I mean, the fire is fire, what ever, but the water...or the poison. Could you milk an Ekans or something and kill someone with that poison? [He figures with how many times Ash has died and been resurrected in the show, at least in the time he's watched it, death can be reversed by a great deal of pokemon, but still.
