12th [video network post]
Y'know, I've been thinking about something.
[At first, the camera is on Kazuki. He's sitting on this back porch, with his Type: Null, Sarge, stretched out on his lap in such a way that it's not poking or stabbing him with any of it's sharp parts while it gets some quality pets. There's a Togekiss at this side too, all fluffed up and enjoying a nap.]
Over the past couple of months, I've taken in a lot of Pokemon. Usually ones that people like us leave behind when they go home, but I've got a few wild rescues too. Lately, it's been getting to the point where I'm starting to run out of room for them to live in on the little property I have, since I don't like putting them in the PC unless I absolutely have to.
[Here, he pans around to his backyard, where there's a panoply of Pokemon hanging out. He's right-- it's starting to get a little cramped. The Pokemon don't seem bothered by it quite yet, but it would probably only take another rescue or two before things start to get hairy.]
I don't want to have to turn anyone away because there's no room left, so I had a kind of idea. Maybe I could move somewhere where I could get a bigger piece of property, with something like an inn or BNB, and make it into some kind of business? Like a place where Pokemon and people can come to to rest and heal from whatever's troubling them.
I'm not an expert on anything like that, so I'd probably need some help, but it really feels like it could be a worthwhile thing to do. Especially after the Aether Paradise incident. I thought that place was really great when I was volunteering there, so it was really too bad that it was just a front for fishy stuff going on behind closed doors. So I want to make a place kind of like that, but for real, you know?
Right now it feel like some kind of pipedream. but I'm the kind of person that likes to make dreams like that come true. If people like us can open Gyms and bakeries and cafes and stuff like that, I could do it too, right? I just have to find where to start.

[And she's got two of his pokemon now.]
That sounds like a good idea. And it's not like it could be worse then Aether. Do you have any idea of where you'd locate this?
Re: Video
I was thinking someplace rural. Most of the towns and cities in Kanto are pretty modern, so I was thinking Johto. Maybe Azalea, Cianwood, or Mahogany?
Video
Rural is probably a good idea. I don't know as much about those certain areas. Most of the people I know and go to stay with are all on the islands.

Would you be trying to get just land to build on, or something with a building already on it?

I suppose the cost would vary.

What was Aether Paradise? I think that was before my time here.

Oh, they first popped up, like... about a year ago? It was this really nice, high-tech Pokemon rehabilitation center. At least on the surface it was. They actually had really sketchy stuff going on behind closed doors, like doing experiments on Pokemon, and messing around with the Ultra Beasts, and then there was that color-sucking Pokemon that was making the Legendaries sick...
...Oh, right, Ultra Beasts! They were these weird, Pokemon-like, but not Pokemon, creatures from some other universe or something that got sucked in here against their will because of stuff the Aether Foundation was doing. They were causing a lot of trouble because they wanted to go back home, poor guys. Thankfully we found a way to return them all to where-ever they came from.
But yeah. The actual rehabilitation part of the Foundation was genuinely cool! I had a lot of fun volunteering there. I'd like to make something like that for real-- but a lot less high-tech, I guess.

[Greg's glad he wasn't there for it.]

What's Xylo?

[Kazuki is soon joined by his Kricketune, who has a gentlemanly nature. He jiggles his head back and forth, which causes his mustache to rattle, making a sound very much like his namesake.]
Neat, right? That's his best one.

[There are more questions, but that one seems the most important for the moment.]
I think I kind of agree with your friend's stance, though. Stuffing them into pokeballs or into the PC just seems... I don't know. Wrong?

[Which might be part of why he's considering eventually taking on the next gym.]
Do you have any specific properties in mind? I could keep an eye out and get ahold of you if I see something that might work.

[Hunk's expertise is in other areas, alas. But all of this sounds like an amazing idea, so he wants to help if he can.]

Sure thing, just let me know! I really appreciate any kind of help, there's no way I can do this totally on my own.

[Or, well, the second, but there's no need to get into semantics just now.]
Have you gotten many other offers yet?
