I was thinking about that...but also, like. I mentioned this to someone else, but can you drink the water Pokemon produce?

I mean, the fire is fire, what ever, but the water...or the poison. Could you milk an Ekans or something and kill someone with that poison? [He figures with how many times Ash has died and been resurrected in the show, at least in the time he's watched it, death can be reversed by a great deal of pokemon, but still. That's be a horrible way to go.]

They know what normal animals are, though. They mention them in the Pokedex. The owl Pokemon, the rabbit Pokemon... So maybe they exist somewhere in this world, just not here. And they import meat from there.

That's the best guess I've come up with, anyway.

Vegetarianism wouldn't even be a safe alternative, as you'd never know if your salad contains grass-types.

Unless you're thinking about just using a generated leaf from one of their attacks instead of chopping up an Oddish.

Honestly it's either Pokemon meat or a very convincing meat substitute

I know it's not very nice to think about but it's not like people in other worlds don't keep cows and pigs and chickens as companion animals while still buying pork chops and steaks from the store
