[Connor seems subdued as he turns on the gear, eyes cast downward instead of making eye contact with the camera.]
I... wanted to inform you all that Hank is gone. His Pokemon are gone too, except for one.
[He pauses to sigh, swallows, and finally looks at the gear. Said Pokemon, Connie the Floette, hovers by Connor's side, sulking.]
I don't understand why I'm still here. We arrived here together, surely we should have left together?
[It's a question he knows there's no answer to, but he's distraught and trying to rationalise the situation. Maybe he's hoping someone will tell him that he'll leave soon, too. Because without Hank here, he feels lost. He's suddenly in this strange world alone. What seemed like a wonderful life has been turned upside down overnight. He had been excited for his first prom, but now he has nobody to go with and the whole affair has lost its appeal. Going back to their home in Goldenrod seems daunting. Won't it be empty all on his own?
He abruptly shuts off the camera.]

[Though right now, he just wants to go home. Still, he gives Newt a wider smile.]
I have four, too. I'm interested in getting at least six, I've heard there's a special Pokemon you can apply for after that. A man-made one, like Porygon.
[Which of course interests him, as a man-made creation himself.]

Really? What badges do you have?
[Give her a moment.]
...oh I think I saw some of those at the last prom. I didn't know you had to get them a special way though.

[So he has to train up some Pokemon that can take on Fighting types.]
Really? What were they like? Who had one?
[He's obviously interested enough in the topic that he's temporarily distracted, even though there's still a dull ache in his chest that brings him back to the present every so often.]

[She has to think back for a moment. There was a LOT going on and she wasn't in the best state of mind near the end. But those things are hard to miss.]
I don't remember everyone who had one....but Heather had one. She's the lady who beat the elite team recently. I don't know much about them either but I think they helped make the monsters from the sky go away.

[He's curious as to what happened now.]
I'd like to get an electric-type one. I'm very fond of them. Which would you get, if you decided to get one?
[Essentially, what's her favourite type?]
no subject
Um....they looked like giant jellyfish...I think. And they came out of a giant portal in the sky.
[It was fun and traumatic. Actually scratch that fun bit.]
I'm not sure what types they come in....but my favourite pokemon type is fire. I really like fire.

[As for Heather, he'll speak with her if he sees her on the network.]
Fire is a very good type, too. Is there any particular reason you're drawn to it?
no subject
[Which was a surprise to her because she was sure everyone was going to die.]
Fire scares the monsters in my world, and it can kill them. Not a lot of things can do that, so it makes me feel safer.
[Because in her mind, there is nothing worse or more dangerous than a xenomorph.]
