[Text Post] + Action for Route 21
Heading down to the crash site with some of my team.
If anyone else is going and wants to travel together I'm game.
Too much going on to just sit by honestly.
[Action]
[After the first broadcast about what was going on over in the Kanto Region, Noct had already started to make plans to travel over that way. He'd been intending to go to the Sevii Islands again anyway so this was just going to be a little side-trip if anything. How could he not go, after all? Weird things going on, Pokémon upset and in need of help...reminded him a lot of what happened on the Seafoam Islands in a way.
Then the second broadcast had come and it was announced that clean-up efforts were underway and that was all Noct needed to hear.
The prince had set out with some of his Pokémon that were fit for the task ahead of them and made it to Route 21 in decent time. (After a quick stop in Pallet Town to drop their stuff off.) From there they wasted no time in throwing themselves into the task at hand, Noct using Leviathan the Gyarados to navigate the route while his other Pokémon worked on gathering debris and aiding any Pokémon that might need help.
Need assistance with anything? Give them a shout.]

[Which is why Dinah is back in her Pokeball - not only is whatever's inside likely to have gone deeper in out of skittish fear, let's not collapse the debris on it entirely, okay? She means well, but this is a delicate operation.]
I'm attempting a more gentle approach. It...might be working?
[It's too dark in there, she can't see anything.]

Noct, meanwhile, slowly made his way over to where Jane was with Nyx in tow.]
You haven't seen what's in there then? I think I've got a flashlight in my bag if you want it..though, actually, that might just startle it more.
[Then again if whatever was in there was hurt, they needed to get it out soon.]
no subject
[She goes to the bag at her side - miraculously not waterlogged, thank you video game logic - and pulls out a tupperware of cookies.]
I've got berry cookies for my Pokemon...not sure what this fellow might like, but food is usually a good motivation for things, isn't it? [We're just going to make sure the water isn't sweeping into the debris yet and leave the cookie inside, deep enough so it can be found by the Pokemon but near enough so that Jane and Noctis might catch a glimpse of it if they look.]
no subject
[Noct slips his bag off his back and opens up one of the side pockets to pull out a few Pokemon friendly candies he had stashed inside, offering them to Jane.]
Here, an extra incentive.
[Beside his trainer, Nyx and sunk down to the ground as much as he could and was peering towards the debris, croaking softly. It's alright friend. You can come out.]
1/2
[Two snacks! Two snacks is double the incentive. There's a minute where only the lightest rustling can be heard from within the debris, and then Nyx, as close as he is to the ground, will be able to see a small white paw reach out and snatch the cookie first.
A pause.
Then the candy is met with two paws.]
...There's more where that came from, if you'd like to come out. Cross my heart.
[All that responds is the light sound of munching...]
2/2
He's. Wet. Sopping wet, as if he's been dealing with the tide under there for some time, and his eyes hone in on the open tupperware of cookies. It trembles a bit - it knows there are humans and a large Pokemon out here, but it's hungry and cold and wet and Jane has no idea what sort of creature it is, but rest assured, her heart breaks into a million gotdang pieces at the sight of this thing. She takes a sharp breath and tries to move slow as she brings out another cookie.]
Oh...ooh no...oh my goodness...um, hi there? I wasn't lying when I said we had more food...
[She leaves it a decent distance from the strange Pokemon, and his paws poke out to take it and shove it into his gob.]
no subject
That's not a Pokemon that Noctis has ever seen before and a glance at Nyx confirms that the Greninja isn't familiar with it either. Said Pokemon stays low to the ground as the little rabbit makes a grab for some more of the treats but he does croak softly again--questioningly--as he peers curiously at the rabbit.
Are you injured? Do you want a blanket?]
Jane, have you ever seen that Pokemon before? [It's said softly as Noct carefully pulls his 'gear out in an attempt to scan the skittish little guy, managing to do so--
and promptly get nothing.]
What...
no subject
[The rabbit freezes when Nyx speaks up, and turns to look at the other Pokemon...after a moment of hesitation, its mouth scrunches up and its eyes prickle with tears. He very scare, but doing him best.]
I wonder...if it might be like what happened years ago - apparently there was an influx of the Goomys one day, and the folks here had no idea what they were for a while. Maybe it's like that.
[But are these Pokemon victims of the crash...? They weren't here before it happened. Jane gently lays down another cookie for the rabbit to take, this one a little closer to herself and Noctis and Nyx. He scoots forwards accordingly.]
no subject
Good to know this isn't the first time something like this has happened. So it's potentially a new Pokemon...I wonder if it's the only one? There were a lot of Pokeballs.
[Was someone smuggling Pokemon from somewhere else?
Watching the bunny scoot closer, Noct set his 'gear down and reached for a Pokeball on his belt.]
I'm going to let out a Pokemon that I think can help warm this little guy up. Nyx--
[The Greninja nodded and was already shifting slightly to get the rabbit's attention. See that human? He's going to bring another friend out. There's nothing to worry about okay?]
no subject
[God, what even broke all of those? What set off this wild chain of events to begin with? These creatures must've had no idea what hit them.
The bunny looks from Nyx to the new Pokeball and nods once, slowly. More Pokemon is...okay, so long as it's not A Lot Of Pokemon. When Jane doesn't set down another cookie, he wiggles completely out of the debris to get to the tupperware and grab another one, freezing mid-bite when Jane's eyes catch him.
Oh, this is too sweet. She can't laugh, her laugh might startle him, but she wants to.]
Go on, it's alright. I can always make more. [She reaches for her bag slowly.] Would you like a towel? It'll help get you dry.
[Bunny nods, eating this next cookie a little slower than the others.]
no subject
and immediately hones in on the soaking wet bunny.
The Bibarel lets out a worried noise and rocks forward onto all fours, toddling over towards the bunny as he lets out reassuring sounds. Oh you poor thing! Look at you! Come here let's get you warmed up and cleaned up. Floof sits down near the bun as Nyx moves out of the way, chattering softly and motioning for their new friend to sit near him. Come on, it's okay. You can cuddle with him with the towel Jane's got for you and get extra warm!]
Do you think it's just one type though. You said this happened before with Goomy--I wonder if all those Pokeballs were full of just this type of Pokémon or if we should keep our eyes open for something else as well.
[Which means it could be anything. This one is a rabbit, what could the others be if there are more?]
I noticed what looked like fire damage to some of the debris but the air has also been colder. Could be the work of two different scared Pokémon.
no subject
[Jane places the towel in front of her, but not too close, and the rabbit takes it, hugging the rolled up length of terrycloth like a pillow and hesitantly scooting back towards Floof. He likes this human, but Pokemon are a bit easier to get on with.]
Well...as for what's responsible, I can't say I can think of just one culprit. It could be more than one. But if there's more little fellows like this lost in the area, it's going to make finding the answers a lot more complicated by virtue of caring for...I suppose victims? [Her face sours - "victims" or "survivors" both sound far too grim.]
no subject
[Floof let's out a soothing noise, patting the bunny on the head gently with a paw. There you go. Isn't this nice?]
Victims is probably a good word for it. [Noct frowns gently, looking out over the debris then over the water. Who knows how many more might be out there.] Whoever's responsible for this better not be around still if they know what's good for them.
no subject
[You know. Jane is aware that Noctis is saying sensible words right now. She is! She's a smart girl! But at the same time...look at him, Noct. Look at him. He's a bunny. She doesn't want to hand him over to anyone.
The rabbit nods, but still doesn't feel like vocalizing, just wraps itself around that towel and leans into Floof. Ooph, it's chilly here! So chilly! Why is it chilly?]
...No, they better not. And the ought'nt try this again...gracious, if the Pokemon are in this state, I'd hate to find out whatever happened to any actual people, if they turn up...
