can't hang about here all day cos of a bit of harmless rain!"

Regardless he sighed and laid back on the floor, given Hilde wasn't budging.

Crash trotted over and sat beside them with a snort. Ash huffed out his nose and pet him. "Guess we're stuck for a bit mate."
