It would take a lot of explaining and things would go badly.

"They are obsessed with animal fights. Their entire society revolves around it. You walk through a forest and a kid will jump out and try to get his animals to fight yours. But the fights are some of the least violent things I've ever seen. They don't fight to the death and if you try to fight yourself, they get really pissed off. There don't even seem to be weapons here."

Look she's grown to like this place but man she misses fighting and weapons. That's just...she misses it okay?

"Now you're just having fun with me, killer."

No weapons? Only non-violent fighting? That's the sort of thing a little kid would make up for a story. Moxxi clearly doesn't believe what Maya's telling her, and she casts a critical look at her lizard-like companion.

"Don't get me wrong, that thing looks like it can do some damage, but come on. What's the real deal?"

"Please, I'd have gone with something a little more believable if I was joking. This place is obsessed with these creatures, they're called pokemon and the world revolves around them. The only thing that makes sense is that you get money if you win ....actually watch this."

Since they're in a city she'll move to a clear area of grass, hold up a pokeball and yell.

"Anyone want to battle? I just beat a gym!"

There is suddenly a group of people around her, with their hands up and clutching pokeballs, yelling that they will. The ages vary from adults, older and children. With only a few annoyed glances and mutters of 'can't you take this to a gym?' from the people off to the side.

She'll look over to Moxxi.

"I told you this place was weird."
