[Once again, Ray is making a video where he looks overly excited, but this time he's about to die of pure happiness. He can barely contain himself as he speaks.]

Hey guys, guess what happened to me the other day?

[Ray flashes his right hand and shows off a golden band.]

The boys and I finally got married! I never thought this day would ever come back home, but here we are! It's a shame I missed the proposal, but now that we're married and on our honeymoon I plan to shower my new husbands in all the love they deserve.

[He smiles and looks fondly at his ring.]

It's just... really nice. I never woulda thought so much would happen when I woke up here over a year ago, but here I am! I never thought I would ever encounter a dimension that would make me not sure if I ever wanna go home, but this place is just wonderful with all these cool monsters and being able to get married. There are some things I miss from home but... gee, this place is wonderful.

... Uh, unrelated, but does anyone know of cute romantic gestures that take advantage of the sights at Blackthorn? I've already got a few ideas but I'm all ears if you guys have any more ideas! Thanks!

[He definitely did not talk to the boys about announcing their marriage before making this post.]

[Ray's just about to gush more, but then he stops. He suddenly remembers that, even in this dimension, not everyone okay with the idea of a man marrying another man, much less marrying multiple men. Sure, he wants to be optimistic, but with a man he's never met before...

When he responds, he sounds noticeably guarded, prepared for the worst.]

... Why do you ask?

[And Steven gets right away why he's so guarded because, well. He's been there.]

Oh, Jesus, no, it's not that! I'm not-- I mean, it's the multiple part that startled me, that's all. We don't have that back where I'm from. Hell, gay marriage being legal at all there is-- pretty damn new.

I promise, I'm not looking to gaybash you. That would-- well, it would be pretty damn hypocritical of me.

[And every time he admits it in public, it gets a little bit easier. God, he's so glad Jack convinced him to come out here.]

[The gears in his head turn.

And then he gets it.]

[And suddenly he sounds absolutely cheerful again, as if nothing even happened.]

Gee, why didn't you say so earlier? Yeah it's... not really legal back where I live either, but that's why we got married in this dimension! I mean, I've been with my partners... husbands for years before this, so it was more of a formality at this point, but hey why should heterosexuals have all the fun!

... Granted one of my partners is from another dimension and isn't exactly the guy I know from home, but he's still a great and wonderful husband.

[His last statement seems weirdly pointed, as if he's telling that directly at Egon.]

Sorry. God, I didn't mean to scare you. God knows, I was nervous as hell the first time I went on a date here. You know, it was the first time I'd ever went on a proper date date in a public place? One not disguised as something else or to, you know, a gay bar or somewhere private and exclusive.

I mean, they took the sodomy laws off the books in my state the year I turned twenty-three, so it's not like it was illegal after that--but I had a job in the public eye, so I had to stay closeted for my own good, you know?

It's... weirdly nice being out here.
