[The video turns on the reveal a glowing egg smack in the middle of Viridian. It's at an angle that indicates the user is on the ground, not that it seems to matter because once the egg finishes it's glow, it reveals an Onix.

[And that long, nearly 30ft rock snake was leaning in to the camera and Hope. Hello, world! It rumbles a bit and then quite suddenly, Hope is dropping the 'Gear is the massive rock head is snuggling him and, now seen from the ground, lifting him right into the air! Hope clings a bit to the ridge on top while Minccino is yelling at it to clearly put their trainer down!]

O-Onix, please! I don't think now is the time for this!

[Someone help Hope get down from the affectionate Onix? Its tail is rubbing at Hope's back, yup, very affectionate. Also, ow, that kind of hurt.]

Perhaps he's simply the affectionate type. What are you going to name him?

Naming them is kind of new for me, I've just been shortening their actual names for now. If he likes it, I'll keep it or I'll think of something else.

Naming is rather new for me, too. I called my Onix Rocky.

[Rocky makes a rumbling sound at hearing his name, and Connor pats the nearest segment of rock making up his body.]

Perhaps they can play together sometime.

[It's hard for Onix to play with Connor's other pokemon when he's so big.]

That would actually be pretty nice. I'm sure they'd enjoy that.
