Rocket Heist Log
Who: Rockets and any Trainer or Breeder in the area
Where: MooMoo Farm
When: June 20th, night
Summary: ROCKET HEIST LOG
Rating: Let's not make it R rated y'all
Log:
Goal:
Moo Moo Farms…idyllic, peaceful, filled with a whole lot of valuable, prize-winning Pokemon ripe for the taking…
At least, that’s what one of the mid-ranked Admins out near Olivine is thinking. I mean, come on, it’s a sleepy little ranch, how hard can it possibly be to round up some Miltank and Tauros from under like, one Growlithe’s nose?
Well…maybe more than one Growlithe. Maybe more like four watchful fire-dogs and an Arcanine. Not to mention the ranchers themselves. But come on, Rockets, get moving and don’t fail to rustle at least one Pokemon or it’ll be the most tedious Grunt-work Admin Richard can think of for a month! Net him…I mean yourselves that sweet sweet promotion!
Area description:
The ranch is sprawling, and the plan is to go in, you guessed it, under cover of night when the sun-loving Growlithe might be a little more drowsy and the owners will be pre-occupied taking care of whatever guests are staying at the ranch. The Rockets will be heading towards the pastures and, for overachievers, the barn itself, where the real blue-ribbon Pokemon are kept safe and secure under the care of that Arcanine. The main pasture has a mix of all kinds of herds, while the smaller one with a higher fence holds mothers looking after their growing foals and calves. It’s summer, so there aren’t any more true babies, but those remaining younger Pokemon are still a prize, touted as young and impressionable for the Team to train itself into strong, loyal fighters. The ranch-house is right next to the barn, lights on inside, and visible in the windows is what looks like a gaggle of traveling trainers, having a great time in there. Light is also coming from the gentle, flickering flames of the farm’s relatively small Rapidash and Ponyta herd.
Now, not even Admin Richard is ready to send out a bunch of people on foot to round up large livestock like Tauros and Mudsdale, so all Rockets will be given a Blitzle or Mudsdale of their own to ride, with a few Mightyena and Houndoom running alongside to help herd. Anyone protesting that they aren’t able to ride will be told to either suck it up or get ready for the much more dangerous jobs of either sneaking in first to try and get a Hypnosis or Sleep Powder aimed at the guard Growlithe, or standing by to push big, panicked Pokemon into waiting trailers.
NPCs:
Rockets: There’s about twenty Grunts, both on horses and waiting in the wings to help load up. Admin Richard is there, of course, but is hanging back to “supervise”. For anyone going in to put the Growlithe or Arcanine to sleep, they will only be accompanied by one or two others at most. Gotta be sneaky, after all!
Non-Rockets: There’s the trained guard Growlithe of course, better hope the advance guard counted right and none got overlooked in the dark…and that big Arcanine outside the barn takes his job VERY seriously. There’s also the matter of the Pokemon—they are mostly BIG and will be plenty ready to aim a kick or headbutt at anyone who gets too close.
Humanwise? If too much of a ruckus is made, which is almost certain by the end, the ranchers will come out with more Growlithe ready to battle. And don’t be fooled by their unevolved looks, because each and every one is an extremely high level and ready to throw down to defend the herds. There are also the regular trainers, who may have an assortment of any Pokemon from the area’s availability lists and one starter each.
But maybe, just maybe, a Player Trainer/Breeder may be present if they were in the area! That’s right, this one is open to interference by any other player character who might have stopped by the ranch, or even happened to be hiking by and noticed the crime in progress.
Pokemon theft: (stars indicate both difficulty and rarity, three stars being very difficult)
Outdoor Pokemon: Miltank, Tauros, Mudbray, Mudsdale**, Ponyta**, Rapidash***, Growlithe****, Arcanine…BAD IDEA, GUARANTEED FAILURE
Ranchers: Growlithe***
NPC Trainers See availability lists for Routes 38 and 39 for star level, as well as: Cyndaquil**, Bulbasaur**, Croconaw***, Charmeleon***, Blastoise****, Meganium****
