"Absolutely," Sento says. "I'd wager it's easier to change if you don't remember who you ever were in the first place. In its own way, it can be rather freeing." He grimaces. "Hell of a cost, but sitting around brooding on it never got me anywhere."

"Cost?" The Soldier glances over in Sento's general direction. "So it was hard to change? Even without your memories?" That's discouraging. He'd really rather... not be HYDRA's Asset anymore.

"Well," Sento allows, "without my memories, I didn't know that I was changing. That any changes may have needed to be made." There's a humorless laugh. "But, well. The truth has ways of catching up with us all, no matter how unprepared we might not be. At that point, I knew where I was going and who and what I wanted to be, and that was enough."
