[Today someone is filming a smug-looking Croconaw. In front of the Croconaw is a pile of fruit. The camera is rolling for only a few seconds before the 'mon picks up...a pineapple. It poses with the prickly fruit above its head for a dramatic moment, before opening its huge mouth and dropping it in.

When it chomps down the spiky tuft of leaves is bit clean off and falls to the ground. The Pokemon crunches loudly a few times before swallowing, and that's the end of the pineapple.]

Nice! What's next?

[Heeeey, the voice behind the camera sounds like Ya Boi, Krieg. Where's that asshole been lately, anyway?

Lockjaw picks up the next fruit - a large watermelon - and repeats the dramatic pose-and-chomp. This time is much messier, because the watermelon is much bigger than the pineapple, but it gets chomped in two with the power of those massive Croconaw jaws. Just like the pineapple, it is then completely consumed.]

Mnahahaha! Hell yeah!

[That is the voice of one very proud trainer.

Lockjaw is clearly very pleased by this, and picks up a third fruit which is not...immediately...identifiable. It's red, and round, and it looks a little...soft?]

…What's that?

[At the sound of Krieg's voice, the "fruit" shifts visibly in the Croconaw's stumpy arms as it's held aloft over the gaping maw, and reveals two yellow, feathery eyebrows and a mismatched pair of eyes. A split second later the recording stutters abruptly as the 'Gear is (presumably) flung away with a very loud, very alarmed shout from Krieg.]

[Armin had been enjoying the display of Croconaw chomping (it reminds him of Farida) but that was no fruit! That was a space station sweet, good boy.]

[Said Croconaw actually peeks into view from behind one of Krieg's shoulder - It's true! Dolly is a Good Friend, and Not For Eating.]

I dunno why Dolly was napping in the fruit.

[Yes, yes, this is an enjoyable video. Watching people and Pokemon enjoy food is one of Sasha's favorite pastimes. However, the entertainment only lasts but for so long before she recognizes those eyebrows and mismatched eyes for something that is decidedly not food.]

Dolly did not get eaten!

[It took him a couple of minutes to get everything back in order...Krieg's got Lockjaw soothed and back to nomming down on the rest of his real fruit, Dolly securely in his lap. He's even focused the 'Gear on Dolly, so that it's Dolly's face that Sasha sees when he replies.

Dolly blinks peacefully and does not give any indication that he has any awareness of his very close brush with death.]

[Sure, she believes her meat uncle when he says Dolly is fine and seeing him actually confirms that, but it's only kind and polite to actually ask the Pokemon himself.]

What were you doing in the food?

[Dolly blinks again, and scratches at his belly for a bit before tipping backwards in his secure spot on Krieg's lap to look up at Krieg.]

It was napping. I think it liked the watermelon?

[The long-gone watermelon. He'll have to get another one. Maybe a smaller one, closer to Dolly's size.]

[ It's the shout as much as seeing the pokemon about to be chomped by the croconaw that has her hitting reply without shifting settings to text, as she generally prefers. ]

Krieg! What happened?

[When he replies, it's Dolly's one-eyed face on the screen, instead of Krieg's.]

A mistake! The Lockjaw Croc ate a coconut instead and the Zen Doll is fine!

[ She breathes out in a sigh of relief, though the visual field is filled with a hoothoot's face: Arlert, having just landed on Annie's shoulder. Flying hair and beating wings accompany the sudden landing, Arlert hooting out her relief. ]

... Glad to hear it. So is Arlert, and Lute, though he's not trying to climb me to verify Zen Doll's condition.

[ The dry tone of a woman who literally cannot see right now because a bird has rendered it impossible. ]

[Arlert is a good owl friend, and she's doing an amazing job.

Annie is also a good friend, even though she can't currently be seen through the windswept hair and beating wings.]

[Instead of Krieg's one-eyed face, Shiro is treated to a video closeup of Zen Doll's.

The Pokémon blinks once but doesn't otherwise react. Does he realize his life had just been in danger and that a lot of people are now worried about him? No one knows.]

[Jean, like everyone else, had been enjoying the show, until Zen Doll got involved. Now he's holding his Pokegear up close to his face, in unconscious imitation of how Krieg holds it close to his eye, waiting to find out what happened.]

Is Dolly okay?

[Archibald sticks his head up from behind Jean's shoulder, chirping in concern. Is the other round red friend okay?]

[Jean breathes a sigh of relief when Dolly blinks; Archibald has a much more bombastic reaction, and shrieks loudly, right in Jean's ear--Dolly is okay! And then Archie is off, bouncing all over the room and shrieking, making Jean wince.]
