33rd Recipe [Video, Goldenrod City]
So you know those Christmas eggs that have these new and interesting Pokemon hatching from them?
[Jane is holding her 'gear out in front of her, sitting on the couch in her house, a gentle arm around an unusual creature that, if you came around her house during the 4th Wall, you might vaguely recognize through the hazy memories such events leave behind. The Pokemon has her hands in her lap, and peers up at the 'gear with a measure of sincere shyness.]
Well, this is Deva, and she hatched close to about a month ago! The Pokedex says she's an Indeedee, and outside of typing, she actually really resembles an Audino! Like...a lot. Dinah, would you come over so the folks at home can see?
[Almost begrudingly, the well-known partner to Jane, Dinah the Audino, shuffles into view. Her arms are folded in front of her and she looks grumpily at this new Pokemon sitting so easily next to her girl. And...yeah, dang, there's just something really similar about them, even despite the obvious cosmetic differences. Maybe it's the shape of the head with the ears/horns.]
The Pokedex says Deva should be good at babysitting, while Dinah's proven herself to be an excellent healer, so they're both in caregiver roles, which I find rather fascinating. Do you think this is one of those cases of...well, not Pokemon world evolution, but a sort of...[She tsks and taps her chin.] It's not like the regional form thing, but moreso...perhaps two brances that split from a common ancestor, something like that? I suppose you'd lump it in with Chansey and whatnot-
[As Jane is expositing about Darwinism, Dinah leans close to Deva, her mouth in a pouting frown. Deva looks at her as she inches closer, eyes growing quite wide, and she scoots back, back into Jane. The closer Dinah gets, the more Deva's expression changes from nervous and sweetly shy to very much Bothered, until they're about a hair's breadth apart...]
Dee!
[wHAP
Deva smacks Dinah right on the snoot, making her tumble back - there's an incredible level disparity between them, sure, but Dinah didn't expect to take a hit.]
Aud...!
[And now Dinah dives forward, barreling into Deva and Jane alike, and Poke'gear goes tumbling to the ground.]
What the - girls! Girls, cut it out, the both of you! Stop it!!
[Jane's foot kicks the 'gear and it turns off, but not without revealing a snapshot of her trying to forcibly seperate two Pokemon who, it turns out, are both incredibly posessive of their human trainer. Uh. Well. This is...going to be interesting???]

Ah... It seems there's a fair bit of unfortunate competition going on between them.
Would you believe this is the first time they've actually come to blows at all? I mean...Dinah's been giving her a bit of a cold shoulder, yes, but this was simply not something I expected to happen...
I imagine with two pokemon touted as caregivers, it's the least expected thing.... Still, jealousy can be quite the motivator.
Are you alright, though? I'm sorry you got caught in the scuffle.
I imagine it hurts far more to see them at each other's throats.

[That's the whole message. You're welcome, Jane.]

She responds:

is this the first time youve introduced them to each other? and if not did they show signs of aggression or issues with each other before now?
no subject
Dinah was there when Deva hatched, and outside of simply observing each other, they haven't once come to blows before now. And it's been nearly an entire month! I'm not sure where the animosity could have come from...
no subject
how often have they interacted before now? and did they seem standoffish and icy with each other or just neutral
and have you done anything recently that might've sparked a change in behavior in them?

[That's- not what battling usually looks like? Not the least because of the trainer in the middle.]
[This is essentially what's happening at two completely opposite corners in the house.]

[Hello Jane has a makeshift ice pack on her face from that thwap.]
Though that was the quickest shift to anger I've ever seen from anyone.
[That was really strange to see on a video though.]
Are you okay?
[Jane nods.] I'll be fine, I promise! A bruise heals on its own just fine.
[Bruises are not super bad after all.]
Maybe they're fighting at night so you don't know....but then they probably wouldn't do it in front of you and the camera....
[It's a real mystery.]

Botan actually balks a little bit, sitting back with a wince at the first smack.]
They, um...I think this is over you? At least that's what it sounds like they're upset about.
[As far as she can gather in the short chirps she can hear anyway!! Such fluffy violence!]

[Says Jane, ziploc bag of ice wrapped in a towel and pressed to one side of her face.]
None of my other Pokemon have ever done anything like this before!
