I just checked the kids levels today and to my surprise, all that casual leveling has paid off! Pikachu's now 100 and I'm really excited for her.

People where I'm from know about fairies. My Uncle Sean specializes in fairy law and contracts. It's just the ability to travel to different planets or something they don't really believe.

Oh yeah. Facing someone who gets power from their home base in their home base is really stupid; fortunately we don't have that problem most of the time. And if the problem happens at home then we get the power boost.

There's about twenty-three of us. About because I've got a cousin who is kinda weird and doesn't live in Eire. He spends most of his time surfing and drinking beer. About once a year he comes to visit and spends most of it watching TV and drinking beer.

Exactly! My eye color is the same way. I've always wondered what I'd look like blonde.

Yeah, the Happiness Charge Precure had the worst of it, when Queen Mirage attacked the world. Her home base amplified her powers tenfold along with all of her minions. I was off doing damage control in my own town.

Ah, makes sense. There's been a lot of new Precure in the last ten years in my world, and there's been about twelve generations beforehand.

I'm all yellow. Yellow eyes, yellow hair, it's fun.

The worst that we've gotten is some gods trying to take over the world a few years ago... but my aunt, uncle and cousins stop them! ...With the help with some other people...

[She has to give credit to the other people. Some of them are actually pretty cool.]

We've been around for ages, like I said. Sometimes something happens and everyone but one of us dies... which is really kinda weird but ... it happens.

We've had a problem with a rogue God before, his name was Red and he was the god of Mars.

It seems like there's new Precure being activated every year in my world. I'm surprised at how many there are.

Well, that's not the most imaginative name. I suppose it's better than Mars god of Mars. Or Mars god of the color red?

[She laughs a little.]

The ringleaders of my god problem were Ash and Melkor. They're a god of the moon and death from some forgotten pantheon... somewhere.

[A bright smile.]

Ah, I see. We've had evil corporations, evil musicians, the embodiment of sorrow, etcetra.

Melkor owns the largest multinational company in the world; so that's an evil corporation. Mum's stopped a couple of evil musicians... no embodiments of anything though.

It sounds like my world's names for places are similar.. or at least sort of exist on your world but not mine. You recognized Eire, but I'd never heard of Ireland since coming here.

Ah yeah, I think so. I did a lot of history in school when I was working on my manga so...

I tried snails once. I'll do a lot of things but never that again.

[She wrinkles her nose a little but then brightens a little.]

You need a licence for that?

Well, when I say licenced I mean, basically anyone can do it. But you need a team, a publisher willing to take on your books, it's a whole lot of work.

They can be very irritating.

You've got an official publisher and everything?

Do you have fans? Have you done the con circuit?

[Nodding, she grinned at the questions.]

Yeah, Tsuburaya Publishing! They're really old school but they're the best.

And yeah, I have fans, I've met several during meetups and I've done the con circuit too even when I was starting out.

Never heard of them! [She laughed] But if they're the best then it doesn't matter.

Get any weird fans?

I've been on a tour with my mum - she's a singer - a few times and met a lot of weird fans.

I've met a few fans who've sent me love letters before. Being young and single doesn't usually come in the process of being a mangaka.

Not that it helps, the hours are grueling.

I'm not surprise you've gotten love letters. You're rather pretty and authors and artists are mysterious.

I hope they were respectful.

Mum's gotten quite a few love letters over the years... and some stalkers.


Those tend to end up in the hospital.

Ah, yeah, that's true. I did the con circuit too when I was starting out as well, so a lot of people know that I'm uncommonly attractive for a Japanese girl. Blonde girls aren't common back home unless we dye our hair. I don't.

Well, kinda. I had to burn a couple but I tend to answer fanmail.

Haven't gotten those though. Thankfully.

There's novelty value, sure, but you'd still be pretty with any colored hair.

Aunt Maeve burned one, once, when they snuck into a party and mistook her for mum.

Mum usually just breaks something, but she's always nice to the not crazies and tries to answer the fan mail.

[Funnily McCallums injuring stalkers etc is taken, by the authorities, more like the person sticking their hand in a bear trap while saying, "Look, I'm sticking my hand in a bear trap!" and then complaining they got injured.]
