[There's audible frustration as you hear swearing and the pokegear clatter to the ground. (Bear with her, this is still new for her as her world used magic devices as their communication tech.) Once it's picked up and she dusts it off, she lets out a huff of embarrassment before turning the camera feature towards the Fletchling on her shoulder, and then to her own face, pointed ears poking out of her hair.]
As you must now already all be aware, I've little knowledge of this place! A curse it must be to be found in this place without your powers, and then find you've become a mortal like all the natives, how insulting!
[A brief pause before shaking her head, stopping herself before she starts cursing the ancients of Tharcia and going on a tirade about how Rivaersa unfairly cursed her, stripping her of her Phoenix powers.]
But no matter, 'tis unimportant. What draws my attention is that all here seem to be gifted in Beastmastery... how curious, that's a rare gift in my home, a gift by bloodline and tribe in fact. Are all in this place of the same ancestors or family lines? Or do these creatures have a friendlier disposition than most beasts? This one on my shoulder here, whom I've decided to name 'Nova', calls herself a "Fletchling" and says she's going to be my companion as I "train" her to become stronger. Is this what those beasts here are all called, Fletchling?
AND WHAT IS WITH THIS AWFUL NOISE PLAYING NON-STOP?

Quite the misfortune to be the same as all, 'tis a shame to have none of the things which make us unique.
[Politeness is a thing she's mastered and uses when it suits her, that's what happens when you deal with political leaders and have to sit through hours of insufferable arguing and boasting at meetings.]
I've not heard of your kind, many apologies. Perhaps too invasive, but may I ask what your people are like? If you'd rather decline, my sincerest apologies for asking too much.

My, my, aren't you a polite sort. Much more tolerable than most, at any rate.
[He's talking about you, fellow rockets.]
Perhaps another time, should we find ourselves becoming more familiar with one another. However, should you've any other queries regarding this world—generous as it is to call it such—you need only ask.

A skill one learns in their upbringing and dealings with others of equally high status, even if they don't deserve such things.
[most of those mortal leaders have been inches away from being set on fire for calling her a child who knows little, when she's been around for a few centuries and sees the repeating patterns clear as day.]
Ah yes, that's quite acceptable. Do forgive that intrusion. I do have one though, yes. Are these trainers they speak of one in the same with Beastmasters?
no subject
Indeed, though I find such a skill rare among even those who ought have it.
[Look, mortals are fickle creatures who focus only on what is directly in front of their face, and what shallow impression their feeble eyes see. They never look deeper, never seek true understanding.]
In a sense, yes. Though markedly different all the same. I know not the practices of beastmastery from whence you hail, but I do believe the similarities will likely outweigh the differences. If you are familiar with such expertise, mayhap this will pose little challenge to you.

A shame others do not try to learn to be as such, t'would save so much time and lessen the needless conflict.
[Much to her annoyance, that unfortunately is true. History is unimportant and won't repeat in their eyes, oh how wrong they are.
She nods.] I see, I see. Where I hail, one is typically born into a clan where they can understand the call and song of beasts within their tribe, able to command them. 'Tis a thing primarily mortals, specifically human or dwarf, gain as a gift since they lack in most magical ability. Though if this is similar, I may have less of a challenge than I thought in this place. After all, I still seem to retain my gift of birdsong.

[With her explanation, he nods, humming thoughtfully.]
This world is not one of magic—outside of what these beasts can do, but it seems a greater portion of these creatures have an affinity with man. For...whatever reason. Though not all can understand them—I for one cannot—they seem capable of understanding us without much complication.
I daresay you've quite the advantage.
