[The Gear turns on, showing a very frazzled-looking Webby. She looks like she hasn't slept in days, and considering it's 3 a.m. right now, she's making sure no one else gets any sleep either.
She's holding a coffee mug, which miiiiight explain why she's up so late and also looking mildly insane.]
Okay, I think I figured it out! The Suicine mystery, I mean! I spent hooooourssss researching legendary Pokemon. I was getting really tired, BUT MYSTERIES DO NOT SLEEP AND NOR WILL I, WEBBY VANDERQUACK!!
[Webby picks up the Gear to show a bunch of post-it notes, connected to each other by string. The center one shows a crude drawing of Suicine, connected to a note that says "lost color?" and connected to other various post-it notes with different theories written on them.]
Suicine has lost it's color, right? And that means it's sick! But we don't know how to make it better - which is where Mew comes in!
[There's a Mew post-it note that Webby points to.]
Mew can give Suicine it's color back - but wait, where is Mew you ask? Well, I believe it's location is somewhere under a truck somewhere near a ship called the S.S. Anne. If we can just find this Mew... it can be the key to making Suicune well again!
[What proof does Webby have of this? None. She's stuck and has no idea how to solve this mystery and she's developing a complex. But this is her first attempt at drinking coffee because it's supposed to help you stay awake - and she hasn't slept in a while.
Someone tell her to go to bed.]

How many cups have you had?
You weigh, what? Sixty pounds soaking wet? Believe me, I get the want to solve a mystery. But you're gonna blow out your heart. Get some sleep.

There's no way I can sleep now! I'm so close to cracking this case!
[She's nowhere near cracking anything.]

[The hard question.]
You always gotta follow up theories with evidence. I'm a detective, I should know.

[There's offscreen ruffling of papers. A lot of papers. Webby gives a nervous laugh.]
I swore I had them somewhere... and there's the articles online and...
Oh phooey, I don't have any good evidence. The truth is I can't figure out this mystery at all.
no subject
But you want to investigate, right?
There are news articles, right? And stories on TV? A very good way to investigate is to see what people say. And if they said two different things to two different people, that's something you should look closer at.

[Admittedly, this is far from the first opportunity he's had to witness somebody's sleep-deprived speculation on the nature of otherworldly godlike beings, so... he's not exactly fazed by the sight of this setup by itself, but...]
Quick question: how many... consecutive hours of research have you put into this, so far?

...it happens to the best of us. For what it's worth, I'd say trying to find a cure for a demigod's illness is a nobler reason to pull an all-nighter compared to, say, last-minute cramming before finals.
But. Having good reasons doesn't make it any healthier. You should... really get some sleep in.

[Armin's voice is gentle as he delivers this news though. Even if Webby's plan won't work, she is clearly concerned and trying to help Suicune and that always put people in Armin's good books.]
He's really good at handling this sort of mystery stuff, so if he says it isn't there, I believe him.
Video;
Are you sure? Maybe Mew moved! And after your friend left it went back to the truck!
Video;
But... why do you think we need Mew specifically to heal Suicune? Do you think Mew can do something about this that Ho-oh can't?
[This feels like an urban legend.]
Nope, it's gotta be 100% legit! Otherwise I've spent all those hours for nothing!
[Eye twitch.]
[... Maybe focus on something more important.]
What's your theory that they're near the SS Anne, anyway? Or where that is? Maybe I can help look for it!
I've been doing a lot of online research, and there's a few articles about a mythical Pokemon taking refuge near the SS Anne!
Video
But are you sure about that truck?
Video
And yup, 100% percent! I uh... it's the only lead I found so it's...
[Webby blinks, shaking her head tiredly.]
That's gotta be the place!

[Goodmornight, Carly is too tired to deal with...Most of this? Most of this.
also wait]
....who's mew..? [She needs a coffee...]

[What crimes? Who knows. Webby's had like two cups of coffee and no sleep and now everything tinfoil hat conspiracy sounds legit to her.]

[Carly is slightly unnerved, though perhaps she should be far more unnerved.
Instead of, y'know, asking questions.] ....Crimes?
[Carly no]
