Video
Good evening Johto, Kanto, and the Sevii Islands.
[The video feed is focused on Lust, in front of a nondescript wall. She's looking a bit...different in this broadcast - wearing an old fashioned white button up blouse and a fashionable pair of glasses, with her hair pinned up on top of her head.]
[She's in her Miss Fitz persona.]
[Occasionally, throughout the broadcast, a large eyed Ekans' head wanders into frame before being hauled off by an unseen helper.]
The month of Halloween has come again, and that means it's getting to be time for Miss Fitz's Story Hour to put out our spooktacular radio special. I'm delighted to announce that this year's production is an entirely original anthology written by myself - Miss Fitz - and my new partner, Mr. Ease.
[Because Lust isn't one to abandon a clever theme.]
If you're new to our community, I produce a radio show over this network. While we're an amateur production, we've been making shows for a few years now and put a great deal into every production. But we need you. If you've any interest in volunteering your time, please contact me. We especially need anyone willing to lend their voice as acting talent. And I use the word 'volunteer' on purpose, there's no profit being made here, we simply enjoy what we do.
I hope to hear from you...and that you'll be waiting to hear what we have in store.

Does the background music get recorded too?
[He's still confused about how anyone could record anything without regional noises. He knows it's possible or at least there's technology that can remove it (maybe???) but he just does not get this magic fucking background music bullshit.]

Ah...your name, by the way?
It does, but it's easy enough to minimize and lay my own music and sound effects over. I have an entire box of record albums that are only sound effects.

I'm Hank Anderson. Though not really as good a stage name as Miss Fitz or Mr. Ease.

You're a jazz fan? Have you spent much time in Azalea? They have wonderful jazz clubs.
A pleasure. Thank you, I'm rather proud of those both. My real name is Lust.

[He doesn't really have a record player at the moment, but maybe he'll be in a place eventually where he has access to one. It's almost for nostalgia that he wants something that's his to hold onto while he's here.]
You know, 'Lust' is a hell of a name, too. Looks like you lucked out in first impressions.

Mmm. It's...something of a family name. My brother is Envy.

It's good rhyming name. It sucks to have one of those as a kid but it's great as an adult. [You can come up with your own self-disparaging drunk limericks or song lyrics.]

Ah. You're still relatively new, aren't you? In this place, among us who have been brought here, it's not always wise to assume someone was human or led a conventional human life beforehand.

So this radio show you do, what's your usual audience? Kids? Adults? Get a variety? I'm wondering because I've tried to put a little more effort into making sure the kids traveling between towns stay safe.
no subject
A variety, so I like to consider us 'family friendly'. Nothing too frightening or upsetting, but nothing aimed directly at children either. Though this is a surprisingly safe world for children, even younger ones.

[He's already had the thought that, if Cole ended up anywhere after he died, he hopes it was somewhere like this. Where he doesn't have to worry too much about him.]
My general line of thinking is that it's getting later in the year and colder out, and it'd be nice to eventually give them a reminder that they can go to a Pokecenter for some help if they need to.

[Of course Wrath isn't an average child, but still. Lust doesn't worry about him much when he's on his own - and he's never entirely on his own, he has his Pokemon.]
If there's one thing I know about children, they don't need much urging to find somewhere warm and comfortable that will feed them. And plenty of us do what we can.

[He's been training his dogs as rescue pokemon just because of the local stories.]
It was just a thought.

But then it seems madness to plenty of people here to give a fussy child alcohol to calm them. Different worlds.
no subject
Even if the problem is slight compared to home.
But yeah, that's not really a method of calming a kid down I'd prescribe. [That's more one for himself.]

It works.

It might work, but it's not worth it. But like you said. I don't know if alcohol has the same effect on people where you're from. Where I'm from, though, it fucks you up if your brain's still developing. [Fucks you up if you're an adult too but there are whole thoughts there he's trying to skirt around.]
