[So. That's a Linoone on the feed right now. A ridiculously overweight Linoone who's trying very hard to sleep on this bed here, but he's well aware he's being filmed right now. He wants to ignore it, really, but Komasan's voice can be heard from behind the 'gear. Life's tough.]

Yosh! This is Isamu, zura. [The Linoone tries to roll onto his side, away from the camera.] He's gotten very lazy lately, but now that I own him, I have to make things right, zura!

[The feed then gets obnoxiously close to the Pokemon's face, and Isamu can't help but give a little squeaky groan.]

Isamu is a good Pokemon, he's special, and I've been letting him down by allowing him to sleep all the time, zura! From this point on, we're gonna be training until he's back in battling shape, zura!

[Isamu does absolutely nothing in response to this.]

Ah...but... [Komasan's voice begins to falter.] ...he might need some encouragement, z-zura...

[Action]

[So then, anyone in Goldenrod might spot some weirdo and his round Linoone jogging through the city, the two of them wearing matching black and neon-green...tracksuits. As always, Komasan's Dunsparce rides on his shoulders, and occasionally the group stops for a break and get water downed by his Ludicolo.

It's all just very strange.]

[Ochako's just returned to Goldenrod after a pokemon hunting expedition, so she was planning on taking the day easy. She's out on a walk, her Swablu, Chiru, perched on her head when she spots... wow, she's seen pictures of linoones before but they were usually more... linear. Less... circular.

Well, she'll wave hello as they come her way]

Hey! Out training?

[That...is by far one of the cutest birds Komasan has ever seen. And he's seen a lot of birds. Instinctively, Noko can already sense that her trainer is going to fawn over that Swablu the moment he can, she can see it on his face. That's why when they finally stop, she looks over at her own tiny wings and gives them a good few flaps, as if comparing them to the tiny bird's. Her wings could be fluffy too...if she felt like it.

Isamu appears grateful for the break and immediately flops over, panting just a little. He's lost track of how long they've been doing this now, but as far as he's concerned, it's been enough.]

Monge~!! [Yup, Noko called it, Komasan's attention is immediately on the Swablu.] Y-Yeah, that's right, were you training too, zura?

[It's okay, Ochako thinks Noko's pretty cute too! In her own... weird, drill-snake way. Definitely not winning the fluffiness contest though.]

Actually, I was taking a break... I just spent most of the past few days training and looking for new pokemon! [She gives a big smile though, amused by the way he speaks] Seeing you at it kind of makes me want to jog a bit too though!

[Chiru peeps a few times and nestles more firmly into Ochako's hair - she'll pass on extra training]

[It takes everything in Komasan not to squeal in delight as he watches Chiru make herself more comfortable. If he wasn't in the middle of what he can only describe as a super serious training session, he'd be absolutely all over the place right now.

...Although that still doesn't stop him from getting excited over new Pokemon. Even if they aren't his.]

A-Ah...you're gonna show me, r-right, zura?! You can't just say that and not show me what you found, zura!

[...this kid is way too cute. Maybe even cuter than Yotsuba? Is that possible?]

Of course! Heheh... [She gets a kinda devious look on her face, smug almost] I bet you'll be real impressed!

[She suddenly straightens up, surprising Chiru into taking flight as she starts doing some cool poses - some real fighting stances, some made-up kung fu, then suddenly whips out - a pokeball!]

Ha-whooooaaa!

[And from it springs - a Hawlucha!]

Go, Lucchy!

[Komasan isn't sure what he loves more, the poses or the Pokemon.

...who is he kidding, it's definitely the Pokemon. The fantastic introduction definitely helps, though, and his eyes can't seem to stop sparkling.]

Monge...

[He immediately rushes over to the tiny wrestle bird and practically jumps all around it, getting a good look from every angle, soaking in every little detail. Look at those colors! Those feathers! That weird...mouth-beak thing. Beautiful.]

I've never seen a Pokemon like this before, zura!

[Lucchy is just soaking up the attention, standing proudly, even flexing a bit and showing off his plumage.]

Heheh, yeah, I didn't know there were any like it here either! I had to go all the way up by Ecruteak looking for fighting types and I was about ready to give up when I ran into him. He's really strong!

[Relatively speaking - as high level as any of hers and the only one that's fully evolved]

[And Komasan just eats it up, fawning and gasping with every flex. Maybe it's a good thing he's never found one of his own, he probably wouldn't be able to stop staring at it.]

R-Really? All the way in Ecruteak, huh, zura? ...I'm gonna guess they're rare, because I never saw a single one when I went up there, zura...

[How exciting, a rare Pokemon! She must feel so lucky...]

If he's really, really strong, you should totally fight the gym here, zura!

[And the more he admires, the more Lucchy flexes... it's an endless loop]

I didn't quite get that far, but it was a ways up into Route 37! But yeah, I didn't see any others either.

[She definitely feels lucky, especially considering the only other lead on a fighting type she'd heard was... all the way in the Safari Zone.]

I just might! Though... I hear the leader's here even stronger than the one in Violet City, right? It was a while ago, but I couldn't even put a scratch on that guy...

[Finally Komasan manages to pull his eyes away for two seconds as he mulls that one over. He's never fought Falkner yet, mostly because he's never had a reason to hike back to Violet. He never considered there'd be level differences.]

Not one scratch, zura...?

[Hm.

...And then, an idea. Komasan bursts into all smiles again as he claps his hands together, why didn't he consider this in the first place?]

Well, I'm always training after work, zura. If you're staying in town, you can always train with us, zura! [He then motions to his shoulder snake.] Noko-chan just won a monge~ badge recently, I bet she'll want to help, zura~

[Caught off guard by the sudden proposal, Noko double-takes before lifting her head up and flapping her little wings triumphantly. Oh yeah, sure, she'll totally help. H-Haha, she...she totally knows what she's doing.]

Yeah... I mean, I pretty much ran in and challenged him as soon as I got to Violet City. I was so eager after being pent up in New Bark Town when all the routes were closed, you know? Guess that was a mistake.

[She laughs - in retrospect, it was pretty silly of her]

Oh wow, you two two got a badge already? Guess you must know what you're doing, huh?

[LOOK AT THESE BRIGHTLY EXPECTANT EYES, NOKO. HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY LET THEM DOWN?]

[It's probably not possible for a snake to look any more unsure than Noko is right now, because it takes everything in her not to die right there and then. Why...why would anyone look at her like that? She barely knows what she's doing half the time— Her TRAINER barely knows what he's doing half the time. She's fairly certain he can barely count, let alone come up with a decent battle plan that isn't anything more than "let's wing it."

...And he just won't keep his stupid mouth closed.]

I got two badges, zura.

[And he only cried a little each battle!]

We need to get another one pretty soon so I can teach Kappi-chan how to swim, zura. She could always use more help if you wanna train before you head off to a gym again, zura.

[SHE HAS SO MUCH HOPE]

Wow, two? You really got a handle on this then!

[She nods excitedly]

Right, yeah - I definitely want the badges for surfing and flying. It'll be soooo cool to be able to travel by pokemon, right?

[A familiar girl is SPRINTING towards you, arms out, ready to hug you into infinity.]

Komasaaaaaaaaaan!

[Komasan's far too engrossed in his training to notice, at least not right away. He just smiles at his Linoone, proud of all the effort he's putting into this, only to look up and--]

M-MOOOOONGEEE!!

[He doesn't even get a chance to react, it's an instant collision.]

[GLOMP.

She doesn't even mind that they fall down, giggling wildly.]

Heeheeheeheehee! It's sooo good to see you, Komasan!

[Well...at least she's happy. Isamu's pretty relieved too, because it means they can take a break, but there's a very unhappy Dunsparce trying to wiggle her way out from under her dazed trainer.]

I-It's good to see you too, z-zura...

[Although with the way everything keeps spinning, it's difficult to get a good look at her.]

[While she does eventually sit up, she doesn't let go of Komasan, so he's pretty much in her lap.]

I missed you sooo much! You're even cuter than ever!

[Oh, okay, no big deal, just sitting in a girl's lap now.]

I-I, I mean... T-That's-- [Stuttering. Stop stuttering.] I don't think I've changed since the last time you saw me, z-zura!!

Really? Hm... Human time is so difficult to get used to! I can't tell when it's been a little while or a long time!

Eh...really, zura? Everything always feels so short to me, zura.

[But he'll agree, it is really hard to get used to.]

But that makes our time together all the more special!

I-I forgot to take my second vacation, zura!!

[And summer is almost over and everything!]

[She pauses, giving this some thought.]

So technically, right this second, you're still on vacation!

[Oh gosh, she's absolutely right. Komasan can only gasp.]

M-MONGE!! I dunno what I'd do without you, zura!

[And he smiles.]

That's not true, people leave without warning all the time, zura!

[And just...keeps smiling.]

[Whoops. She pauses, and then hugs him tighter.]

Well, 'm not leaving without a fight!

[Tight.... tight... m-maybe too tight!]

Ach— I-I believe you, z-zura!!

[If she fights as hard as she hugs, anyway.]

[Then just as suddenly, she pushes him off.]

So no more frowns, I'm going to treat you, since we're on vacation!

[And down he goes. Incidentally, Isamu does the opposite and lifts his head up when he hears the word "treat."]

A-Ah, but w-we're still training, zura!

Training for what?

Encouragement, huh? Well, do ya know what he really likes?

Any particular food, or just in general?

[Oh boy...one of these kinds of Pokemon. Kaneki knows them well, especially in the form of his food driven Scolipede...]

Good luck. You might be able to tempt him with going on walks to look for berries, maybe? Just say...you'll give him one or two of the ones you pick if he comes with you. Outside of his Pokeball.
