So I've been prepping to deal with Morty's team and I've never battled ghost Pokemon before. I have a ghost on my team, Mimikyu and all, but I've never actually fought one before. So any tips, strategies? Stock up on paralyze heal and poison heal I'd imagine but that's about all I can think about...
Anything else comes to mind? I'm challenging at the Elite as usual. I've got a fire on my team but I don't recall if there's a type advantage there.

I haven't challenged Morty's Elite team myself, so I don't know what pokemon he has exactly, but what is the team you'll be bringing into the gym with you?
Re: Video;
Currently I have a Golem, Mimikyu, Raichu, Rapidash, Ampharos and Magneton.

[There is an impressed note in his voice. Combining both a love for a particular type and a willingness to be strategic. Good job.]
I think, apart from Sandygast and Golett and their evolutions, there aren't any other ghost pokemon that are immune to electric attacks, so that will be an advantage for you. Is your Raichu a regular variant or an Alolan one? Having a Psychic-type with you could be a huge asset. Even if they are not particularly vulnerable to it, being able to confuse your opponents might help you out a lot.

Though I might be preaching to the choir here, seeing as you are the electric expert.

There isn't with fire. Ghost types tend to be weak against other ghosts or dark type pokemon. So your Mimikyu will probably help.
Do you know what ghost pokemon you'll be fighting?
Re: Video
You know, I'd like to engage with no forewarning other than "Ghost."

Then yeah, having a mix but maybe leave out the ones that ghosts are strong against is probably a good plan. Just in case a few of them are double types.
Re: Video
That's true. Most of my team are double-types as well, coming from the Sevii Islands and what not.

What ones do you think you’ll use in the gym battle?

[What else, what else...]
I know his weaker team uses the Gengar and Misdreavus lines; I doubt he fully abandons them during Elite matches, but I expect the others to hide even nastier tricks than usual.
Re: [video]
I should probably try to use confusion then as much as possible, and swap out between matches to conserve Pikachu then.

For example, his Gengar is part Poison, so while using a Psychic type Pokemon isn't the best strategy, having one that knows a Psychic move would be very helpful.

If you have a Normal type with a varied moveset that would help too.

and I don't have a Normal, but my Golem would probably work out since he's an Alolan.
