Second Paper Crane [Video]
[Hanna appears on the screen with Noibat on his shoulder, as usual. They're unseparable, except...unfortunately so are he and Conrad at the moment. Conrad being the person floating behind him with an expression on his face like he's being paid to be there but obviously not enough.]
Hi! My name is Hanna Cross and I will be your ghost expert for today!
Ghosts, [He points to the one behind him, silent and still as usual.] just like this one here, happen when someone dies and has regret or a strong emotion chaining them to the world of the living. Usually it's regret. Or anger.
The only problem is I can't seem to get a rise out of any of the ghosts i've encountered, including my own. They don't speak, they don't react, they just watch. And that's weird. So, i've thought of a few ideas on how to try and get rid of them. Nicely, that is. Don't be a dick and attack the ghost no matter how hard the feelings are. They aren't hurting you, they're existing and they at least have that right. [He's looking at you, who ever you are.]
Firstly, most people seem to know the apparition that is following them. Now, if you know how they died, perhaps think of anything that might have been going wrong in their life or they might have strong feelings about. The key is Negotiation. Talk to them, maybe try and ease what ever worries they might have. I'm sure they'd like to move on and stop bothering you just as much as you'd like them too, so be strong and think about topics to cover.
Second...well? Since that didn't work for mine...maybe think about what you might have done wrong. This one is more difficult...and I know I'm still working on it myself, but maybe all they want is an apology? I'm not saying every apparition is blaming you for their death, but...I'm all out of options. Nothing I would usually do is working, and I've got no more magic up my sleeves, so. Just try...
I'm sorry I couldn't help more, but that's my advice to all of you. Good luck! I...I know I'm going to need it.

That's an admission....maybe? I....I'm not sure.
If it needed something else, what do you think it could be?
no subject
Either way he gives him a disbelieving look.]
Nothing. I cannot do anything else. But...if I ever get home, I think I'll apologize to Blooky. I've been too tied up in showbiz to pay him any mind even though we travel together. So that, I think, is a step up?
[Apparently...that's the magic word, because the ghost impersonating his cousin suddenly drops the facade, revealing a ball of gas with giant eyes and a big, unnecessarily happy grin.]
Gaaaast!!!
[Mettaton moves away from it, but the Pokémon is too pleased to go away and instead floats closer, licking Mettaton's cheek.]
Augh!! Disgusting!!!

Conrad wasn't real behind him, but that look still made him feel like shit.]
Awww....it's proud of you!

[Mettaton gave a loud huff, reaching for something while simultaneously swerving out of the way of the ghost before it could lick him again.
...And then he pushes a Pokeball directly into its face, dropping it once the Gastly was drawn in. This is literally his most dispassionate attempt to catch a Pokémon, and he turns away immediately, not even checking to see if the thing stays in the ball.
He runs a hand through his hair, sighing heavily.]
Alright, anyway! I suppose I ought to thank you for your insight...Hanna was it?

[Still, it's...a little odd. his arms fold over himself, sure that if he said good bye now he could get away from any questions.] Don't mention it. I...did this kind of thing back home. Negotiating was important. It helped everyone, and I'm glad I could do it here for you. And yeah, it's Hanna. Hanna Cross.

Well I almost feel as if I owe you something, so maybe I can help you!! Since you seem to have a very aggravated friend with you as well. I haven't really said anything because understandably, I had my own problem!!
[A pause, and Mettaton looks down at his newly acquired friend.]
A problem that I may have to carry with me for the forseeable future. Tch. Well, that is my fault isn't it?!
[He shrugs, then returns to the matter at hand.]
Tell me about your ghost!!! How is it making you feel?
[Mmhm. Turnabout is fair play.]

[Conrad indeed always looks like that. He's got a flat line for a mouth and angry eyebrows.] Anyways, what are you going to name your Ghastly? I mean, It's great that it's so sweet! It had your best interests at heart even!
[He can't avoid that though, the straight forward question and he stares at the other man.] I feel fine. It's kind of funny actually, I almost missed Conrad following me around. He's kind of always there back home too.
no subject
[He's really not going to let Hanna worm out of it, unless he happens to hang up or something of the like. Which Mettaton will find Rude with a capital R, but also he might self-reflect a little at that.]
If you did want him around, or had no particular compunctions, then the ghost wouldn't be hanging around you now, would it? I'm just pointing the obvious out, sweetheart!!
no subject
Well I guess I felt bad that he was always there. He didn't help much, just followed. But wouldn't everyone? Who knows why he tried so hard to be there. [It's a mystery. A real mystery. Hanna honestly can't answer that himself, it's a real question. Why he was there...why had he tried to be when he was the one that fucked up in the first place? But he says this with a casual look and tone. Nothing is bothering him. He's okay.] I have no idea.
