Audio (Backdated to the 9th)/ Log
Now that things have settled once more - as much as they ever do - I'd like to invite all of those friendly with myself or my brother Envy to join us in Goldenrod this Sunday for a celebratory gathering.
I'm finally throwing a birthday party. For both of us, as despite Envy's having passed, they're close enough in time and god knows we deserve something to celebrate.
I've rented out the largest bar in the city for Sunday evening. Usual celebratory activities will be involved, I assume. I've never thrown a party like this before, I've taken most of my cues from what Envy and I enjoy and what I've seen on television.
Any troublemakers will be swiftly and combustively removed with prejudice.
We hope to see you there.
[And true to promise, Lust has rented out the largest bar in Goldenrod to host this party. It's decorated heavily in dark colors, red and black being predominant, and the music is an eclectic mix of loud rock, cabaret jazz, and eerie experimental music.]
[There are also classic party games set up. Pin the Tail on the Mudbray, what appear to be donuts have been hung from strings in one corner, there's a Koffing shaped pinata over the dance floor. There are red and black and dark purple balloons, some displayed in proper party fashion and some in a barrel waiting for a game of Burst the Balloon. In the far back, what looks like a cardboard cutout of a Pyroar's head with a hole through the mouth is set up - with a box of small balls nearby. Hand written signs promise a bouncy house out back. There is indeed a bounce house. It's Dark Type themed. There may be random local children inside of it in the early hours of the party.]
[While the games seem designed for children, Lust feels they'll be highly entertaining to play once everyone has a few drinks in them. Besides, this party is for her and Envy, and getting tipsy and playing silly games is very appropriate.]
[There are even small giftbags in black and red, containing a variety of small Pokemon-themed items - keychains, wind up toys, candy - and at least one inexpensive healing item. There should be enough for everyone attending to take one home, no matter how many friends and acquaintances show up.]
(OOC: This serves as an announcement post AND mingle log for the party!)

Anyone who stands close enough will get a nod of acknowledgement from Boone, at least.]
Hell of a party, huh?
[And if Lust or Envy approach, they get a different greeting.]
Hey, happy birthday.
[Lust will even get a smile.]
no subject
[She knows parties and big social outings aren't Boone's idea of a good time - she knows he's there for her. She appreciates it.]
Thank you. And thank you for coming.
[After a moment, rather deliberately, she lays a hand on Boone's forearm. It's a simple gesture, hardly intimate, but in here among her family and closest of friends...it's meaningful. They haven't discussed it again since last month, but Lust's never been one for discussing things. He came to her party, she's publicly displaying physical affection. They have their own ways of making things known.]
no subject
No problem.
[He gestures towards her, a little flustered but doing a good job of hiding it.]
You look nice.
[Boone is just wearing black jeans and a thick purple sweater that matches Pointy but clashes horribly with his beret. Fashion is not his strong suit.]
no subject
[It's the most polite thing Lust can think of to say, considering Boone's fashion choices. She keeps her hand on his arm, standing beside him. It just happened, again. Feelings and connections...]
[By now, she's done worrying and feeling guilty over it. Besides, Boone understands. He's been through the same.]
As do you, Pointy. I've no idea how many people are going to show up, but there's drinks and food enough to cover an army.
no subject
I look like hell, but that's fine with me as long as I'm warm. I liked the red sweater, but Pointy seemed pretty set on me getting the purple one. Nothing like having a giant scorpion pressing a sweater into your face until you agree to buy it.
[Pointy roars and waves his claws happily.]
But... yeah. You went all out on this. Think it paid off, people look like they're enjoying themselves.
[He doesn't protest the hand on his arm. He seems quietly pleased with it now, actually.]
no subject
[At least Boone's very together as far as personal grooming - no unfortunate hairstyling or ridiculous facial hair. Simply poor choice in sweaters, which is keeping in tradition she supposes.]
[She beams under the compliment, though. She's never thrown a party, she researched all of this extensively. By watching a great deal of television.]
Did you know that neither Envy nor I have ever had a traditional birthday party before? I thought it was high time. I tried to ensure every traditional party game is on hand, but I may have missed some.
no subject
Never really celebrated my birthdays. Probably won't this year, either.
[He shrugs.]
Can't really see that you've missed anything, though. Seems like a lot of fun.
no subject
[Lust wouldn't be surprised. Who has time for that when they're struggling for survival among terrible monsters and radiation?]
When is it, anyway? I only learned mine when I came here.
no subject
[Sometimes there are even party hats!]
Oh, it's uh... a few days, actually. 16th.
