[Somehow you've found yourself drawn to a small cabin in the middle of the woods. How did you get there? Maybe a Pokemon is playing a trick on you or maybe it has something to do with how weird things seem to have gotten. Whatever the case may be, you're here and the cabin is..empty?

Well, empty sans for a suitcase sitting open in the middle of the floor.

If you find yourself brave enough to peer into the odd suitcase, you'll find yourself looking down at a staircase. Yes. A staircase. A staircase that will lead you into what seems to be a small shed filled with a little of everything--vials of potions or empty ones to be used for potions, buckets of meat and plants, a few books here and there. It's honestly a bit of a mess. But there's also a door. A door that leads into a seemingly endless sized room. At least, that's what it appears to be at first glance.

Welcome to Newt's Menagerie.

Any character that wanders into the the suitcase will find themselves in the midst of what appears to be a zoo filled with creatures they've probably never seen before and perhaps some they have! (Especially those of the Pokemon variety.) All members of Newt's team will be wandering about and helping their trainer care for his magical creatures and Newt himself can be found all over the place as he checks in on all of his companions since it's been awhile since he's been in the Pokemon world for some time now. Feel free to encounter him near any of the creature habitats or perhaps you'll find him chatting to some of his Pokemon--

A sharp eye may spot a few Legendaries wandering about though it could just be a trick of the light. Or maybe Newt's magic at work. It's really hard to say.]

Ceilidh has absolutely no idea what any of these animals are, really. Nor does she care. She found the suitcase with the staircase and, of course, had to go down and see what was there. It was just how things went. The sun rises. Water is wet. You go down mysterious staircases you find in suitcases. And siblings are annoying.

Currently with her - though she has no idea how they showed up but are definitely glad to see them - is a small, bright pink (like hideous, unnatural bubblegum pink) owl by the name of Princess Sticky Bubblegum, a fluffy grey, ordinary looking cat called Mayhem as well as the murkrow Princess She Who Devours the Darkness In People's Souls. Or Pickles for short.

The vast array of animals drew delighted noises from Ceilidh and she eagerly set about talking to anyone she came in contact with, getting their names and why they were there, their life stories as best as she could get them. They all mentioned Newt, of course, so of course she had to go find him.

"HELLO!" she called out.

Indoor voices is something she still has issues with.

Ah. Here again, I see.

[Dorian wasted little time with his introduction. He'd been here twice now, once under similar circumstances. The strange magics that made up this equally as strange world were hardly a surprise to him now.]

It seems that every time I blink, I get dragged hither and tither through, what did they call it? Yes, the multiverse, I believe.

[Though his tone was flat, the corner of his lips quirked up. The longer he spent sitting around, ruining his clothes by crouching in grass and dirt, the more memories flooded back to him.

One of which left him feeling particularly warm.]

I don't suppose anyone has spotted a man with hair like night and snow and the social grace of a mabari, have they?

ii. New Bark Town (Video or Action

Kaffas. [Dorian's normally silky voice crackled with pain as he stumbled forward. A crack followed him, before another sharp burst of agony lanced across his back.]

How many times must I apologize to you, you ungrateful snake.

[This time, a rush of leaves surrounded the man, leaving small cuts against the bare skin of his face and upper arm. Worse still, his hair had been utterly destroyed by the sudden gust.]

It was not my intent to leave you, Viridis. [He turned to face a now rapidly approaching (and quite furious looking) Serperior.]

Maker's breath, creature, with the way you behaved, you'd think you would have been grateful that I --

[He found himself unable to continue with whatever he might have said, however. The creature wrapped itself around him, though whether its intent was to embrace or strangle Dorian wasn't immediately clear.

Either way? You might want to help him.]

iii. Goldenrod

[Despite the time that had apparently passed between his last visit and now, his items and discovered locations remained the same. There were plenty of places he found himself wanting to visit -- the sleepy little town where he'd first met his dearest companion being one of them.

It took some amount of restraint to avoid rushing off to Violet. Instead, he found himself skipping along the "Eluvian" network until the sweeping expanse of Goldenrod presented itself.

He drew a breath, tasting the strange air of the city. More memories trickled back in, and he found himself recalling the many hours he had spent working to get another Pokemon, one that wouldn't be chased off by Viridis.

He found himself making his way to a small little bar, one where he'd spent the night trying to woo Anders.]

Funny how those we care for most seem to disappear so easily. [He spoke to no one in particular, and nursed a glass of wine as he did.]

This world is a peculiar one, don't you think?

[Some of them are beautiful... Quite beautiful indeed. Others... Not so much. But what are they?]

[Really, what sane man dressed like that. Probably one that wasn't all that sane, but Ardyn just sighed and pulled his hair back into a short and disheveled ponytail before regarding the Absol beside him.]

Well, come along, then. Panicking will do naught to help the matter, we'll start by looking for Leonard and the others. Heavens know most of them will likely start a fight first and ask questions later.

[Here we have a strange blue armadillo creature on the side of the road. He was trying to get his bearings, but it seems a couple of young trainers have decided to try and catch him instead of help him.]

[Obviously, this creature is not a Pokemon. He's trying to block the barrage of pokeballs with his clawed hand, but from the look on his face he's getting really irritable. Someone do something before he snaps at the children.]

Prompt B: Lavender Town

[Boris has decided to stop by this "Pokemon House" while he's stuck in Weird Powerful Petpet land. He didn't know what to expect. A part of him was wondering if this was supposed to be this world's equivalent of the Soup Faerie, but...]

[He leaned against the wall as he watched volunteers taking care of the misfit pokemon living there. Not that he thought much of it at first, but after a while he noticed the state of one particularly playful pokemon currently engaged with a toy. Someone who was familiar with this place can identify it as a slowpoke...]

[The slowpoke's tail looked noticeably stumpier than most.]

[Boris wistfully stared at the pokemon for a while before glancing down at his own crooked tail.]

... Guess we do have some things in common. [He sighed as he turned his attention back to the pokemon.]

[Kids pestering sentient non-human monsters is pretty par the course for this world, but Ford's read the Pokédex over several times and this particular monster isn't in it. He remembers how the last time things got kind of wibbly-wobbly like this the universe's rules of internal normalization broke down, so there's a high chance this is a new arrival who's a little less humanized than he'd usually expect. Speaking English (or rather, the universal language that to him translates as English) is a pretty good indicator.]

[The kids turn. Ford jerks a thumb over his shoulder.]

I saw Suicune over there. Why don't you go try and catch it instead?

[He totally did not see Suicune over there. The Abomasnow standing next to him lets out a rumble that is probably a laugh but might be interpreted as a growl.]

Along the bustling city streets--any city, time and space are behaving oddly--there's a young boy. He has short, silver hair, simple, plain-looking clothes, and, should you catch a glimpse of his face, golden eyes. He looks fairly young, perhaps ten, certainly no older than twelve; it's hard to tell given his somewhat scrawny frame and tendency to carry himself like he's trying to shrink into the background and avoid attention.

He's also very obviously very lost, and there's even a visible hint of confusion in his expression as he looks around quickly at the towering buildings and strangely-clothed people and even stranger-looking pokemon all around him. In fact, he's so distracted by it all that he may well manage to bump right into you as he passes by.

"A-ah, I'm so sorry! Please accept my apologies!"


[B - Open]

There's a silver-haired and plainly-dressed boy seated on a bench in a somewhat quieter spot in a park or on the edge of town. Next to him sits an absol, with a piece of absolite hanging from nicely-woven collar around her neck. The boy seems a little uneasy, to judge by how he keeps glancing around, but most of his attention is directed at the absol at the moment.

"I don't think I'm supposed to be here, but I don't know how to get back... If you can understand me, do you know--"

But before he can finish his stomach growls loudly, earning a concerned sound from the absol.

"No, I'm fine!" he says quickly, putting on a slightly awkward smile. "And getting back is more important, right?"

The absol looks unconvinced, and spotting someone nearby looks over with a questioning glance. A little help convincing this poor kid he can relax and get a snack without constantly looking over his shoulder, perhaps?

Sion has no idea what to do. He's never been in a house like this before, and the high ceiling, spacious rooms, upholstered furniture and plush carpets all just positively scream of wealth. Which means nobility. Which means someplace that he really, really shouldn't be.

Not that he can remember coming here, or how he got inside, or anything of the sort; excuses like that wouldn't matter in the least. He'd be lucky if he only got off with a severe beating. Terribly lucky.

To make it worse, the place is filled with... animals of some sort. Really, they looked more like monsters, and while none of them had attacked, several had definitely noticed and were approaching. Sion keeps still, ready to try to back away to the door he'd spotted, but not trying to turn or run; if these were anything like dogs that's usually the best option. One in particular, that looks rather like a large white dog with a horn on one side of its head, glances over its shoulder and makes a few strange noises before coming and sitting down right in front of him.

Elsewhere in the house, Ryner might just hear Dusk saying something... but if not, Jina's sure to find him on the absol's instructions and let him know his presence is needed.

Young Sion is very, very acutely aware of his poor standing with the nobility of his homeland... and as such, will be especially cautious around anyone he thinks might be a noble. If you want a reaction specially tailored to your character, please note what kind of clothes/jewelry/etc they'd be visibly wearing and such, and he'll react according!

He's also a pretty avid battler, and he might challenge someone to a battle here and there. A kid's gotta make money, after all. Hell, if someone is lucky, maybe he offers to buy them a coffee afterward. ]

[Either cranking out coins in the game corner, hollering cheerfully at the machine, digging a companionable elbow into your side, or... well.]

[Yeah, he's riding a Tauros in that race. Without safety gear.]

It's called a Gible. It is something this world calls a Pokemon, specifically of the Dragon/Ground kind. It's also known as the Land Shark Pokemon. It is also classified as belonging to both the Monster and Dragon egg groups.

[Though she is addressing him over the network, Honerva doesn't spare a glance at Blaytz. Her eyes are focused on a handheld, her fingers flying over a small digitised keyboard, glowing a dull pink underneath her fingertips. The communicator she had found on herself, the one she is using to talk to Blaytz now, had almost been... frighteningly low-tech. Thankfully, one of her own handhelds from her lab had been on her as well, and after extracting all the data from the device here onto it, she is going through it far more efficiently, far more quickly than she would've been able to do on the clunky little communicator, comparing it to all the known data they have collected back home. What she cannot do, for some strange reason, is connect her own handheld to the network she is communicating to Blaytz over. Perhaps a difference in communication protocols? Nevermind. It's not important.]

Fascinating. This creature seems to be unlike anything known in our universe. Apart from a few surface characteristics, its genetic makeup is unlike anything I ever seen before. This might indicate a form of convergent evolution, not just across different species and worlds, but even across different universes.

[Once a discovery like this would've sent her into squeals of girlish excitement. The deca-phoebs have narrowed those reactions into an almost hungry little sigh. Her excitement hasn't lessened. If anything it has sharpened. The rift had shown her so many possibilities, possibilities she couldn't even have dreamt of back then. This creature, this world. Was this was what laid on the other side of that rift? One of the many other universes out there?

Something niggles at the back of her mind though, like something she should do and-- Ah. Right. She glances up at the camera.]

[On the sandy beaches of Olivine City, one of the closest things this world has to Waverly Bay, stands a six-and-a-half foot tall man in jeans and a shapeless white shirt with a lace-up collar. His black hat has a flat top, his leather boots are incredibly worn, and the expression on his craggy face is hard and pinched.

At his feet is a little blue Clauncher that he keeps nudging away with the toe of his boot with quick, furtive taps that make it clear he expects the thing to snap his foot off at any moment. It isn't a gem creature -- or if it is he can't see its gem -- but that doesn't mean it isn't dangerous. He's had... bad experiences, shall we say, with crustaceans. The two missing fingers on his right hand attest to that.]

[Yes, you. Roland is used to giving commands. He doesn't like asking for help, usually, but this isn't asking and also this is a special case.]

[Without just stomping on it and killing it, which is tempting but something he has already got the impression he is not supposed to do. Roland is good at picking up on cultural norms, even if he thinks this one is Dumb.]

It's the wrong Stan -- or the right Stan, from the wrong time, but the difference between different universes and different timelines is negligible in this situation. The important part is that it's Stan, and he's caught between wanting to run to him and needing to form a plan of attack first. There are going to be questions and he's going to have to answer them and none of the answers are ones he'll want to give anymore than he can imagine Stan will want to hear them and it's going to be a thing. He feels like he should have prepared for this possibility and he didn't and now it's come back to bite him.

Before he can decide how best to navigate things, his Type: Null glides forward without moving its feet. It makes a beeline for Stan, right through several trees. Okay. This is happening. He sighs and strides forward.]

[Somehow he'd ended up in Goldenrod City. How he got there is a mystery but that's where Noctis had ended up with his Pokemon in tow. The difference this time, however, is that instead of the Noctis many people would be familiar with, it's a much younger version of the Prince.

Currently perched on the shoulder of his Snorlax, Bean, the little Prince was happily munching on a Masala that he'd purchase--or maybe one of his Pokemon stole it, who knows. Flanking the Snorlax is a Tyrannitar, Trantrum, Bewear and a Lycanroc while perched on Bean's other shoulder is Carbuncle the Espeon. The entire group looks both confused and ready to hurt anyone that comes near their little trainer though Carbuncle does look more amused than anything else.

You'll either run into the group while they're wandering or perhaps you'll run into Noctis while he's on the run from his babysitters.

Honestly, what five year old wants to be stuck with babysitters when there's a world to explore.]

[Prompto's been a bit ... frantic. Their arrival in Goldenrod hadn't been out of the ordinary until he woke up to an eight year-old companion.

Currently, the blond is out and about trying to see what could have caused this and how to fix it. He's not planning to be gone from their hotel room long, especially since this younger version of Ignis is asking about Prince Noctis and Prompto isn't sure what to tell him.

He's stopped for the moment, when he sees a Snorlax with what appears to be .... no, no way. Jogging, he stops in front of the group of Pokemon and calls up to the child seated on the Snorlax's shoulder.]

[Of all the Pokemon she could have gotten for a starter, Ellen got a Ghastly. Didn't she tell the universe that she didn't like ghosts or any of that supernatural stuff!? Even worse, she had found herself perched up in a tree outside New Bark Town, all suited up as her Pretty Cure persona of Cure Beat, acting like a cat frightened out of her mind.

Which, well, to be fair, would make sense as that's how she started out as, honestly..

So, what to do with a magical girl frightened out of her mind by a simple Ghastly?]

[Cissnei is still a ways off herself but her Furfrou, Shuriken, had gone ahead to see what all the ruckus was about. The poodle Pokemon doesn't look all that amused by what's going on, letting out a gruff bark as she looks from the Gastly then up towards the girl.

Katsuki Yuuri | Yuri on Ice!!!

[Yuuri still wasn't sure where he was or why he was here. It was all pretty strange and vaguely familiar in a strange way but he couldn't quite put a finger on it. He'd woken up in a strange bed in a strange town and there had been animals all over the place. Animals that were apparently his?

Said animals were, of course, his Pokemon team--a Popplio, Snorunt, Alolan Vulpix, Swinub, Gardevoir and Cubchu to be precise. They all seemed very familiar with him but Yuuri couldn't place any of them.

At least they were nice.

Leaving the house he'd woken up in, Yuuri found himself in a place called Blackthorn where he'd apparently been staying for awhile?? The inn-keeper had been happy to refresh his memory and Yuuri had taken it all in with an awkward smile and a nod, blaming it on too much to drink the night before though that just seemed to confuse the inn-keeper a bit.

Cue his quick exit.

He'd headed out of town and ended up stumbling across the Ice Path, his Pokemon immediately chirping and twilling as they darted ahead to play on the ice. Yuuri couldn't help but smile as he watched them.]

At least they like the ice as well...h-hey! Be careful! [Insert a wince here as his Popplio goes skidding into a mound of snow.]

[Hello Pokemon World! Say hello to one Katsuki Yuuri who's looking rather miffed as he sits with a merry looking Cubchu in his lap, one arm wrapped around it while he holds the 'gear in his free hand.]

I don't remember this place, at all, but I..guess I've been here before?

[The Cubchu let's out a happy little sound, beaming up at him which gets a faint smile out of Yuuri.]

At least these guys seem to think so... [He looks at the 'gear again and frowns slightly; worriedly.] Can anyone explain what's going on?

Vanitas | LORD OF MAHOGANY TOWN

[There was nothing quite as satisfying as waking up one morning and realizing that you had your abilities back. All the powers you were use to from home, your weapon from home, your minions--all of it.

Vanitas was, needless to say, thrilled.

Not only did he have his Pokemon at his disposal but he also had his Unversed and didn't hesitate to summon a swarm of Floods. It didn't give him that same thrill as before, his desire to destroy things not really an issue anymore, but oh did it give him a great idea.

Anyone that happened to wander into Mahogany Town would find it swarming with Pokemon and Unversed alike, many of the usual residents of the town just accepting it since they were use to the antics of Vanitas by now but for the most part it seemed like many of the occupants had left town for the time being. The swarm wasn't destroying anything or hurting anyone but they were definitely taking stock of what they had, some of Vanitas's more intuitive Pokemon dealing with shop-keeps while some of his more brutal ones had found and locked up the Jennys that had been in town.

And Vanitas? Well, he was happily wandering about the town, looking over all his hard work and just enjoying having the Unversed at his disposal again. Especially now that he had more emotional control. It made it so much easier to get them to do just about whatever he wanted.

If you happen to wander into town don't be surprised if you find yourself flanked by various Unversed or even some Pokemon. They have to figure out what you'd doing here before they can just let you enter their town!]
