[This is not Shiro on screen. This is his Gengar, whose name is Haunter. Broadcasting live from the Sevii Islands. Where it, its trainer, and their assembled travel friends have relocated. However, Haunter the Gengar isn't interested in the scenery. It has a far more important mission.]

[Which is... grinning wickedly into the camera.]

[And dramatically holding up what looks like a Mimikyu -- albeit one which has decided to dress itself a bit... strangely. Even for a Mimikyu.]

[Haunter, undaunted, twirls on one foot, and holds its child aloft toward an assembled group of Shiro's pokemon -- the Incineroar, Skarmory, Spheal and Kirlia abruptly cheering. It's basically a scene out of the Pyroar King. A very amusing, touching scene, which is cut short by metal fingers suddenly dropping into frame, and plucking the 'gear back up again.]

Seriously, guys? You're going to get banned from movies at this rate.

[Shiro the killjoy turns the 'gear around to shut it off, which provides a brief shot of his own horrendous shirt before the feed goes dark.]

Not the scene in front of them! Haunter and its baby are adorable. And though Armin has never seen the Little Pyroar King, it's still a cute scene in all.

No. It's the shirt. It's just.

So, you know, Armin is going to sit on the edge of their porch, not really looking at the shirt but also finding his eyes drawn to it. Like corpse. Can't look way. You want to, but you can't.]

They aren't really doing any harm...

[Somehow, by virtue of some force unknown to mankind, the Kirlia senses someone's disapproval. He turns his little blue head around, staring at Armin.]

[How dare.]

They were broadcasting. [Which also sounds harmless, except --] And I'm not... exactly ready to face people.

More people.

[Armin didn't even see Blue, but a cold shudder runs down his back anyway. Why does he suddenly feel so hunted?

At Shiro's words, Armin nods slightly. He certainly is not going to push Shiro to communicate via the network if he doesn't feel ready for that yet. To him, it's enough that Shiro is doing his best to communicate with them, even if it is clear that the events of that nightmare week still weigh heavily on him.]

Well, it was a short, innocent enough scene, so maybe people won't pay much attention to it.

[Because Blue is going to leave a shirt for Armin, too. And hide all his other shirts. Just like he did for his trainer. Just you wait, Coconut.]

[For his part, Shiro blows out a breath, leaning on the porch rail.]

Yeah, that's... the hope. Don't mind if they play around with it, but...

[But there are a couple more faces he doesn't know if he's ready to uh. Face. For lack of a better word.]

[Jean watches the little scene from the porch of the beach house, and he recognizes that Haunter is re-enacting The Pyroar King. Ash showed him that fine piece of cinema after Halloween, along with Sharpedonado and other excellent films. Spookycheeks sits next to him, proud and indulgent over her boys, and after Shiro breaks it up, another little ghost goes zooming down to join the fun.]

[It's... a Gastlie. Named Gastlie. Who is wearing a Mimikyu costume that Mom helped it make and cackling madly, its costume flapping behind it in the breeze.]

Sweet shirt. Where'd you get it?

[Jean wants one immediately. He'll currently have to be content with his Balls of Steel Voltorb shirt, which he's currently wearing.]

[Haunter and the Mimikyu -- who has adopted the moniker "Hauntercheeks" -- perk up at the swooping Gastlie. With Haunter leaping into a complicated cartwheel on one hand, and Cheeks zooming in circles around it.]

[They have the best family ever!!]

[Meanwhile, in answer to Jean's question, Shiro wordlessly points at his Kirlia, who just beams proudly at Jean.]

Blue dropped it on my face. I think he hid my other clothes.

[Jean gets off the porch and ambles down to the Kirlia, crouching in front of him and addressing him directly.]

If I give you some money, can you go find one for me? Maybe different colors and pattern, but the same idea?

[Blue squeaks. Bouncing in excitement. Yes, absolutely! He will get Pants all the ugly shirts he wants.]

[... yeah, apparently Haunter's nicknames for Jean and Armin have spread.]

I'd take that as a yes, if I were you.

[Someone besides the pokemon is watching this big reveal with his undivided attention. He's sitting cross-legged on the ground a little ways back from the production, but he's just as excited and enthusiastic as the rest of Haunter's team.

When Shiro shows up and admonishes them, Krieg levels a surprised look at him.]

You can't stop the classics!

[Look at that proud papa! How could you be so heartless, Shiro?]

[He shakes his head, pushing his hand through his hair.]

I don't want them broadcasting it. Recording is -- man, I don't care. Just not sending it out right now.

[He tilts his head curiously.]

Not up for a lot of conversations.

[A shrug of his shoulders. Like that should be all the answer necessary.]

[Krieg, the kids. They're fine. They know, to an extent.]

That is a ghastly shirt and whomever made it should be retroactively be taken out of existence so that they could never make that shirt and subject people having to see it.

[She was going to say something about the Gengar and the Mimikyu but then the shirt appeared. The shirt is much more important.]

[Instead of Shiro, there is abruptly a little blue Kirlia popping into frame and angrily lecturing. Excuse you, human!! It is a fantastic shirt! Blue picked it out all by himself!!]

[Do you know how hard it is to find anything this sad dorito man can wear comfortably!! Blue worked really hard!]

It is a terrible shirt. The gods would be offended by its existence. They would smite anyone they saw wearing it.

Though my Uncle Grady is about his shape and it is rather hard to get him clothes too. They didn't have any other patterns? Maybe a tailor?

[Well, that doesn't deter Blue in the least. He squeaks louder. His little face taking on a red shade. Jabbing one nubby arm at the screen. He knows Fashion, okay! He has shutter shades and everything!]

[Shiro's hand, the flesh and blood one, has to gently coax him off screen.]

[A pause, she tilts her head.]

Nice shirt, by the way. Didn't take you for the dad shirt type at this stage in your life.
