[After waking up in a bed three times too small and experiencing an absolutely baffling exchange, Hythlodaeus finds himself in the company of a Tropius that manages to be taller than he is. Which is quite the feat at eight feet tall. He looks through his things and finds what is clearly a communicator. A face, obscured by a white mask and black hood comes onto the feed. His voice is alien to himself as he speaks; a rich mid-alto spoken slowly.]

Good... evening, everyone. [He both hopes that there is and is not an "everyone".] This is an effort, I suppose, to see if I am alone in this... simulation. Which, by the by, seems to have been given little oversight by my measure. Though on further examination, I doubt that an authentic experience was the goal.

[He's rambling, but he doesn't seem self-conscious about this.]

Well... There's only one direction to go, so I may as well start walking, hm?

[He shakes his head a little.]

Oh, my apologies. The oddity of this situation seems to have robbed me of my manners. My name is Hythlodaeus.

Oh nearly everything. The suddenness of being brought in, the way I can’t seem to sit on ledges, the single purposed people, the constant music... there must be more clues, though I find these sufficient tells.

The constant music is an annoyance. Why can't you sit on ledges? [THAT'S WEIRD MAN.]

I've only been here a few short weeks, most of it spent walking to different places.

Then you must have seen more than I have. I’ve been here all of ten minutes... Tell me about your travels. Or, failing that, yourself at least. A pattern must emerge.

A lot of forest. A lot of kid's challenging you to a pokemon fight then giving you their allowance when you win [HE REFUSED TO TAKE IT.], any vehicle more than a bike seems to be hard to come by. Most everyone here walks and takes a ferry or boat.

Everyone here seems to have been brought from different universes. Some have been here a few minutes, some for years. I haven't seen any sort of pattern.

[Well. Walking wasn't unfamiliar to him. Obviously they had and understood bicycles, but you never saw them just around.]

I'm expected to fight, then? [And he had none of his own magic... So he was to rely on this mysterious others' Creations. Hmph.]

So this is some sort of enormous time-space engine with terrible control. I'm surprised that this world, this simulation hasn't ripped itself to shreds by now with such fundamental instability. My companion is large, but I know little else about him as it is.

Still, a couple weeks may not be long enough to find the patterns. We will all need to come together to share our findings.

I don't know that I care to find anymore patterns unless they can definitely lead me a way back home. Or for people from my home to come here at will.
