Hello everybody!

What an exciting summer it's been! I'm on my very first human summer vacation!

[Which is clearly just as exciting as what went down at ghost camp.]

But what's everyone's favorite things to do on a summer getaway? I've been swimming and surfing and I spent a night with some Rattata....

Oh and we have to go treasure hunting, of course! And have some sort of a race with the locals! I'm not sure what kind, though...

Ah, where I'm from, we don't have particularly warm summers...! Of course, it's certainly the least-chilly, so I'll often make a point to spend some time outside.

[He rubs the back of his head.] Of course, I... don't consider myself to be the most social of folks. Usually I'll just read or take walks. A swim sounds delightful right about now, though...~

There's all sorts of places to go swimming here! But someone once told me Olivine has the best beaches in the region!

I'm from one of the colder areas of Sweden; it's a country in Europe where I'm from. Blizzards are frequent there.

I'll have to remember Olivine for myself, then! It sounds like a lovely change of scenery from what I'm used to.

[He cocks his head to the side.] And yourself? Where are you from?

Oh, is it near the North Pole?

Olivine's very lovely! But I think the islands can give the beaches there a run for the money, as humans say!

I lived in Beach City before.

I... do suppose it's closer to the North Pole than other locations... [For whatever reason that question caught him off-guard.] Certainly one of the most northern areas in Europe.

'Beach City,' you say? How was the view there? It sounds like the sort of place where it's lovely.

Was there lots of snow?

It had a beautiful view! It's a lovely little town right on the shore.

It sounds like a delightful place. Though I don't believe I'll ever get the opportunity, I would love to visit. I have seldom had the opportunity of visiting seaside locations, especially ones with proper shorelines.

There was indeed a great deal of snow! Sometimes it even proved cumbersome to travel through. I remember a number of childhood days where I was stuck inside my home due to the massive snowfall we would sometimes receive.

It's not Summer Vacation without Summer foods! Ice cream, watermelon, lemonade, popsicles, barbeque -

I love ice cream! It's the very first thing I ever ate as a human! And the very first thing I ever bought with money!!!

It was an ice cream sandwich! The ice cream had chocolate chips in it and it was in between two cookies!

I've eaten a lot of ice cream since.

That sounds basically perfect! It's so nice that there's so many different things to eat, here.

Concerts on the beach and stargazing at night are also super fun.

Oh like off of cliffs? I haven't done that in ages!

Ah, no. I meant like scuba diving. Or snorkelling.

[Diving off cliffs seems very dangerous!]

It's exhilarating, leaping off of cliffs into the water!

Oh! No, I've never done that!

It sounds dangerous.

[Armin has some experience leaping off tall things and diving down, but that was while wearing the gear. Doing it just like that and into water sounds like an accident waiting to happen to him.]

Oh, you should. It's incredible. You get to see all these water pokemon in their natural habitat. Not to mention the coral reefs and even things like shipwrecks.

My favorite thing to do for summer? Hmmm...

Oh! Learning how to fire a crossbow! Or survival the harsh, unforgiving wilderness. Oh, oh, maybe ghost hunting!

I've already been ghost hunting! And I know to fire all kinds of bows...but I don't think survivalist training is a very fun vacation activity....

Camping is so much fun! Dandy and I have been camping when we travel!

Oh and beach camping is the best! I love the ocean at night.

I've basically been camping ever since I got here. Except when we get to towns, of course.

Ohh, I haven't been beach camping! That sounds so much fun!

Oh you should try staying at a hotel! Hotels are wonderful!

But the beach is one of my favorite places.
