[Anyone paying attention to the 'gear will first be treated to a view of the water. There's no land in sight, just crisp, clear water as far as the eye can see. The 'gear turns after a second and a dock comes into view where Cissnei's is seated with a large, rather upset looking Goodra.

Said dragon has her head resting on Cissnei's lap, soft cries escaping her every now and then. The Turk is quiet for a moment as she strokes the Pokemon's head looking rather upset herself.]

I'm not sure how many people were familiar with him but a dear friend of mine has gone home.

[Looking up, Cissnei smiles though it's a sad one.]

Some of Haurchefant's Pokemon appeared in my PC this morning and I've heard enough to know that's what it means.

[The Goodra whimpers softly and nuzzles closer to Cissnei leaving a sticky mess that the young woman doesn't seem to mind.]

I just thought it'd be a good idea to let anyone that knew him know.

I'm sorry for your loss. He seemed to be a very pleasant person and friend, the few times we spoke.

[Which were admittedly few.]

Friends with such temperaments are to be treasured, as long as they can be by our side.

[Cecil's own smile is equally sad, especially when his eyes settle on the Goodra.]

How are the rest of his Pokémon taking the loss?

The eldest, I would guess, trying to reassure the younger ones. Or perhaps that expectation merely worsens the distress?

[It can go either way, he knows.]

It's good that neither pair were separated, though that is but a slim silver lining compared to their losses. ...But the pain will lessen in intensity with time. I can promise that much.

I would love to tell you it does, but this year's losses hurt just as much as the earliest. Though I find that the necessity of caring for an ever larger team helps the pain fade more swiftly.

Most Pokémon are surprisingly good at seeing through our attempt to hide our pain. If their care itself does not sufficiently distract you, they'll do it on purpose.

Much closer to people than pets, no matter how some treat them. In fact, sometimes I think they understand our feelings better than some humans I've known.
