[The first oddity to Madoka was the sensation of waking up. She's constantly appearing where needed and hasn't slept since her wish, so waking up from sleep is already a red flag. The pink haired wanders out of the house in a daze, with Audino by her side. It's only as she stands in front of the route that she remembers she picked up what reminded her of a phone.

Welp... As long as she's dreaming...?]

Hello...? This is Madoka... Kaname? [Can she use that surname anymore?

Shaking her head, she continues.]

If this is a dream... and this must be a dream, right?

So if it's a dream... As Sayaka-chan and Mami-san out there? Or, um... Homura... chan? [She pauses, then looks downwards to the left. Her Audino looks back up at her. Madoka points her video at her,] 

Is this what Incubators look like in this world? Or... This dream, or... Uiiie, I'm so confused. [Madoka's dazed calm is threatened by panic,] What's going on?!

[Madoka is still confused, but tries to accept it. Wiping her tears, she gives a little smile.]

No more witches is great... Yeah, this'll be great. And we get cute friends, huh? [She turns a happy sob into a giggle.] Hatching an egg... That sounds just like you, Mami-san.

Does it? [She giggled.]

Have you already left New Bark Town? The place you woke up? If you'd like I can wait for you in the next town over?

[She hoped that would be okay. She wanted to actually see her friend again., not just over the Pokegear.]

Well.. Actually, I kind of have no idea what I'm doing! I thought I'd just walk down this trail until it ran out, or led somewhere..?

... Thinking about it now, this might be a bad idea. Is um... The next town close? Is there a bus stop?

Don't worry. You're doing fine, especially for being in such a new place.

That trail does lead to the next town, yes. No bus stop unfortunately. I got here in about four days, but I was taking time to-[cry about dying]-uhm bond with my Budew.

If you're worried about traveling alone, and are willing to wait a few days, I can come and get you.

Madoka looks stunned, then corrects herself:]


What? Oh, nooo. You don't need to worry about me, Mami-san. I mean, I'm a second year. We did a nature hike in the 6th grade, I think. [And Madoka would have learned nothing. She probably goofed around with Sayaka.]

Well then, if you're sure, then I'll wait for you here.

[She was not complaining at all athaving to stay in Cherrygrove a few more days.]

Right... I can't wait to see you, Mami-san. I have so much to say! It's weird, but it feels like I haven't seen you in ages.

I can't wait to see you either. It's so nice to see a familiar face.

Have you been here long...? I hope you haven't been lonely, Mami-san.

I haven't been too lonely. I have my new pokemon friends with me.

[But Madoka does doubt it slightly. After all, Mami really likes people.]

Have you met a lot of kind people here, too?

Oh, yes. Everyone here has been rather kind.

[But Mami tends to be her own worst enemy in the making friends department]
