Hello, my blossoms.

I don't know how many of you know me by now but my name is Dr Pamela Isley. And those who do know me may be aware that I have a certain love for plant life.

Anyway, obviously with spring now here, many of my plants are now yielding their various produces and I'm now in possession of a large amount of stock. It only seems to make sense that offer the literal fruits of my labor to you all.

So I've opened up a little business. I would be most grateful if you took the time to have a look.

It's self owned so the majority of the profit will be going back into my gardening, taking care of my Pokemon and funding my research. (Oh, and supporting my partner's ever growing collection of large aquatic shelled Pokemon.)

You're not against someone wanting to buy a..lot of stuff at once, are you? Specifically Pokemon berries?

[Hi, Dr. Isley. See this young man? He's hesitant to ask because peering over his shoulder, bending down to do so mind you, is a Snorlax who looks quite intrigued.]

I have a feeling this would make things a lot easier on the market in Olivine if I didn't have to wipe them out constantly.

Not at all. The Berries themselves grow exceedingly fast so I always have plenty.

[Ivy chuckles at the sight of Bean.]

I will have to keep at least one basket of each sort for my other customers though.

[Noct smiles sheepishly.]

Yeah no, of course. I wouldn't--we totally don't want to take everything but it..would make things a lot easier if we could get extra stuff to help.

[Bean rumbles in amusement, patting her trainer on the head with a paw that gets more of a grin out of him now.]

And it would make Bean really happy.

Of course, dear. It makes sense. All Pokemon have their special diets, afterall.

Are there any particular flavours she dislikes?

[Noct glanced up at Bean who put a paw to her mouth in thought, the Snorlax quiet for a couple seconds only to rumble a moment later and shake her head.

The prince can't help but snort, glancing back at his 'gear.]

No, she'll eat anything and everything. We haven't found anything she dislikes yet.

[Bean grinned a big grin and pat her belly now. All food was good food!]

[Ivy looks amused herself.]

Well, there's certainly nothing wrong with having a healthy appetite.

A bulk assortment of Berries it is. Did you want to place a standing order?

Yeah, that sounds good.

[Bean added a rumble of approving, leaning down so Ivy could see her big grin.

Is it alright if I send you enough money for a few months in advance? It..will honestly make it easier for me to keep track of.

Of course. I'll send you a note alongside the itinerary for each delivery saying how far you're paid up too.

You'll just need to let me know your location. Pokemon Berries are unique so I'm able to ship them further than my other produce without worrying about their quality.

I have a place in Olivine City! I'll send the address over through text. Even if I'm not there at the time I have Pokemon that stay there permanently so they can always pick the delivery up.

What an impressive variety of products! I'll certainly make a few purchases sooner or later; my team greatly enjoys homegrown vegetables, but my own garden has never produced anything edible.

[It's a tragic tale, truly.]

Do you have any specific recommendations for this time of the year?

That's a shame. It's more than achievable if you put the work in.

Let's see... Rhubarb is always a must in spring. As is asparagus.

With your vegetables for this time of year the best will be broccoli, lettuce, peas, radishes and, of course, spinach. Though, many of them well be back in season for fall too.

If it's your sweet tooth asking, the first strawberries and apricots always have a wonderful flavour to them.

Hard work means very little against a determined gaggle of Grimers, I've found.

[He's been fighting them for years, after all.]

Asparagus, you say? That'd be perfect for my morning omelettes. And between the rhubarb, the lettuce and the spinach, I could make salads for lighter meals during my nights at the Gym... The fruits are also tempting, but it's unlikely I'd get the chance to taste them if my team hears of their existence.

Perhaps you should relocate your patch and put up better defenses?

Well, I have all the ones listed if you're interested. If it's your Pokemon appetites that worry you, I still have plenty of Berries for them to eat also.

I've considered surrounding it with burning spikes drenched in repels, but my Grass- and Bug-types disapproved. I've no idea why.

[He knows exactly why.]

I'll have to ask them why flavors they'd like, then. I have a feeling I'll end up buying some of every sort available, but it'S best to have it confirmed first.

I find my own Grass types so perfectly at defending my gardens. Though I do have some mild mannered Fire types to keep eager Bug types away.

A feat mine would love to match, were they not so affected by the... unique aroma only a dozen Grimers can have. Though perhaps the thought of berries and apricots could convince them to ignore their disgust long enough to battle.

Perhaps. My Muk is not allowed around my gardens on principle and she's never had issue following that rule.

It's very kind of her to obey. Their mere presence tends to have a... dramatic effect on tomato plants, among others.

A few simple precautions have stopped it being an issue for us.

Those precautions do not involve repels or burning spikes, I imagine?

No.

A simple talking to. Her own area in which to roam. Non-Grass and other Poison types to keep her company. Casual reminders. They've all worked out pretty well for me.

All options that are less suited to wild medium-sized bands, I fear. Though perhaps some of my Steel-types could... persuade them to visit less often.

You grow plants?

[Someone is really amazed by this. Hey, come from a place where outside is a rocky, stormy wasteland and everything nature related is amazing.]

That's ....so cool.

I do. It's sort of 'my thing'. Many of the things you ate at the party were made with something I'd grown.

[She smiles.]

Really? You must have a really big garden.

[That's where plants grew right? Or farms? She can't remember.]

Do you think lots of people will buy stuff from you?

A very big one. You can come see it as long as you promise to be gentle.

I don't know. It's not really a bother if they don't. I can make excess into preserves. And I grow them because I want to, not to make a profit.

Maybe you would like some samples? I have some lovely strawberries.

I promise. ....I'd like to see it sometime. I think I like nature.

[Said very seriously. This is a place that grows food. Therefore it is important. Food production/food being super important is drilled into your head at an early age when you're on a colony. Also things like air and gravity and everything else the wonderful company did to make this place livable for you.]

Are those the red ones?

You should. It's a wonderful thing.

There are. They're very sweet and tasty. I think you'd like them.

It is. I really like trees the best.

[She's pretty sure she's eaten strawberries, most of the red things tasted good anyway.]

If you have any extra ones.....I'd like some.

[She's still unsure about selling vs people giving her things and money and everything. It's complicated on many levels.]

Oh, trees are wonderful. I have plenty of trees for you to meet.

Of course, I'll send some over and you can tell me if you like them.

Before you go. Can I ask you.....are there many different types of trees? I see different looking ones but I'm not sure.

I was going to look for a book about them when I went to the library again but you probably know a lot about them.

Oh yes, there's lots and lots.

There's plenty of books I could recommend. Or I could write you a simple one myself to begin with?

You don't have to do that. I can look in the library if you know some good books.
