Old Man Battle
Who: Jack and Ford
Where: Olivine
When: May 23rd
Summary: Old men fighting.
Rating: PG-13 for mild violence
Log:
[Handsome Jack is not doing well.]
[He's honestly not even sure how he ended up in Olivine. When the hell was he here last? There was the heist in Goldenrod, and then...bars. Vague memories of bars. How much time has passed? He's obviously getting better at drinking binges, though, he at least woke up in a hotel. In the lobby on a couch, but still.]
[Currently, he's scrambling to get back on track. He's done nothing for much longer than he ought to. But hey, he deserves it. He lost his daughter and his husband, right after the other, and what's left of his family seems to be avoiding him because nobody wants to deal with him when he's all messed up with grief.]
[Assholes. So what if he's unreasonable? So what if he's lashing out and treating everybody like shit? That's what you do, you put up with it. That's caring about somebody. Even Felix...]
[Ugh. Jack doesn't want to think about Felix right now. He misses the guy in ways he wasn't expecting. It hurts. He feels like he lost some vital part of himself and he doesn't know how to get it back.]
[But he's got to get to back to business. He hasn't turned anything in in longer than he's comfortable with, he's got a reputation to maintain. He's also uncomfortably sober. So he's skulking around the beach, Rocket uniform under his clothes and mask and wig in his bag, sipping a coffee and looking for a likely target....]

FINALLY, HERE HE IS
The Mareanie he picked up in Sevii is with him. He's set up some rocks and shells along the top of a piece of driftwood and is having her snipe them off with Spike Cannon. It never hurts to practice speed and accuracy.]
Very good, Medusa. Now see if you can hit them from further away.
no subject
[Jack's gaze focuses, hidden behind a pair of sunglasses. Talk about a likely target...rarer-than-average Pokemon, old guy that's not gonna be able to put up much of a fight...]
[He shifts, checking how busy it is in the area right now. Not too busy at all. Alright, good. This is good. He's got a good feeling about this! It's gonna be a breeze!]
[Trying not to draw any attention, Jack stands and tosses his paper coffee cup and heads to a public restroom down the beach. He can't exactly change into his Rocket stuff right out in the open. His 'Rocket stuff' including his long blond wig, to disguise his identity. It also means taking off his mask, so the metal clasps don't show at the edges of his white Rocket mask.]
[Handsome Jack takes great pains to keep his Rocket activity a secret.]
[With his own things hidden and stashed for later retrieval, Jack's ready to go. He comes up behind where Ford is training, his Scolipede at his side. Striking an intimidating pose, he lowers and muddles his voice, to disguise it.]
Hey old man! I wouldn't bother with all that training, you're not gonna be keeping that Pokemon for long.
