....What happened to these murderous armies of learning-capable robots?

[Two lengths of hair shrug.] My friend Bow destroyed their power source so they'd stop trying to kill us, using a sonic arrow. It was actually very impressive, but it was disappointing that we had to destroy them at all.

Yes it is a shame they could not be helped.

[Tenenbaum really falls behind the 'do no harm' side of science these days so yeah that's the way her mind went.]
firstonesexpert: (you see all this shit)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-07 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[Meanwhile Entrapta, unfortunately, is still working her way out of it.]

There wasn't any real helping them. The power source I used entered a defensive state and began taking over the computer it was installed in. If it continued unhindered, it would have caused them to kill us all [Entrapta don't sound so excited when you say that] and quite potentially spread to other robotic systems until my entire kingdom became an unstoppable, murderous citadel of horror!!

[She pauses, in her excited mad scientist pose with both hand raised towards the heavens in posturing excitement, and lowers them again to look at Tenenbaum seriously.]

But that would be bad.
mothergoose: (Never rest)

[personal profile] mothergoose 2020-07-07 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
...Yes, that would be very bad.

[Also serious but she nods.]

We had some rudimentary robotics in my world but my focus was on other things. Were robotics common where you are from?
firstonesexpert: (HEY WHAT'S THIS)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-08 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! Because I make them!

[She gives her a bright grin.]

Across the rest of Etheria the only extant group that makes robots is the Horde, but their quality massively improved after I started working with Hordak, because I was able to integrate some of the works from an extinct group known as the First Ones!

....What do they use these robots for?
firstonesexpert: (you see all this shit)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-12 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
The First Ones used them to protect important locations and artifacts! But the Horde used them to try and take over Etheria.
mothergoose: (We will escape)

[personal profile] mothergoose 2020-07-12 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
You were helping someone to try and take over your world?

[That's...confusing but then again it's not like she knows all the politics there..?]
firstonesexpert: (data time!)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-12 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Not necessarily! I was performing independent research using Horde resources, which they would then replicate to use as weapons against my friends' kingdoms.

[Completely conversational, there's nothing wrong with using her designs as WOMD.]
mothergoose: (Work is never done)

[personal profile] mothergoose 2020-07-12 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
......

[Oh god you're reminding her of herself a lot.]

Your friends did not ask you to stop providing their enemies with research to use against them?
firstonesexpert: (Me and my Buddies)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-12 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[One large strand of hair untangles itself to turn hand-shaped and flap dismissively in the air.]

They thought I was dead. When they found out, though, they did start trying to tell me I couldn't do things for Hordak anymore. Which was incorrect, I was fully capable and in fact was ready to open a portal into the greater universe, until I double-checked my working and confirmed that it would likely lead to the imminent destruction of the known universe.
mothergoose: (Let me think)

[personal profile] mothergoose 2020-07-12 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I think ....perhaps they meant, should not. I have noticed people tend to mix those up.

["Couldn't" just meant try harder after all.]

What did you do with the device to open the portal then?
firstonesexpert: (active listening)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-21 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I was planning on dismantling it. At least, I would if Hordak said it was okay. It was a collaborative effort and I'd hate to overstep that by making a decision on it without him.

[She flips her visor up and grins brightly at Tenenbaum.]

But that didn't matter in the end, because Catra set it off anyway and it got destroyed!
mothergoose: (Not certain)

[personal profile] mothergoose 2020-07-22 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Your universe has been destroyed?
firstonesexpert: (you see all this shit)

[personal profile] firstonesexpert 2020-07-30 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes and no. Technically, Catra activating the portal device did create a portal, but it was self-contained in such a way that it set off a chain reaction that would have ultimately destroyed the subdimension our planet was contained in, and if left unchecked could potentially have also destroyed the greater universe.

Instead, Queen Angella was able to close the portal from the inside, which reset the damage and completely spared the universe! [A brief pause.] Well, except for her.
