[Connor seems subdued as he turns on the gear, eyes cast downward instead of making eye contact with the camera.]
I... wanted to inform you all that Hank is gone. His Pokemon are gone too, except for one.
[He pauses to sigh, swallows, and finally looks at the gear. Said Pokemon, Connie the Floette, hovers by Connor's side, sulking.]
I don't understand why I'm still here. We arrived here together, surely we should have left together?
[It's a question he knows there's no answer to, but he's distraught and trying to rationalise the situation. Maybe he's hoping someone will tell him that he'll leave soon, too. Because without Hank here, he feels lost. He's suddenly in this strange world alone. What seemed like a wonderful life has been turned upside down overnight. He had been excited for his first prom, but now he has nobody to go with and the whole affair has lost its appeal. Going back to their home in Goldenrod seems daunting. Won't it be empty all on his own?
He abruptly shuts off the camera.]

It's one of those things on my giant list of things I want to know more about this place.
...um, if I find anything. I'll let you know.
[He's really not good at this sort of thing but he can offer anything he might find in the future.]
I guess...that's one good thing. ...he really didn't like it here?
no subject
[Connor really has no reason to believe anyone can find anything, but he would be glad to know about it if they did.]
He didn't, no. I think he felt that he had no purpose. For the most part, he simply let me drag him around Johto.

He seemed to be getting into finding lost pokemon. Plus, even if you don't like places if you get dragged around by friends or family it's usually not that bad.
I mean my sister drags me around places and I'll usually have fun because she's my sister and we have fun together. Even if I sometimes act like I'm not.
[Helping? Well he's trying.]

[And a world like this, so seemingly perfect... what could he do?]
I like to think he had fun with me, at least. The circumstances just weren't ideal for him.

[His theories are clones or robots.]
Yeah this world is...odd like that. I mean I like that people don't find monsters strange. But it can be really frustrating in other places. But anyway. Even if he didn't like the place, I bet he had fun with you.
Oh and I don't know if it helps but I got some advice when Mabel vanished, which was mostly. Don't do stupid things you're known for doing that you know are bad for you. Er...in my case it was someone telling me not to wander off and get lost trying to explore the woods or some place by myself.
I kind of have a bad habit of going off on my own to try and investigate things. And after losing my sister....I probably would have done that if someone hadn't said I did it the last time I was here and Mabel left. So maybe watch out for things that seem like a good idea but probably aren't in the long run.....I'm not sure if that helps at all...sorry.

[He smiles sadly at the idea of Hank having honestly had fun with him, though. He hopes so.]
Don't do anything stupid. Got it.
[The smile becomes a little more genuine.]
Thank you. I think I needed to hear that from someone. Maybe I'll be better off putting my time into training my Pokemon.

[Dipper may have a long list of possible theories about the police here.]
No, problem. ...I'm glad it's helpful. Training pokemon is good. I ended up reading a lot and then I got really lucky and they had a scavenger hunt that ran the entire summer, that I could throw myself into and focus on that instead. Without doing anything stupid.

[That's an interesting theory, one that Connor thinks over for a few moments before continuing.]
I've never read an actual book before. I've read magazines, but they're very different to paper books where I'm from. It seems like they're a good way to pass the time, though. Maybe I should look into them more.
no subject
[He's going to be adding to his notes again, isn't he.]
Wait, really? You should totally look into books! There's all sorts, some are just fun to read like mysteries but you can learn a lot of stuff from them too.
no subject
[It really does seem like this world is too good for that sort of thing, but who knows?]
They must be fun, if so many people read them. And I would like to learn more. Are there any books you'd recommend?
no subject
I mean there's lots of things they could be hiding, there's just not any proof of anything so it's just speculation at the moment. If they don't want outsiders joining it could have something to do with why all the officers look the same or something. ....my current theory is clones.
[Connor, you are asking a semi professional conspiracy theorist.]
Books are great. Um, it really depends on what you like but if you haven't read any. I find mystery books are good to read. I finally tracked down this worlds version of the Sibling Brothers, those are books I really liked back home. They're called The Patrat Boys. It's about a pair of teens with Patrats that solve mysteries.
no subject
[If he could scan them, he would be able to find out. Unfortunately, he's just a human now.]
I'll look for The Patrat Boys first, then. I like solving mysteries.
no subject
[Like teleporting and pokeballs, etc.]
You'll like mystery books then. That's half the fun, trying to figure out the mystery as book goes along.
