Yep. Though...since they're ghost items, you can't really do anything with them. I could use a ghost computer, but if I had to defend myself, a ghost weapon wouldn't do anything. It'd just go through someone. Ghost food, you can't eat that either...so it's only really good for hiding, or seeing.

[Hm.] ...I guess it does seem confusing though huh...it's not like how ghost pokemon are though. It's more like the world remembers what was there, so it's preserved as a ghost.

[She... thinks she gets it now? Although she's not sure she has the proper vocabulary for it.]

So it's a... sort of shared memory? That most people aren't really aware of? Or it's a memory of the place itself?

I'm not sure...I don't think anyone where I was before really remembered the old version of the building. And the people here...well, it burned down hundreds of years ago. So I guess it's a memory of the place?

I didn't know places could have memories.

[She can't help but wonder what kinds of memories Organization Headquarters would have. Probably terrible ones.]

It's a little weird, I guess. It is what it is though, [he ultimately decides with a shrug.]

[Cassandra's still not entirely sure she understands, but she's also not sure asking more questions would help.]

So there's a memory of this tower before it was burned.

Which means we can see what it looked like. ...If you want to?

[Cassandra hesitates for a moment, then nods.]

[He takes her hand- or wrist, if that's easier-

And steps into a space that seems to fold out from the wreckage.]

Here...we...go!

[And quite abruptly instead of walking over ashen wood, they're somewhere Else, with decorations of Brass rather than Tin.]

Woah...

...It... ...looks a lot like the other tower, I guess...

That makes sense.

[As far as she can tell, anyway.]

The metals are different, though.

Yeah. [He moves toward one of the statues, poking it.] I don't know what kind of metal it is but...it looks more like something decorative? The statues in the Bell Tower almost look like silverware- not 'silver', but the kind of metal that matters for lasting a while...

[Cassandra frowns.]

It looks decorative, but... maybe it's stronger than it looks? Not enough to withstand what happened, but... [And now she looks uncertain.] I don't know.

There's probably meaning to the metals they picked. There must be, mustn't there?

Maybe...

It could be that they wanted it to last through normal weather conditions- the sort of thing that you'd see happening over lots of years of time. The Bell Tower still looks nice after hundreds of years right..? ....so if it hadn't been for the fire...maybe this would still be what it looked like.

[She looks around some more.]

Can we explore it like this?

We should be able to, yeah- everything that was here once before, will be here now. I spent most of my life in a ghost room- so this place definitely won't give out before we're done.

[Why is every other thing you tell her so worrying, Emporio?]

This comes with consequences.] Yeah. It was pretty nice actually- there was a lot more stuff than in here...there was a piano, a shelf full of books...there was even a computer!

...And some food I guess, but you can't eat ghost food. It just goes through you.

[Why do people here keep trusting her? She's a total stranger to most of them.

...Although it is admittedly preferable to being hated and feared all the time. But that doesn't make it any less strange to her.]

How did you sustain yourself?

[seacub]

Huh?

[Oh, he must not have been very clear...] Oh. I didn't stay inside the ghost room all the time- I just went outside to get food from elsewhere, that's all. It was pretty easy.

[Naturally, it's here that he grows vague again.}

Was it safer in the ghost room?

[Well. On the one hand yes, but.

Hm.] It was more comfortable, [he answers vaguely.] Before I knew how, my mom would bring me there...and after she was gone, I just kept using it.

[That honestly worries her even more, but a lot of the questions she wants to ask are uncomfortably close to prying, if not actually over that line, and they've only just met.]

Can they be detected by other people? [Are people outside seeing the ghost tower too?]

Ghost rooms?

Not really. I have to show them first- after that it's not hard to find where you can slip into it, but otherwise it's easy to miss.
