Video; also action for the Sevii Observatory

[There isn't much audio to this one at the moment. The Gear is showing one of the Observatory's tallest telescopes, where, at the very very top, a Sobble shaking and crying. Climbing up the telescope very carefully is Matt, trying to get the poor 'mon down.]

Come on, little guy. It's alright. I'm going to help you down. Stars only know how you got up here in the first place....

[Behind the Gear there's some snickering going on. A lot of snickering. Yukishiro and Venus are enjoying their trainer's mishaps.


Sevii Observatory:

[Matt has set up a few tables inside the observatory proper where he's brought out some colored pencils, crayons, and blank paper. There's a sign on the table:

What do you think extraterrestrial Pokemon look like?

Behind the table, there's a wall where a bunch of drawings are posted, along with some actual photos of Minior, Solrock, Lunatone, and other non-terrestrial 'mons.

In some quieter moments, Matt's at a table, sitting in a chair for someone about half his size, and drawing what looks like pastel fuzzballs, with Halley floating over his shoulder.

[It's a shame that Glaceon and Vulpix don't have opposable thumbs. However, after a few moments go by, Matt does respond.]

I've had a number of them wandering through, but this little blue guy seems to like my office.

He cries a lot, though.

I found the white one -- fire type I guess?

I'm almost there. Are you on the roof or in your office now?

[Pidge left you alone for two minutes, Matt. TWO. And yet she comes back with hands full of coffee and no brother to be seen.] Matt?

[Coffees go to the desk, and as she raises her head again to continue looking around... That's when she sees him. Climbing on a telescope. With his Pokémon video-ing the whole thing and snickering to themselves.

Her eyes go very, very wide.]

What the-- Matt, what're you doing up there?!

Ack!

[Matt flails for a bit, but catches himself.]

Oh... hi, Pidge. One of those new little guys found his way up the telescope and he's stuck up there crying. I can't leave him up there.

[action]

[pidge_out]

[She very nearly screams when she sees that. The last thing she needs right now is an incapacitated brother.]

Climbing out there is hardly a sound solution, Matt!

[But she's going to move until she's kind of... standing as close to "right beneath him" as she can manage. You know. To catch him if he falls.]

[action]

[Matt glances down and grimaces when he realizes how high up he is.]

What else am I supposed to do? He's throwing off the telescope's calibrations, and he's crying!

[Matt, you're throwing off the calibrations yourself, you idiot.

He keeps climbing until he's right underneath the little creature.]

Come on, guy. We're going to get you down.

[action]

[pidge_out]

[She will very happily point out-] You're throwing off the calibrations!

[But whatever, she is ready to attempt to catch any and all idiots that come falling off a telescope.]

...Is it okay? Is it hurt?

Yeah, well, I can get down. This little guy's just... frozen up here.

[Matt moves up a bit more to hold his hands out for the 'mon. It's shivering, and Matt's suddenly worried it will start crying up a literal storm.]

It doesn't look hurt, it just looks scared. It's ok, little guy. I know what it is to be alone and scared.

[Were Cecil present in person, he would strongly glare at those snickering Pokémon. As it is, he can only worry.]

The poor creature. I hope it did indeed climb up, rather than fall down.

[It's a bit before Matt can respond, and when he does, he looks dusty and even more dishevelled than usual.]

I'm pretty sure he did. I haven't seen any of these little guys on the outside of the buildings. He's fine now, though.

Is he? Thank goodness. The lizards seem even more prone to tears than the monkeys and rabbits, and I've no doubt being stuck up a telescope did not help.

[Not that he can blame them, considering the circumstances.]

They are. One started crying by a couple of my ice-types and I ended up with a bit of an ice-rink in here.

[Matt smiles over the gear for a moment.]

Do you know much about these little guys?

A large number have found their way to Celadon and the surrounding routes; I've had to leave bowls of water and food in the garden, both at home and at the Gym.

[His worried expression softens a little.]

Thankfully, none of the local species have decided they'd be easy targets, as far as I can tell.

Yeah, we've been leaving food and water out both around here and at home. Then again, I think some of the wild voltorbs at home are making sure the wild ones get fed.

[Never cross the wild voltorbs. Never.]

Hey, uh. Matt, man. You look like you could use a hand there. Maybe at least to hold you steady?

[Yukishiro the Glaceon comes over to the front and shakes her head. Her derpy trainer's got this. She hopes.

After a bit, Matt finally responds, rather embarrassed.]

Oh... hey, Hunk. I'm fine. Just banged my bad knee.

[Typical Matt Holt doesn't like needing help. He will never turn down conversation, however.]

Dude, this knee goes out at any little thing. It's not a big deal.

I was trying to get this little guy down.

[He turns the 'gear around to show the little blue 'mon crying a puddle in his office.]

He got stuck up there.

I'm just saying, you only get two of those. I'm pretty sure. I mean, I used to think you only got two arms, too, but Shiro proved me wrong, so. Maybe you're okay?

Aw, poor little guy! He looks so upset!

Yeah. Shiro does kinda throw out the curve on that. Everyone gets two arms, except Spiders Shiro, who is an outlier and should not be counted.

He does looks so lonely, doesn't he? We've had a few of the new guys wandering through, but this one's just... stayed mostly. I think he likes me?
