It would seem I've been derailed from my original journey to a new world, landing here instead. My name is Hope Estheim, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could let me know if others who were with me are here as well.

That being said, I was made aware of a Met-...sorry, I mean, Minior shower and are best seen at the observatory on Sevii Islands. If I can make it, even for a little bit, I would like that very much. I understand it is in the Kanto region but I'm unsure what the best and fastest way to travel once I take the ferry from here.

If you could kindly give me directions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

This might not be the most helpful, it is hard to predict how long you'll be here for. People are not in control of when they get to go home, and some end up staying in this world for years while others leave again pretty quickly. As far as I know, nobody has been able to discern a pattern. So, the fact that I have been here for two years doesn't necessarily mean you'll be here that long as well.

I cannot guarantee anything, but I have a friend who might be around Pallet town. He might be able to give you a lift. I could ask him if you wanted.

My friend owns a mobile coffee shop. I'm not sure what route he had planned exactly, but I could ask if he is anywhere near to where you are.

That's right. I'm not sure exactly how it works [crazy gravity falls technology. Which... is probably like regular technology except with beard control.] but it used to be an old train car. He fixed it up with some help.

I'll definitely have to see it one day, but it appears someone will be picking me up in Viridian and helping me fly to the islands. But this world is something I want to explore during my time here, I will certainly need to see this.

I'm not sure what the world is like where you are from, but there are a lot of amazing sights to see here. It's really an incredible place.

Every world, I think, has amazing sights in their own way. But I'll do my best to check this place out while I'm here.

I suspect you are right. I've only ever been able to explore this world though.

I was fortunate enough to explore a second world prior to this. So I can certainly appreciate the need to explore this world as well.

A second world? You mean, you were able to leave your own homeworld?

Yes, but likely not in the way you think. My planet is called Gran Pulse and it's very, very large. However, above it was another called Cocoon. It was probably the size of your average moon, I suppose? But it didn't orbit Gran Pulse, it was floating within the atmosphere.

Eventually, Cocoon fell and it's inhabitants had to live on Gran Pulse, so it took a lot of exploring and research to get civilization going again as the original inhabitants had all been wiped out.

It fell? Just like that? Was there something that caused it to fall?

[He should have expected that question, but somehow, he did not. Was it due to how long ago it happened? Perhaps. He was silent for a moment, contemplating, lips pursed.]

Yes, something caused it to fall. It's a very long story.

[Armin notices the moment of silence and decides to leave the subject of why it fell for now. That sort of pause before answering usually means a more personal relationship to the story shared. Perhaps Hope had lost someone close to him when it had fallen. At least, Armin can't imagine something the size of the moon falling down on earth without a lot of casualties. And considering he has only just met this person, he certainly doesn't want to prod at anything too personal.]

So, you were able to explore both Grand Pulse and Cocoon?

[He hummed a yes.]

I was born on Cocoon. I was fourteen when it fell, after that it was all Gran Pulse. It was very different from Cocoon, but we all made it work.

[He offered a smile.]

It all worked out in the end. [Sort of]
