Mingle Log For Viridian
Who: ANYONE IN VIRIDIAN!
Where: Viridian!
When: First part of July
Summary: Mingle log for everybody in Viridian!
Rating: Possibly PG-13 for potential language
Log:
Summer is well underway, and Viridian City is bustling.
Particularly so, at the moment. A number of traveling groups are all converged on the city at the moment, entirely by happenstance.
Lust has been in the city for a bit of time now, enjoying the library and the forested scenery and leisurely training her newer Pokemon. She plans on taking on the Pewter Gym, when they finally rouse themselves to move on. And with Envy and Heather in town, as well as Boone and his companion arriving...all the more reason to stay.
There's certainly more than enough to do in the city, between the library and the battle clubs and the city's enthusiasm with sports. The library enough would be enough to hold Lust's attention...
Which is why she can often be found there, when not training or relaxing in one of the verdant, shady parks in the city.
(OOC: Mingle log, so feel free to post your own starters and tag among one another!)

Sometimes she reminds me of you. She can philosophize the rest of us under a table.
[She picks up one of the straws and tears the wrapper off, poking it into her own drink.]
I know I keep saying it, but I'm really glad you're getting to go see stuff at your own pace instead of having to get dragged around after me.
'Cuz you know you wouldn't get all this unfettered library time with me running around in the lead.
no subject
[He chuckles.]
I know. And despite me saying I didn't mind it, which I didn't. It is interesting to see more of this world. Especially since more apparently appeared while I was gone.
[He'll take his own drink.]
But yes, library time with you worked much better when you were younger and could be distracted by toy blocks much easier.
no subject
[There had even been that one weekend they'd all gotten flown out to that place that was BASICALLY PARIS for New Year's Eve. They hadn't been allowed back into Kalos since then, of course, but it was pretty cool.]
Eventually I just got too powerful for the toy blocks.
I could not be contained.
no subject
[Even for this place.]
They were no match for you. Neither were the dolls. Or any of the other toys.
no subject
Now here I am wrestling crocodiles and riding unicorns.
Probably not the career you envisioned for me, but probably the one we should have expected.
[It's so fucking nice to talk about this place as though it's the world they were always meant to be in.]
[As if Silent Hill had just been a gruesome accident that they'd emerged from safely.]
no subject
No, I'm pretty sure I could see a future where you were wrestling crocodiles. The riding unicorns less so, but only because they didn't exist.
Now if you had become an accountant, that seems more implausible.
no subject
Like I'd wanna become an accountant anyway. You know I always sucked at math.
no subject
Yup, if you did. I'd have to start looking for the pod the aliens replaced you with. Giant warning sign.
no subject
Wouldn't be the weirdest thing that's happened to us.
But yeah-- honestly back in high school, I didn't know what the hell I wanted to do. Thought about fashion design for a bit.
But never anything like this.
And I think this is better than anything I'd have done back there. Even when it's frustrating or I eat dirt falling off of Carousel or get my butt kicked by another trainer.
no subject
It helps that even if you wanted to, you probably could still do something like fashion design here. I mean, I can still write here. There's just a lot more options then before.
And it suits you.
[So yeah, a lot better then the world where he's dead, and there was always the chance that the cult was still around in some way to try and drag Heather back into that endless nightmare.]
no subject
[She doesn't think she's cut out for fashion at this point, not anymore-- but that's okay. Dreams change. Even just from when she first got here.]
Either way... it's always good to know I've got that Dad Approval.
[She leans back in her chair.]
Speaking of writing, have you been doin' any?
I know Hazel basically commandeered your laptop, but we can totally get you another one if you need it-- I make, like, way more money now than I did back then.
no subject
I have actually. Just notebooks so far. I've been thinking of getting another laptop actually.
But you should keep your money. You are travelling a lot these days and I've been writing without a computer for years.
no subject
Haha, all right, all right. If you insist.
But the offer's there!
