So from the news report and ....the general chaos during prom. I'm guessing that wasn't a normal thing that happens here?

Even with the myths and legends around things like that. It was pretty cool to see something like that up close.

Since there's so much stuff here and it seems to be spread out in old libraries and just peoples personal notes. I was wondering, is there like a place where everyone can share the information we find on stuff like this? Some sort of document on the gear or something people could add to when they find out something interesting?

I mean, if we gathered together everyone's information, we might be able to figure out a lot more about the mysteries of this place.

It's- normal-ish? Weird things tend to happen a lot, but I think this is the first time something like this specifically has happened. With the- sky-portal thing and the weird jellyfish Pokemon.

What kind of weird stuff?

Usually just swarms of Pokemon, the normal ones. But one time a bunch of ghosts showed up? People from home, who'd died. They just. Kind of followed around the people here they knew.

[She's quiet for a moment.]

That was. Bad.

And there was one time people just kept singing, whether they meant to or not? And once a bunch of people ended up in each others' bodies for a few days. That was weird.

[It sounds more personal then just, old ghosts so he's able to contain his normal launch of questions. The other stuff though.]

Ugh, body swapping? That is super annoying. I'm glad I missed that one. ...actually also the singing one too. That seems kind of random though.

Did they happen randomly or was there something before that started them. Or like a similar date or something?

It WAS super annoying. The friend I got switched with made a really embarrassing video looking like me and it took a long time before I figured out how to prank him back.

For a while they were mostly happening on Fridays? But there wasn't any real warning or anything.

Oh wow. Even Mabel wasn't that bad when we switched bodies.

[Mostly because they'd been the middle of their own war/suck up contest to Stan to get the room for themselves and the switch just made THAT worse.]

What kind of prank did you get him with?

Really? Friday huh.... was it a bunch of Fridays in a row or were they all spread out? And did you ever get an "official" explanation for what had happened?

[Yes he did put his pencil to the side to put air quotes around official. Never trust the official story.]

I signed him up for a pie of the month club without telling him. ...he really hated pie, but. I didn't actually know that until afterwards. So it was a prank but kind of by accident.

[She is not skilled in the Pranksters Gambit.]

For a couple months it was basically every Friday. I think eventually one of the legendary Pokémon said they'd done it? Kind of accidentally, I think.

I think that would be a good idea. There are some people around who have been here for years and have experienced and learned a lot about this world, but I think we should always be prepared for the possibility of them disappearing someday too. If we don't write down this sort of information somewhere accessible to others, we risk losing a lot of it.

Plus, if we'd write down the various strange events that have taken place here, it'd be much easier to find and patterns and perhaps even be able to prepare for future occurrences.

That's a good point too. Especially if we have no control over when people come and go. We could lose years of research just because no one else had a copy of it.

[The no control over people leaving isn't something he likes to think about given that he's apparently been here already with Mabel....and then without Mabel.]

Yeah! I mean if things happen more then once, or similar things....tracking them might give us a head start in the case of another ....portal, or whatever that really was, opening.

Right. That's why I started keeping a journal when we ended up here. I figured, if I went back to our world, I wanted my friends to still have access to the things I learned here.

Plus, well, I thought that if I ever ended up in this place again without memories, my own journals would be able to convince me that I had been here before. I don't think anyone could forge that.

I started one out of habit, but yeah that's another good reason to keep one.

....Yeah apparently I've been here before. I've talked to a few people who knew me. ...it's kinda weird.

[And creepy. And that he doesn't remember is worse.]

So there's the idea of making a physical copy of everyone's notes. Or....and I'd have to look more into the gears here and how they work. Making a digital copy. It would be easier to add new stuff but probably harder to figure out how to actually make it in the first place.

Both might be a good idea. In case something happens to one copy.

Possibly. I mean I don't know if they have the internet here....I should really figure that out. But they do have a network that the gears can post on so it's not out of the question that we might be able to make something that other people could edit.

At least I don't think it's out of the question. I'd have to find someone who knows more about the gears and computers....and the internet.

I usually stuck with journals back home.

You've probably already asked Dr. Ford; I know he's been writing down a lot of stuff about this place. He'd probably also want to help you gather all the information that's out there.

You should talk to my friend Armin too. He's been keeping a journal since he got here and would probably be happy to talk to you about what he's found.

Oh! I met him already at the library when we were at the prom. He was telling me about the legendary pokemon he saw and let me copy some of his notes on it!

I got some pictures of the ones back on the beach and that fire bird but it's hard to focus on one thing when there's so many mysteries here.

That's one of the reasons why I thought it might be a neat idea to get everyone's information together. People might think they're the only ones looking into something when other people are too.

I haven't been as long as most people seem to have been, but your idea sounds like a good one! It'd be nice to know if there's, like, a theme or a way to predict weird stuff that happens here. Then people could be more prepared!

I'm ...pretty new here too. Just about two months-sh. Me and my sister Mabel, showed up in March.

[Though apparently he'd been here in the past but that's just....confusing enough to be awkward.]

But like, if people have been here for different lengths of time or seen different things. Then we could gather it together and maybe figure out if there are certain things or just times that we need to watch out for.

Anyways, back to the collecting info idea. Maybe someone with programming skills could create an app for the gears that everyone could access? Like some sort of file uploading program where you could submit your findings, then check it as either public, so anyone can look at it, or as private, so maybe only people who have a pass-code can access it.

And we might not get along ALL the time but Mabel's like my best friend. She's my twin...I'm really lucky she's here. I mean, we're a team.

[Mystery Twins! And Dipper would be a wreak if she wasn't here, they aren't usually apart for long periods of time. Apparently the past version of him here, had lost his Mabel and gone off and get lost in the woods by himself because of that, which he .....totally buys himself doing if she vanished on him.]

An app! That's a great idea! I wouldn't be able to make one myself ....unless they have books here on how to do that stuff. I could probably learn...

There's gotta be books somewhere. Or notes from someone who has made apps for the gear before. I'll keep an eye out myself for some while I travel. Although, it might be easier to just call out like this and see if anyone responds back with some ideas of where to start. If my friend Pidge was here, she'd be able to knock one out in no time at all. She's a freaking genius with tech and programming it.
