Who: Joker and Lust
What: Some of the fun in holiday shopping is doing it with friends. And also novelty gifts.

On one hand, there's a certain stress to buying gifts. All the people, and figuring out what they might already have, or what other people will get them, on and on and on...

There's no sign of such feelings on Joker's face as he waits at the meeting spot him and Lust decided on. Bundled up for the cold weather, he's rocking cheerily on his heels. Perhaps it's an action meant to sooth the Larvesta that's apparently a permanent fixture in the front of his jacket. Maybe it's just to work off some spare energy. Either way, him and Angel (just as much of a permanent sight as anything) both perk up when they see a familiar face off down the street.

"Lust!" He waves a hand over to her, as if he's hard to miss and as if they hadn't set up this little shopping trip together. "Over here!"

"Ah, Joker!"

Lust waves in return as she hustles over, wrapped in a thick ankle length hooded coat. She's never liked the cold, since becoming human. Guttle isn't with her, preferring to roll about on the surface of the heated 'karp pond at home. Amoz, her shiny Houndoom, is with her as he very often is. He's had tinsel wound around his horns.

"I'm terribly behind on my holiday shopping, thank you for joining me. It feels as though it's crept up this year and sprung from nowhere."

"I think that's every year." Laughing, he steps forward to meet her, offering his arm again so that they can hustle through the streets and find somewhere no as balls-chillingly cold. "One minute it's spring, and the next ya can't muster up the energy ta get out of bed." A showman's pause as he considers things. "Well, unless ya have a fire type that can get in bed with ya, but then that's a different lack of desire ta get out of bed."

Ash the Larvesta squeaks.

The squeak prompts a soft chuckle.

"Oh you needn't tell me." Lust takes Joker's arm and falls into step with him. "I'm sleeping under a pile of Eeveelutions these nights. They're better than blankets. And far harder to get out from under."

But between the Pokemon and Wrath, sleeping in isn't often an option.

Walking comfortably alongside her, Joker glances along the various shop windows that they pass by. He has something in mind, but it never hurts to wander in and out of places while they're out and about anyway.

"Must be a menace when summertime comes along." Things that are nice in winter aren't always so in summer. "Anyway, did ya have a shop in mind?"

"That's when they find themselves sleeping in the basement."

Except for Iceberg, at least.

"Vague ideas. There's the market, that's bound to be worth checking. And the department store always has particularly nice selections out for the holiday. The chocolate shop, of course. I haven't the much idea what to get for people, beyond Timothy and Henry. I know what I'm getting Timothy, and Henry...I'm still narrowing it down, but something to offer him another creative outlet."

Something he can do, that's enjoyable and soothing for the mind and heart.

"Everyone else..." She shrugs one shoulder helplessly.

He barks out a laugh- at least she's prepared! One learns to be after they've been around Pokemon for long enough. For now, however, he pauses, glancing through the glass of one store. Lots of ornaments in this one, which are an idea, but only good for a limited time.

"I'm sure ya can find him somethin'. There's lots ya can do with yer hands. If he ever wants ta know how ta cook or sew, let me know." Joker can do that much, and he's had long enough now to get used to such fine details with his prosthetic.

"So it looks like we'll both be gettin' Envy somethin', then!" A playful grin. "I have a rough idea, s'just the right thing I need ta fine~."

"I'll be sure to let you know. Henry's interests are...unique. Envy's easy, at least, he appreciates a gift that's also a good joke. And oh, something for his adventures. He and Heather are always going all over both regions."

A good gift is both thoughtful and practical, in Lust's opinion.

"Oh and of course I need things for Wrath. I tend to buy him a number of gifts, and label some from 'Santa Claus'. He's a child, he ought to have the most gifts on Christmas."

"Then I've spotted our first stop." Which is to say he's immediately tugging Lust along into a shop that's right up ahead. Is it a.... clothing store...?

Not quite. It's a costume store, and Joker's eyes are shining with restrained laughter as he glances back at Lust. Is he taking he to where suitable Santa outfits can be found? Of course he is.

"Oh god, what idea's come to you now?"

Lust can guess, but she almost doesn't want to. She goes along, of course, shaking her head and laughing quietly under her breath.

"A brilliant idea~!" Laughing, he stops in front of a rack with plenty of Delibird red-and-white coats. Taking one out, he holds it up against her.

"If yer gonna play Santa ta a kid, shouldn't ya go all the way?"

"Oh no, no, not in my house." Lust holds up a hand, laughing. "While the concept of Mr. Claus is accepted, the reality of him.... I'll put it plainly for you, Joker. We set out traps. We take defenses against the holiday invader."

None that ever work, of course, but it's not safe home to wear a Santa suit in.

"So I definitely shouldn't dress up as good ol' Saint Nick and surprise all of ya, is what I'm hearin'." With Joker, it's hard to tell if that's a joke or a genuine threat. His smile stays the same regardless.

"How do ya deal with all those on Christmas morning then?"
