Who: ANYONE IN VIRIDIAN!

Summary: Mingle log for everybody in Viridian!

Log:

Summer is well underway, and Viridian City is bustling.

Particularly so, at the moment. A number of traveling groups are all converged on the city at the moment, entirely by happenstance.

Lust has been in the city for a bit of time now, enjoying the library and the forested scenery and leisurely training her newer Pokemon. She plans on taking on the Pewter Gym, when they finally rouse themselves to move on. And with Envy and Heather in town, as well as Boone and his companion arriving...all the more reason to stay.

There's certainly more than enough to do in the city, between the library and the battle clubs and the city's enthusiasm with sports. The library enough would be enough to hold Lust's attention...

Which is why she can often be found there, when not training or relaxing in one of the verdant, shady parks in the city.

[A.] Considering the city they're all in, you can safely find Harry, 9 times out of 10 at the library. Maybe 8 times, he's getting better at this. But either way you can find him looking at books in the library or taking notes at one of the tables. A few of his smaller pokemon might be nearby.

[B] He's left the building. It's a nice day and you can find Harry out on some open with his small troupe of pokemon. There's a new addition that looks like a small seed but she seems to be fitting in with the rest.

[C] And sometimes he's just walking around the city exploring. Why does he have a map he's marking? Is that a local map? ....er it's a habit of his. Lisa the Togekiss is flying behind him.

[D] Anything not here that you want to happen. Discuss with me!

[Boone is fairly easy to spot thanks to his red beret and the huge Drapion at his side. He still refuses to travel without Pointy walking with him, so wherever he is the pokemon goes with him.

He can be found training his pokemon, or just lounging with them and letting them enjoy the sunshine. Considering he has two Gyarados with him, he stands out a lot. A Tyrunt snaps playfully at Pointy, with a tired-looking Boone having to break them apart every so often when the former gets too rowdy. His Ampharos sits happily with a Joltik attached to it. The Gyarados are draped over each other. Aside from Boone having to run around after Tyrunt to make sure it doesn't get too boisterous, it's a relaxing day. He wouldn't mind some company, though.]

[Boone is very easy to spot in the verdant park, which is why it doesn't take Lust long to find him in the city. Instead of her houndoom and her spheal, she's accompanied by three bowed and be-ribboned small Espurr, all in harnesses that match the color of their bows. All three have the classic dead seeming gaze of their species.]

Mr. Boone!

[She waves when she sees him, calling out so as not to startle him. Boone is of the class of men it's never a good idea to surprise or come up upon unawares.]

_{[So they'd definitely already discussed meeting up as soon as they'd realized they were in the same city. That conversation happened.]

[But Harry Mason's daughter is an asshole.]

[So instead of just telling them her room number or setting up a time to meet like a normal person, she instead found out he was at the library and decided to pay him a visit.]

[She is currently walking VERY QUIETLY up behind him with a drink-tray of Sawsbucks in one hand and the other one clawed up to playfully flick the back of his head if she can get close enough undetected.]}

_{[It's hard to stay indoors in Viridian City-- and given what she's here for, Heather and her Pokemon have been spending more time outside training than not.]

[Right this second they're taking a break on a nearby bench, though. Or at least, Heather's taking a break.]

[The Growlithe and two Houndooms that she had with her are engaging in a very noisy and dramatic wrestling match.]}

--HEY you morons, can you cool it for five seconds? You're not even going to be doing the Gym this time. I'm not a Fire-type, I can't keep up in this heat.

_{[Which is only slightly a lie, but she really WOULD rather be chugging an ice-cold water bottle than dealing with the rambunctious canines right now, so she flops.]

[And looks over at Boone's luxuriously-sprawled Gyarados (gyaradi?).]}

See those guys?

That's where it's at.

[Considering he's less jumpy, somewhat, here then back home and apparently engrossed in taking notes. This might be it Heather. The time you managed to sneak up on your dad and....and....]

[Remember the mention of some of the smaller pokemon being around?]

[Echo the Phanpy is suddenly making a noise and running over to say hello.]

[Which causes Harry to start and look behind him.....and chuckle.]

I wasn't aware it was ninja season at the moment.

[Harry has probably seen Boone talking to Lust a few times they crossed paths in their travels. And heard about him. Harry might be getting better but he still tends to stick to himself for the most part, or the few people he knows well enough so they probably haven't talked much if at all.]

[Harry will be walking out in the sun with a giant fluff owl (aka: togekiss.) flying by him as he walks by.]

Enjoying the weather?

[He's getting somewhat better at this social thing.]

[Boone looks up from where he's wrangling the Tyrunt, and nods.]

Yeah, it's nice. Think my pokemon like it, too. Ow-

[The Tyrunt nips at his hand playfully and then runs back to Pointy. What a little shit. He straightens up, giving Harry a closer look.]

You're Harry, right?

[Boone has given up on getting his Tyrunt to behave itself, just as long as it's not bothering other people. He's sat relaxing with his back propped up against one of the Gyarados, arms folded behind his head, one eye on said Tyrunt but otherwise he's just chilling out. He sees the pokemon wrestling nearby though, and nods to Heather.]

Looks like you've got a handful there, huh.

[Well, those are some creepy pokemon in bows. Boone gives them all a raised eyebrow before lifting his gaze up to Lust and waving.]

Hey.

[He's leaning against his Gyarados again, patting Drapion's head as he's sitting near enough to do so. He looks very comfortable with all of his pokemon surrounding him.]

No Guttle today, huh?

[He nods and indicates the pokemon next to him.]

Harry Mason, that's me. And this is Lisa.

[Lisa makes a hooing noise of hello.]

Lust mentioned you. You're Boone, right?

[Boone raises a hand in greeting to the pokemon beside Harry. It seems like pokemon can understand these things, so he doesn't feel all that silly doing it.]

Yeah, I'm Boone. And that was Arcade. And, uh... we've got Cassidy, Scuttle, Splash, Swim Shady, and Pointy.

[He points to the Ampharos and the Joltik, the two Gyarados, and then the Drapion. Pointy waves his huge claws happily in greeting.]

Lust mentioned me?

[Also why Harry waves to the group of pokemon Boone has.]

Yeah, I think we crossed paths in our travels a little while back. She's the more social member of our travel group.

[He's getting better. Before pokemon world, he never would have come up and started a conversation with someone he only knew by name. Mostly because paranoia but also, years of social hermit-ing make socializing hard.]

No, he gets a bit too excitable and upsets the babies. He's back at the hotel room.

[She'd had to leave the Espurr behind with Edward, but she'd had him bring them to her. It had been too long. The boys were still distressed over losing Timothy - though weren't they all.]

[The huddle around Lust's ankles as the little group approaches, staring directly at Boone.]

You certainly look well at ease. Enjoying Viridian so far?

_{[--GOSH DARNIT.]

[Heather laughs, sets the drinks down on the nearest table, and bends down to ruffle Echo's ears.]}

Ugh, betrayed by my own gift... I never should have been nice...

_{[But now she'll step over for real to give Harry a one-armed hug around the neck.]}

Figured you'd be here, broughtcha some iced tea.

Did you miss me?

More like an armful.

Or two.

_{[The Growlithe has wound up on his back, but the wild doggy grin and furiously wagging tail makes it clear that he's more than happy for the opportunity to thrash around on the ground like an idiot.]}

If I let them do this in the hotel room, stuff gets broken.

But outside in the sun, they get ten times rowdier.

A true dilemma.

[Sure would be nice if those things would stop staring at him, but he doesn't want to offend Lust by telling her the "babies" are creepy as all hell so he just deals with it.]

It's a nice city. The pokemon seem to like it a lot too, even Swim Shady.

[He jerks his thumb over at one of the resting Gyarados, the one that looks significantly more pissed off than Splash.]

The city's always pleasant in summer, with the copious amounts of shade. And it's on the quiet side, despite the battle clubs.

[They seemed well contained, the city itself a pleasant and relaxed one. The dominating library has something to do with that, she's sure.]

And there is a picture show theater here.

Yeah. It's... peaceful. Not used to that kinda thing, but it's nice.

[He arches an eyebrow, intrigued.]

Maybe I should've explored a little more, I didn't know that. I'll have to check it out.

It gives you a chance to enjoy some peace and quiet. God knows we all need that sometimes.

[Even here. This world has its stresses and upsets and crises, they were simply...less than what Lust was used to.]

You can usually find one in every town, tucked away somewhere. I can take you, if you'd like, some time while we're here.

Sure, I'll go with you.

[He seems pleased by the prospect of watching a movie.]

Can you take pokemon?

[He'd like to bring Pointy, ideally. He doesn't go anywhere without his giant hellscorpion now.]

Oh you can take Pokemon everywhere, here. It's practically expected.

[They're everywhere, and life revolves around them. Trainers took at least their starters everywhere with them.]

Some of mine quite like movies, actually. I still can't believe you haven't seen any television. It was one of the first things my brother showed me, here.

Haven't really had anyone to show me things here.

[At least, nobody besides Lust.]

Guess we'll see if Pointy likes movies, huh?

Well, I can show you plenty of things while we're here. Including the movies. Have you had popcorn?

[As they're chatting, Lust joins him properly, settling in on the grass. The trio of Espurrs are on her immediately, swarming over her lap.]

[They're still staring at Boone.]

No, never had it.

[Pointy sees the Espurrs on Lust's lap and starts trying to shuffle his way onto Boone's, which doesn't work because he's not a small scorpion anymore. Boone shifts where he is, holding an arm up to block the Drapion.]

Pointy, goddammit, come on. You're too big. Sit here.

[He pats the ground next to him.]
