[There's audible frustration as you hear swearing and the pokegear clatter to the ground. (Bear with her, this is still new for her as her world used magic devices as their communication tech.) Once it's picked up and she dusts it off, she lets out a huff of embarrassment before turning the camera feature towards the Fletchling on her shoulder, and then to her own face, pointed ears poking out of her hair.]
As you must now already all be aware, I've little knowledge of this place! A curse it must be to be found in this place without your powers, and then find you've become a mortal like all the natives, how insulting!
[A brief pause before shaking her head, stopping herself before she starts cursing the ancients of Tharcia and going on a tirade about how Rivaersa unfairly cursed her, stripping her of her Phoenix powers.]
But no matter, 'tis unimportant. What draws my attention is that all here seem to be gifted in Beastmastery... how curious, that's a rare gift in my home, a gift by bloodline and tribe in fact. Are all in this place of the same ancestors or family lines? Or do these creatures have a friendlier disposition than most beasts? This one on my shoulder here, whom I've decided to name 'Nova', calls herself a "Fletchling" and says she's going to be my companion as I "train" her to become stronger. Is this what those beasts here are all called, Fletchling?
AND WHAT IS WITH THIS AWFUL NOISE PLAYING NON-STOP?

I... was human once, but it was long ago, and I don't remember what it's like anymore.
[So far, she's not really liking it very much, although it's not as if being a warrior of the Organization had been any better; in some ways, it had even been a great deal worse. But in her experience, humans are crueler and more vicious than almost any warrior, with the possible exception of Rox— of her.]
I suppose if we're here long enough we'll stop noticing it eventually.
[She's not sure she's comfortable with that idea, either.]
The PokeGear machine says mine is a Type... Null? [She takes a moment to fiddle with the camera feature, before turning the device so that Willow can see. The Pokemon is sparkling brightly in the sunlight as it turns its attention towards Cassandra.]

[Although curious, she doesn't press further, she's heard of humans in her own world turned into beings no longer human. Some of which are monstrous and hideous abominations, so it would be impolite to invade that privacy.
But she sighs at the next thing, shaking her head. Perhaps she would get used to it, perhaps it would drive her insane, both of which unnerved her.]
T'would be odd to get used to it.. [however she pauses upon seeing the creature. It looks strange and disturbing, and takes her aback.] Such a strange creature, it looks like it has traits of many creatures, like a chimera.

[If that sounds ominous... well, it is.]
It might be the more merciful option, but it's... I'm not sure I like it.
It... looks like it was created, rather than born? The... PokeGear... says the mask is supposed to control its power, but...
[But it looks uncomfortable and heavy if not actively painful, and Cassandra wonders about those who would design such a thing.]

[an expression of sympathy creeps onto her face, almost of pity bit not close enough to be that either. She feels for any who were turned from human into another creature, even if she didn't much care for them, it was still a fate that oft led to unhappiness when forced.
The same sympathetic expression is given to the Type:Null as well, feeling just the same as she would a chimera: sad]
Control its power you say? How absurd, there should be other ways to control its abilities..

[At least she doesn't have to worry about her sutures in this form. That's taken some getting used to, honestly.]
I think people who want to create powerful things don't often think about what their creations think or feel.

[She shakes her head with a sigh, agreeing wholeheartedly with the woman.]
'Tis something that is fact, playing as if you were a god is shameful. That poor creature. Perhaps if shown sympathies and kindnesses, it may feel grateful in your care.

[She's quiet for a moment.]
I think I'd just be happy if it was comfortable. It doesn't feel right hoping for it to be grateful.
[Maybe she's misunderstanding?]

Gratitude for being cared about can lead to comfort, a good start is it not? 'Twould at least seem that to me.

[She just wants to not be a terrible... owner? caretaker? to it.]
