It would seem I've been derailed from my original journey to a new world, landing here instead. My name is Hope Estheim, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could let me know if others who were with me are here as well.

That being said, I was made aware of a Met-...sorry, I mean, Minior shower and are best seen at the observatory on Sevii Islands. If I can make it, even for a little bit, I would like that very much. I understand it is in the Kanto region but I'm unsure what the best and fastest way to travel once I take the ferry from here.

If you could kindly give me directions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

[He sounds like he's addressing a large crowd, making some sort of speech. Something he has done in the past when he actually looked his age, so it may sound odd now coming from a child. I've been in this world for two years now, but I can't say any of those names are familiar, sorry. If they've ever been here, it must have been before my time.

[Those names stand out enough that Armin thinks he'd be able to recognise them if he had ever seen them.]

As for the Minior Shower -- Assuming you've just arrived, you are probably on the ferry to Pallet Town. From there, the quickest way to get here on the Sevii Islands is to first take another ferry from Pallet Town to Fuchsia City. It's the ferry that takes you past the Cinnabar Islands. Then from Fuchsia, you'd have to go on foot to Olivine City and take another ferry to the Sevii Islands.

[Armin spent a lot of time studying the map of Kanto while plotting his route this summer, so it isn't too hard to dredge this up from memory. The fact that he has the big map he got from Nephelis carefully pinned to his wall helps.]

Though, I'm afraid that probably won't get you here in time for the Minior showers.

[Well. That was kind of heartbreaking for him to hear and he looks down, eyes shining a bit as he struggles with the notion that he may not go home anytime soon after all.

But then, he's receiving information about the Minior Shower and he lets it distract him from his other thoughts for now.]

I was afraid of that, but if it works like meteor showers, there is a chance that they would be visible at quite a distance. I would still like to make the journey there, though. I would simply need to hurry.

This might not be the most helpful, it is hard to predict how long you'll be here for. People are not in control of when they get to go home, and some end up staying in this world for years while others leave again pretty quickly. As far as I know, nobody has been able to discern a pattern. So, the fact that I have been here for two years doesn't necessarily mean you'll be here that long as well.

Welcome to this world, Hope. You've missed Lightning by many years, I'm sorry to say. A few more of those names are also familiar, but their stays were even earlier from what I recall.

The ferry for the Sevii Islands departs from Vermillion. If you'd like, I could pick you up on my way there once you arrive in Pallet or Viridian. I was planning to go on Friday, and I have plenty of Flying-types who are used to riders.

[Lightning was here? Then, perhaps, there is a way home. Hope couldn't be sure though, and he wasn't sure he could take it if that small bit of hope was snatched away.]

That might be best as the ferry to Kanto has taken a large portion of what given to me.

[2000P of the 3000P he was given. He had already planned to get some sort of job to replenish but that would have added more time. He had been hasty.]

My stop will be in Viridian. If you're sure you're okay with taking me to the islands, it would be greatly appreciated. I don't think I have enough for another ferry trip.

Taking you along is no trouble. I've already visited every city in this world; I can simply use the warp pads to reach Viridian, though we'll not be able to return to Vermillion that way. This world much prefers being discovered on foot first.

[Which is a fine thought, except in these cases.]

Ah, yes, travelling between regions can be rather expensive for a new arrival. I'd recommend finding work in a Pokémon Center or a major Department Store. They pay better than the Pokémarts.

Yes, it is. I hope I can make it, but there's a chance I can see it even if I don't make it to the islands.

Most the time I'd say they're visible across a hemisphere, but I don't know if that logic holds on this world. Not when it sounds like the rock falling happens to be living creatures that also happen to not incinerate coming down to earth.

I was going to offer to come give you a ride to the islands but it looks like Cecil beat me to it. The Minior Shower is going to be pretty awesome from what Matt's been saying so it'll be a hell of a "Welcome to the Pokemon World!" for you.

It's alright and thank you for the offer nonetheless. It's admittedly serving as a distraction, I don't exactly know what I'll do once it's over.

[It'll also be the first time he was truly without any of his companions. He always had someone with him. Whether it was while he was a l'Cie, a Director, or stuck in the Ark.]

How does one figure out how to move forward when they've been stuck in the present, maybe even the past, for so long?

There's a lot to do here so you'll find something, don't worry about that. Pretty much anything you could possibly be interested in you can find something that caters to it in this place. And there's just a lot to explore.

[And man if that next bit doesn't hit a few things with him as well. Noct's steps slow and the Pokemon behind him stops when he does, Kitty the Tryannitar leaning down to peer at the 'gear and her trainer in confusion as the prince looks thoughtful.]

...It's not easy but the best advice I can give on that is to just not let yourself get weighed down. Let yourself take steps forward and try new things because otherwise you're just going to let everything else consume you and trust me when I say that doesn't end well for anyone. The Pokemon partner you woke up with is a good starting point. They'll help you find your footing and get settled in the world. Don't be afraid to take a chance or two.

But for wherever it was you were going before, you should know that you're okay here, and time should stop at home. So, once you leave this place, you'll be back on track, and it will be like you were never gone, so don't worry too much about it. As for the Sevii Islands, I think that ferry leaves from Vermillion City?

Sorry to say you're probably going to end up being late to everywhere for a while. It was a three-day walk to get to somewhere decent when I showed up. Ended up staying there a little while, too, because we needed to earn some money.

Suddenly being stuck in a new location is not new for me, but I suppose being without people I know is. [He bites his lip.] But I appreciate the help that's been provided thus far. I'm very fortunate.

No idea who any of those guys are- sorry, dude. But I haven't exactly been here that long, so ask around. Apparently some people've been here for like, a decade. Plus, there's always the chance that they'll just show up later now that you're here? This place seems to like dragging in multiple people from the same world. Hasn't happened to me, but I've seen it happen a lot already.

Haven't been to Kanto, yet, either. I'm kinda interested in the Minior shower, but I'm still debating if I wanna go or not. It's pretty out of the way for someone who still can't fast travel most places.

[How to put this is... it was a very long story. He tilted his head in thought.]

Well, to put as succinctly as possible, on my world my friends and I battled God. Bhunivelze. He was supposed to help save humanity with the savior, but she turned on him when she realized that he was merely going to enslave the souls of humanity. We defeated him and the new world that God had created was essentially ours for the taking once more.

I was to be reborn on this new world, but instead, I wound up here.

[He left out the part about the timeline collapsing and how he was actually an adult but was regressed physically and that he's actually over a thousand years old because of all this. His story was complicated enough as it was and Boone was a stranger to him.]
