009/video, sevii islands - Backdated to Fourth Wall
[The feed opens to a hotel room that seems to be covered in weird white stuff. Ray is looking at the camera concerned while holding some of them and - oh my god he has so many Snom in this hotel room.
Ray looks over his shoulder, seemingly nervous, as he cuddles his armful of Snom.]
H-hey everybody, have you seen these guys? I've done some research on them and apparently they're called "Snom", a bug Pokemon that lives off of snow to live. I know it's been pretty snowy here lately but I'm in Sevii Islands, and this snow's gotta melt here soon. I'm worried that once it does these little guys are going to start or melt from the hot weather.
[A Snom crawls on his shoulder and gently boops him on the cheek.]
I can't have them die on me! I've been hoarding them here for safety but I don't know how I'm gonna feed them all! So if anyone knows how to create a snow machine quickly so that these guys can eat, I would really like that.
[He looks away for a moment, and then awkwardly looks back at the camera.]
And... could you guys not tell Peter about this? He doesn't like bugs so I really don't want him to find out about this. Thanks.
[He did not lock this video away from Venkman.]

Video;
[The very concept of such a machine is wonderous to him. Though now is not the time to focus on that.]
But how strict are they on only eating snow? Do you think they'd eat a close substitute like ice? Or ice shavings, at least?
Video;
[Ray opens the freezer door and apparently a tiny hoard of Snom got in and area eaten everything in there: The frozen meals, the ice cream, and yes, even the ice.
He's shocked but not nearly as concerned as he should be for this.]
Well I guess that answers that.
Video;
At least it is good to know they can eat more than just snow.
I have pokemon with ice moves if you need any help taking care of them all. And there is an icy cave here on Island Four that might work for keeping them in after the snow melts. Though, if they are just an effect of this weekend, they might be gone again by the time the snow is.
Video;
Oh right, I forgot about that place! It might be a bit of a trek to get there, but I wouldn't want to carry them around with me for the rest of my life. Don't get me wrong, they're great, but I don't think Peter would be super happy with traveling with 50 bugs.
... Or, more than 50 bugs, I lost count awhile ago.
Video;
[It probably isn't realistic to first catch them all in pokeballs and then release them. Lots of tiny tiny leashes?]
video
[That is so many adorable, doomed ice-bugs. Adoomable?]
Maybe one of the Marts nearby has- um. A sno-cone machine?
video
[Another Snom climbs up on top of his head and falls asleep there.]
... I am worried if I can make enough for these guys, though. I did grab a lot of them...
[Maybe too many but it's a worthy sacrifice.]

You'll help me hide them from him, will you??? π₯Ίπ₯Ίπππβ

I really hope Peter will let me keep them. They're too cute to let them melt out on these islands.πππππππππ

...and now that you've settled on moving them out, you won't mind if I got started on "de-bugging" the mugs then, right?
no subject
Sure! If you don't mind getting attached to them π These babies are hard to let go of.
no subject
...and actually, /they're/ the ones getting attached to me. [This message is followed by a first-person photo of Winston's hand reaching into the cupboard- multiple snom are clinging to his arm, and even more are peeking their heads out of the drinkware.]
Audio
When Connor was here, he was hell-bent on having bird pokemon despite knowing that I wasn't fond of them. It didn't matter how much it stressed me out. Imagine not liking birds and living with a cranky Swanna. It wasn't great.
You should be honest with him and make sure he knows his comfort comes first, but you'd like him to give you a chance because you've gotten attached.
...Those barely look like bugs anyway, if that's any consolation.
Audio
Gee, I probably shouldn't tell you about Slimer then, should I?
[Aka "Yeah I took in a gross slime monster as a pet despite my partner hating his guts and I continue to have zero regrets."]
Actually they remind me a bit of jewel caterpillars! Except bigger and made out of ice, of course! They're absolutely adorable but I know how Peter can be with Roach and I don't want him to even think about being rude to these babies.
had company for the weekend, sorry for the delay
Just, you know, talk to the guy about it at least.
They're kinda cute though, right. [Hank is not afraid of bugs. Not unless they get in his hair. That is not a place for bugs to be. Otherwise he's pretty fine with them.] Never heard of a jewel caterpillar.
That's quite alright!
[Sorry he's very stubborn about this.]
I can't say I blame you for never hearing about them though! They aren't the most common type of moth. They typically metamorphosis into a fuzzy orange moth, but obviously there's a lot of variation too!

I don't mind bugs so long as they're not pests in my house, but yeah, I don't know all that much about 'em. What do these turn to?
[video]
[video]
[He takes out a Pokeball and releases a Vanilluxe and just... tells them to use hail inside of the kitchen.
Does Ray even realize he's being hit with ice now? It doesn't matter because he's just so enraptured by the Snom all making squeaking sounds of delight as they eat the ice.]
Well that's better! [Sorta.]
[video]
[Ray's Snoms aren't the only ones who are enraptured. There's another one climbing up Cecil's chest, starring at the screen with obvious delight.]
...But do be careful not to slip on the ice. They do not look fast enough to dodge a falling human.
[video]
[He awkwardly sits down, while holding onto his armful of Snom, many of who notice the Snom climbing up Cecil and make sounds of delight.]
I can't believe I never saw these cute little guys before; they're absolutely precious, aren't they?
[video]
[The Snom nods solemnly at that. They'd never pick spoons over some tasty snow treats, right everyone?]
I can only hope they'll last beyond the weekend, this time.

Time to play stupid and hope for the best.]
Hey Peter! π How'd you sleep last night? π
[Please don't kill him.]
no subject
i slept fine up until the moment i woke up with a bug chewing on my hair. thanks for asking.
you wanna explain why theres about five or six giant caterpillars in our bed?
no subject
Well uh
If it helps, I'm trying to save their lives?
[Ugh he can't even bring himself to use emojis with this.]
no subject
This does not mean that he's gotta be happy about it.]
it does not.
im not even sure if pokemon can really die. this dimensions so goddamn weird about death anyway.
also what the hell are you planning on doing with all of them. because we're not keeping fifty caterpillars. dont even think about it
no subject
Winston and I decided that we would drop them off in one of the ice caves. If we do any traveling I don't think I'd be able to keep all of them nice and cold anyway π
Promise you won't break our engagement over this? π₯Ί
no subject
i would never. ive been waiting a decade and a half to marry your dumb ass do you really think this is what'd break me
[You know what that means, Ray? No consequences for anything! Be as stupid as you like.]
no subject
You really mean it Pete? Even if I bring in a million baby bugs? π₯Ί
[Is that a question or a challenge?
no subject
and dont push your luck.
[The answer is yes. But Ray really shouldn't try unless he likes the idea of Venkman physically moving out and living in another hotel for the rest of the month.]
