Lavender Ahoy! - Video

I reached Lavender Town last night, and oh my gosh it's so spoopy here. I love it. It's very peaceful and respectful and there's ghost pokemon everywhere!

Mimikyu really loves it here, he's been out of his ball for the entire time we've been in here.

I'm going to head to the markets to see what I can find later. And maybe draw on some inspiration for my manga too.

You're writing a manga? What is it about?

The storyline is in development but I'm thinking it's going to be about an International Team of Magical Girl Superheroes fighting an Alien Menace that has been asleep since the Ice Age called the Varboss.

[Cause making a tribute to her co-superheroes is something Yayoi can do.]

And then set it here in a world similar to this one.

I hope this team gets along and does well. [Or at least better than she was able to do back home]

So will there be pokemon in it too? Or does this take place in a world without pokemon?

There's some rocky starts, Black will be at odds with Pink, but Red will smooth it over at first. And Blue will have personal problems that keeps her from joining fully.

They're all trainers from the various regions, so yes they'll have Pokemon matching their elements.

[And now she's just thinking of the magical girls, and potential magical girls from home that fit those colors, she broke out laughing.]

I'm sorry. It really does sound interesting, and I look forward to reading it. It's just...I have uhm...acquaintances that have similar color schemes. And I thought of them just now.

I noticed it's a running trend in other worlds. I used to be a active superheroine as well. It's been, gosh, at least 10 years since the last time I transformed?

And then I started drawing manga professionally.

[Oh good, she used to be a magical girl too.]

Oh my! That is a long time. Before I got here, I transformed and fought daily. I actually wound up here from the middle of the fight. [No that fight was over, Mami. You lost.]

Huh! I'm glad to find someone from a magical girl world then! Were you Precure or something else? What was your element?

I wasn't Precure. [She didn't even know what that was other than probably a magical girl group.]

I was a Puella Magi. I mostly worked alone, but...[She smiled sadly at the thought of Kyoko, Madoka, and Sayaka.] I would've liked some friends.

I could summon ribbons, and create, bind, and cut with them. I used to use them to make rifles to fight with.

Hmm, so different worlds entirely then. Well, I'll be your friend, though we'll have to battle for who is senpai and kouhai.

[She added with a teasing remark.]

That's new for me. I could control Lightning on several levels of intensity, and even use it to absorb attacks and redirect its energy towards people, like a kinetic rebound.

I'd appreciate it.

And lightning? That's amazing. I've never really met a magical girl who could do that before. [Not that she doubted there was one back home.]

Did you name your attacks? [She was hoping yes, she didn't want to be the only magical girl who did so.] I used to call my binding move 'Regale' and my finishing move 'Tiro Finale'. [Fiore, Regale, Tiro Finale? There might be a pattern here.]

I have a few major attacks, Peace Thunder, Peace Thunder Hurricane, but for the most part, when I was using lightning for punches, kicks and overall movements I didn't name them. I wish I had a name for that move I had that I dropped a kilometer thick beam on Pierrot though...

Oh good. I was the only magical girl I knew who named her attacks back home, so I'm glad I found someone else who does.

Peace Thunder Beam? Or maybe Peace Thunder Rain? Since Rain falls, and so did the beam? [Was she joking or was she serious? It's hard to tell.]

We also call our attacks out too, so there's a thing we do.

[Okay, Yayoi officially likes Mami now.]

Thunder Rain sounds like a great name for the attack.

Nothing higher level than 30 though.

What...kinds of things do you do now? Here, I mean. I know you're working on a manga, but do you just travel outside of that?

It makes me feel like a superhero and I love that.

I'm a traveler, and I'm doing the Gym Challenge at the Elite level. I slacked off quite a bit in between challenges so I want to give myself a push and try again.

Is there a reason why there are so many in that one town?

Lavender Town is a historic area with a lot of buried Pokemon and humans here. It's a resting place for a lot of Kanto people. And I guess Ghost types are drawn to it.

Do you know if anyone has ever seen any human ghosts. Like not connected to pokemon?

I heard a rumor that some Ghost Pokemon are actually humans who passed away. But Mimikyu doesn't seem to harbor that feel to him.

But as for ghost-ghosts, I don't know. I haven't seen any but I'd love to find them.

Yeah, my starter is apparently a ghost of a dead kid possessing a tree stump.

[At that, Crafty the Phantump pops up next to him.]

Me too. It seems weird that all humans who died and became spirits became pokemon. You'd think in just numbers, there would be at least some human ghosts floating around.

I'm not too sure if Mimikyu has a story like that.

Maybe unlike normal ghost pokemon, they're actually invisible to people. You know, just to make sense of it all?

It's good that you're pushing yourself again. I think I may do some gym battles too. The whole concept is rather interesting, and Fiore is starting to become stronger.
