Sixth 👻 Story [Audio/Action for...Route 37?] BACKDATED TO THE 19TH
[No video today, which is weird for Ashley! Usually she switches that on, for convenience. Instead, it's just her heavy breathing and frustrated voice.]
Okay, someone, please tell me you've found a charm, or an incantation, or anything, because this is getting ridiculous. It's been four days but sh- look, I'm glad she's not being- not throwing anything yet or- but nothing I try is working, and I'm getting so...
[She trails off, as she's started to sound increasingly more upset.]
If anyone's had luck, just- tell me? I- I thought ghosts were supposed to let you know what they want, not...just stand there.
[With a defeated tone, she just clicks off her Pokégear.]
[ACTION FOR ROUTE 37, LATER]
[Whatever advice she gets, as the afternoon sets in, Ashley becomes increasingly impatient and decides maybe leaving Ecruteak, which she has dubbed Ghost City, will make her more effective in escaping her haunting.
Unfortunately, she'd opted for quick travel, so that makes this route an untraveled road, so she gets a little tripped up and takes way longer than she should and the point is the sun's starting to set and she's getting really nervous. Being outside, alone, in the dark with the ghost of her dead friend following her?
Yeah, that is enough to make anyone twitchy, but for Ashley it's a beautiful concoction of extreme terror. In her nervous departure, she'd forgotten to grab any Pokémon she could ride, so that makes this a slower, more harrowing journey. Clinging to her shiny Eevee, she makes her way down the route, trembling all the while and trying to breathe deep and calm down.
Every rustle of grass or snap of a twig completely obliterates that plan, though; she barely goes a few minutes without jumping or stifling a shriek, especially when she loses sight of the ghost, for it will undoubtedly just pop up soon once again...]
