[For once, Botan doesn't seem to be inside of her shop when the feed opens up, she's…in the middle of decorating a house? Sort of, anyway, since obviously she's facing the 'Gear to talk. Wiggling around on the table that she has the camera set up on is a small Applin, though it's not the focus here—it's her troublesome Polteageist and some eggs.]

Hello, everyone, Botan here! Well, I had an experiment to be certain that my Polteageist was capable of producing eggs, and turns out yes, yes he is. [Her Polteageist is genderless, so she had to resort to using her awful amoral Ditto, not that she wants to introduce the world to that right now.] So! [She holds up a picture of a Sinistea, isn't it cute? She's certainly all smiles about it.] Anybody want a Sinistea egg? They're free to a good home! They're a Ghost and Fairy type Pokemon that, I must warn you, will need a special type of teapot to evolve should you want to—it's only found in the Goldenrod Underground, I learned that the hard way.

[Anybody that saw her last broadcast would know, anyway.]

Something like that, Yu-kun? Say hello. [She meant the teapot, which floats itself on up there, gummy spectral-like body coming out of the spout to wave and smile.] This spirit right here inhabits teacups which become part of its body, then the spirit moves on to a special kind of teapot that can house it. It's sort of like hermit crabs, if I had to compare it to something.

Oh! [Well!] How remarkable! I wonder if perhaps they have a preference for particular teacups...

Would one require such a cup ahead of time to hatch the egg?

Mine hopped about to what he deemed "authentic" teacups, but I don't know if his children will act the same way, so while you can keep cups around to see if they'll switch out when they hatch, they hatch in their full teacup form already.

[A pause.]

I know. It's strange. But that's Pokemon for you, I've gotten used to it by now.

Hmmm... [Jonathan appears to enter a moment of thought while the camera is rolling for a bit, no doubt muttering a good amount in his head. Eventually he snaps out of it to speak.] Do you have an idea of how long it would take for such an egg to hatch?

I don't believe I have any cups available right now... [Unless someone wants to inhabit a thermos cup, which he doubts.]

Haha, I should hope so--I raised Yunomi from an egg myself! It took eight days for him to hatch, so a little over a week depending on how warm you keep things around you.

It'll be fine, sir, they'll find their own way.

[Ideally not hijacking anything from someone else's kitchen!!]

[The interest has clearly been piqued. At the very least, trying to convince him NOT to get an egg would probably be harder now, even if he's visibly fighting against the internal thought that 'hey maybe this should be discussed with the travel buddy??'

Once you get the hang of them, eggs aren't all that hard to crack.

Seven, yes. And yes I'm also a Breeder. As for estimated time of arrival, it depends on where you are--Kanto might take about three to four days for example.

Three to four... [Hmmm.] We may indeed be out of this cavern by then- I cannot be certain, but I should think it worth a try. Is there any way to make certain nothing happens to the parcel should we have yet to exit this cave however?

I hadn't as well before December, it's still a relatively new species! I'd be happy to send one over.

Anywhere you fancy is fine, my Charizard usually does the deliveries, and if not him then my Honchkrow or Golurk would be able to. It's just a matter of where you want it sent!

They're pretty hearty, so distance isn't a problem. [One is literally a ghost robot so "hearty" is kind of underselling it!]

Oh, I would definitely be up for that. I love Ghost-types. I've got four of them so far, but I'd always like more.

I live and work in Goldenrod, so I'd be able to get the teapot too--I'd probably be able to pick ones up for other people, actually?

Haha--I've noticed there are quite a few Ghost fans popping up! [And actually it's delightful to her.]

That depends, the Underground keeps odd hours, and the old woman--[she hesitates to say "hag" since it's not nice but dammit that lady took her money]--is...shrewd. [She wants to say miserly.] I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask her.

One of my friends, who got here not long after I did, is a fan as well. And I was talking to someone on here the other day about a Ghost-type variant of Corsola he'd come in contact with--I hope at some point I'll get a chance to have one of those of my own.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who appreciates them. I'm afraid they have [slight hesitation here] my boyfriend a bit spooked.

[Oh god, he admitted to having a boyfriend on this. What is the world coming to?]

Oh, you know. I've never actually asked my girlfriend what she thinks of them. She's dealt with so much before she even met me, I had never considered if ghosts bothered her. They don't seem to, though, she's very brave.

[And she just casually admits to having a girlfriend back like she doesn't notice the pause. She assumes (probably incorrectly) it's because same sex relationships are still considered taboo in other worlds (like hers).]

I was a medium back in my own world, so they're more like an ingrained part of my life than anything else.

[Not actually all that incorrectly, really. They might be more or less fine in his world when he left it, but that's... a relatively recent thing for the vast majority of the population. Like, he was already a grown man, well into his twenties, when same-sex marriage had been briefly legal in his state, only to become re-outlawed by ballot measure. Being publicly out is actually a very new thing for Steven and only possible due to how accepting the pokeworld is.

That said, the fact that she does have a girlfriend makes him feel a bit of kinship with her already, even more than being a fellow Ghost fan.]

I never had a chance to meet any personally in my world--but I always kind of wanted to? And Dia was always my favorite holiday.

What happens if you get the wrong sort of teapot?

Well.

Nothing, really. They don't evolve but your Sinistea won't be pleased at not having found the "right" one.

[She did sort of talk about that like something really dramatic happened, didn't she?]
