▶ ▷ ▶ SUMMER FESTIVAL PREPARATIONS IN FULL SWING! Hello, newsfans new and old! Ace Reporter Gabby here, coming at you live from Ecruteak City, where it's positively Shining as preparations for the O-bon festival are well underway! For those who have never heard of it, the O-bon festival is not only a cultural celebration but also a three-day period of reflection, meant to honor those close to you who have passed on from the world of the living. There are, of course, all of your favorite summer festival activities here; from street vendors, to carnival games, great food, and, of course, rental yukatas for all to wear, you'll find it all here! You'll want to make sure you catch Ecruteak's famous Kimono Girls, too, who are currently busy at work practicing their Bon Odori to welcome the spirits of the dead. EV News attempted to get an exclusive interview, but unfortunately, the girls were too deep into practice to be reached for comment... Don't fret if you're in Kanto, though! EV News has word that Lavender Town is also planning a simultaneous O-bon event, sponsored by Spooksicles, the flavor that Haunts you until the end of your days! While Kimono Girls will, unfortunately, not be performing in Kanto, you can only get these exclusive treats in Lavender Town, and ice cream fans regionwide are Astonished at how great they taste! Get yours early, because they'll be in high demand! How do you get there, you ask? No problem! Rapid transit is available from every Pokemon Center regionwide to get to the Ecruteak or Lavender Town locations, starting today! If you hop on a bus now, no matter where you are, you should be able to reach Ecruteak or Lavender before the festival starts this Saturday, August 13th, where it's shaping up to be a bit of a cloudy day, but there's not a ghost of a chance of rain!
