Okay, okay! You have to just hold it like this.

[The video shows Webby's face as she adjusts her PokeGear. One of her Pokemon seem to be holding it. It's hard to tell what Pokemon it is, but the blue arms of a Nidoran seem to be holding it in place.]

Perfect! Don't bite it this time, okay?

[The Nidoran squeaks in reply, and Webby takes a few steps back and waves at the camera. Beside her is a fully evolved Rapidash, and just the foot of a very large Pokemon.]

Hi, I'm Webby! This video is going to be my proof that I'm about to do the coolest thing in the world. And that thing is riding a sword horse while high-fiving a dinosaur!

[And Webby climbs on her Rapidash's back. Her newly evolved shiny Tyrantrum tries to awkwardly poke his head into the view of the camera.]

Okay boys, just like we practiced! Hi-yah! Giddy up!

[The Rapidash seems to sigh to itself, and then gallops foward. It makes a leap towards the Tyrantrum. Most of this isn't barely being recorded because it's a Nidoran doing the filming here.]

THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIIIIIFEEEEEEEE!

[And then the Tyrantrum, in an attempt to "high five" accidentally slaps Webby right off of her horse. She goes sailing into some bushes, which the camera catches right before the Nidoran drops the PokeGear.]

A-Are you all right?

[That looked concerning!!]

[The small girl pops out of the bushes with a big grin, hair a mess with sticks and leaves poking out of it, and maybe a few scratches. She spits out some debris from face-planting in the dirt.]

I'm great!! Ow.

[Webby, you can't say you are fine and then go ow. It makes you sound just a bit unbelievable.]

You should take care of those scratches, at least. Do you have any bandaids?

[No she's totally fine really. Ignore those bruises!]

Lena miiight have some? I'll have to ask her.

[No. They have already been spotted and will get appropriately fussed over.]

Even if this place is pretty forgiving, you should still take care of your body. I'm not sure who Lena is, but it might be a good idea to carry some bandaids with you in the future.

[You know. For when you decide to do more dinosaur based stunts.]

Put ice on those bruises when you can.

[ what in the world made any of this seem like a good idea? she may never know. ]

oh i don't have any bruises I think.

oh wait no that's definitely one forming right there. my mistake.

Shouldn't take too long to heal up, but the ice helps. Like I said.

What as the purpose behind all that?

well I've always wanted to ride a sword horse. and high-five a dinosaur! So I tried to do both!!

I tak it you're considering the horn to be the sword?

Do they have dinosaurs where you're from?

Yeah! That's were the stabby part is anyway.

Well... sorta? They've definitely been dead for a really long time, but I'm holding out for some kind of secret society of dinosaurs that managed to survive for billions and billions of years.

I... guess that's one way of thinking about it. Though most swords do more than stab, and most horns don't do more than stab.

Dinosaurs were that level of intelligent?

[ To form secret societies? She knows nothing about Dinosaurs, this is her ??? at the world. ]

[So... Lena, being your typical teenager, but also saddled with terrible nightmares and a newfound freedom to do whatever she wants, is kind of prone to sleeping in. That's cool, that's fine, they haven't really restricted themselves to any kind of serious schedule so she doesn't have anywhere to be. The downside to this is that it means Lena misses out on the entire setup; it's not until she hears Webby yelling that Lena realizes Something's Up, and by the time she runs over to the little clearing Webby's in... it's too late, and she bears witness to Webby getting yeeted straight into the bushes.

Lena can only stand there in shock, jaw dropped.... before she bursts out laughing.]

Oh man, Pink! That was crazy!

[SHE KNEW THERE WAS A REASON THEY WERE BESTIES. You know, aside from the whole. Plot forced on her by Magica. But details!]

[Lena this is why Webby loves you.

Webby pops up out of the bushes, hair a mess with leaves and sticks in it. There's some scratches and probably some bruises from just getting fling into the bushes by a giant T-Rex. A normal person might be 1) embarrassed 2) in shock or pain 3) vowing to never do a stupid trick like that again.

Instead, Webby just gives a thumbs up.]

Thanks! Gotta work on that jump next time!

[Webby's Tyrantrum gives a little sad whine as he lowers his head and nudges her.]

Awww, don't worry, big guy! That was a great high-five! Guess I can check that off the list of life goals!

[Nothing's bleeding profusely, so Lena's sure she's fine. Which means she doesn't have to go fretting about her friend (look, she totally WOULD if Webby was actually hurt, but she's not, so it's all good!) and focus more on the stupid kind of fun Webby is setting up here.]

Yeah buddy, Webs has been through way worse and came out okay, right?

[.... Probably not the most reassuring thing for poor Tyrantrum, but hey. Lena's not the softest person out there.]

Think that your fire horse jumping instead of you jumping will help? That way you've... you know. Still got a grip on something so you don't go flying as far.

Yep, I've been through way worse!

[Again, not that reassuring. The Tyrantrum whines a little, but doesn't really protest any further.]

Well, if I'm gonna be honest... I should probably learn how to ride a horse that's on fire all the time.

... Yeah, learning how to ride probably would be a good step towards perfecting those sick tricks.

[It's funny, Lena knows how sheltered Webby is, and she's used that knowledge pretty well in her time as Magica's servant. But with everything Webby's done and everything she's talked about doing... she kind of assumed Beakley taught Webby how to ride a horse. After all, that's something stuffy British people love doing, right? Riding horses and playing stuff like polo?]

Well, we should probably ship out to the next town soon. You can probably get in a bunch of practice on the way there.

[tbh it's gonna be hard to get Webby off of a unicorn on fire.]

Oh, right... sooo, where's our next destination?

Azalea Town. Cozy little place, just on the edge of a huge forest, so the gym's full of bugs.

[Lena grins, a gleam of mischief in her eyes.]

What d'you say we knock that place over with our fire types? It'll be a cakewalk.

Superb job! You almost got the daylights knocked out of you by a dinosaur.

[Which would have been cool on its own right, but not precisely what Webby intended, he figures]

You mean high-fiving a dinosaur? Oh no, I've always had that life goal! Along with piloting an airplane and go sledding!

I already did the sledding one though.

So can we all expect you to crash an airplane in the middle of the forest soon? Will the airplane ride also include a dinosaur?

Me crash? Pfffft. That's Launchpad's job. And oh, oh! I hope so! This big guy here might be a little too big.

[The Tyrantrum whines a little.]

Uhh, well maybe we could find a plane big enough... we'll work on it!

He looks strong enough to lift a plane, anyway. He can lift it and run around with you in the cockpit.

[The Tyrantrum shakes his head. Doesn't seem to like the idea too much.]

Ahh... well, maybe not. Are there any flying dinosaur Pokemon?

No way there aren't!

[There must be a Pokemon for every animal that ever existed]

And if there isn't any around here then one of those will pop up from a cave or something. New species appear from time to time, at some point there'll be flying dinosaurs going around.

Nope! Just a bunch of bruises I think! At least nothing feels like it's broken.

[She does definitely looked roughed up. Hair sticking in every direction, scratches on her face, dirt and leaves in her hair.]

[The remaining tries were either them missing or Webby trying to convince her Rapidash to leap towards the claws of a giant dinosaur.]

[He shrugs his shoulders and holds up his hands.]

I'd be more surprised if you had it down pat from the start. Stunts like that take some serious planning. And safety gear.

At least, that's what I'd say if I were one of those stiff, hardcase adults.

[He'd like to think he hasn't become that much of a sourpuss, despite being in his twenties now.]

[Wow, and she's really gonna do it--OH. THERE SHE GOES.]

Nope, not the last day! But aw, that would've been a pretty awesome way to go out. Even better than getting eaten by a dinosaur!
